Today Mimmi had an adventure ^__^
Ok, so you all know dad wanted to "hang out" today ? Well, we opted for a shopping spree instead of going to the cinema (since "Finding Nemo" was only available in Swedish dub *cringe* )
Dad wanted to look for an MP3 player and I had nothing better to do *cough*
So we went to this nearby town and obviously didn't find any decent MP3 players (*rolls eyes*), but right next to the HI-FI store was another very interesting boutique ~_^
It had CD's, DVD's and even some books, and it was pretty much dead cheap ^__^
I started off just browsing about (since I can never seem to find stuff anyway) and the more I looked, the more I found *giggles*
But I managed to keep myself in check, even if I saw stuff not only for myself, but for a lot of other people ~_^
PT !
"Reservoir Dogs" DVD + "Pulp Fiction" DVD + a 20 pages long interview with Quentin Tarantino for 16 $ (or there about)
He probably has it, but it made me think of him ^_^
And I saw some Janis Joplin (my sister adores her) and plenty of stuff that I would love to get my hands on *grins* But anyway, I got:
* "Hook" DVD (Robin Williams)
* "Wind in the willows" VHS (Terry Gilliam and Co)<-- is it Gilliam or Jones ? =\
* And I also got 3 books by Stephen Donaldson ("The Mirror of her dreams" series)
Dad got two DVD's ("Don Quixote" and another one with Gerard Depardieu) which I had to pay for, since he didn't bring any money *LOL*
But it all added up to… about 25 $ or somewhere near that. Not too bad, me thinks ^__^
We tore ourselves from the shop (eventually) and figured we'd go to another HI-FI store to see if they had any good deals on dads newest fixation =P.
So we got into the car, drove off the parking lot and up to a roundabout. And what happened ?
The car died !
Luckily we hadn't gotten into the roundabout and could shove the car (and ourselves) out of harms way. Two guys helped with the shoving and an older man offered some advice on what might be the problem and how to sort it.
Dad figured/hoped that we'd run out of gas, and that filling the tank up a bit would sort things out. There was a gas station across the road, so we marched over and got some juice.
After filling the old heap of metal up, we tried to get it started... I don't know how many times, but enough to make you lose hope -_-
( I wasn't too worried though, there are plenty of buses and trains going between my town and the one we went to. So if the car decided to bail on us, we'd get home somehow >_> )
Just as we were about to give up – the car started O.o;
I suggested we go back home and dad agreed that it'd be best not to push our luck.
And that was the end to the little adventure, which wasn't a whole lot but still enough to be called a mini adventure >__>;
And we had pizza ! Always a great way to end an expedition, of any kind ~_^
That there is a picture of the Houses of Parliament.. in Canberra, if I remember correctly ^_^;
I was talking to someone on AIM and was shown that and it simply blew me away. So of course I had to put it on display here ~_^
It came up during a conversation about travelling, a subject that seems to be on my mind a lot these days. And upon seeing that picture I realised that I always want to go to another country, but I've barely seen my own. My sister lives in the capitol of Sweden, and I've only seen the train station, basically O_o
Sooo... I'm going to take advantage of having a sister who’s ridden with guilt for not spending enough time with her family and have her escort me about Stockholm ^___^
It'll probably only be a short day-tour, since there is no way I'll spend the night there, and I probably wouldn't have the energy to make a big deal out of it anyway =P
But the camera would come with me and the three of us could have a swell time together, I think ~_^
I'm also going to check up on the whole Northern Lights thing, since that would be such an awesome experience !
So thanks for the inspiration - I'll make sure to buy chocolate with me as a souvenir *wink*
"The last Samurai" is coming to the cinema in my town this weekend !!!! Which means I only have to spend money on the tickets (which are way less costly here, compared to other towns) !!!
It also means that I will be able to see it twice as much, if I want to ^_^
Badness Baby ~_^
Take Care Everyone !
Remember that People and Objects are only as much fun as you make of them ^_^
