Get a move on
I guess it's safe to talk about the immediate plans for my housing future now. From what I can understand our house has been sold and mom+dad have aqcuired an apartment that we'll live in until we've got something sorted out in the other town. I've not seen the apartment but they say it needs a lot of work and that could be fun or just added stress. It'll be available to us from the 1st of July and we'll spend most of that month fixing it up before moving out, which I think has to be done before August. Time to memorize a new address and phone number, yay.

It only has 2 bedrooms so dad'll sleep in the living room. I could spend way too much time talking about the issues this creates but let's just say that there won't be many places to get some peace once we move there. Right now we've got our own separate rooms to reatreat to, as well as the garage. I wonder if they've actually thought about that, especially since their fighting have escalated lately.

The one sort of positive thing about this is that we plan on building our own house in the other town. So we'd have our own house to move into, instead of trying to make someone elses house distinctly ours. But that's not a definite. Still, it's a positive beacon.


And all of this means that if you want to send me mail [that won't get to me until after August] it's best to wait until I'm settled in at my new address and know for sure the mail will get there.
