*cuddles her Quicksilver t-shirt*

I'm taking everyone's advice to rest today and therefore I will not be giving an update on yesterday.

........

*falls off chair laughing*

Sorry, but I'm sure you're all laughing with me ~_^

I have been resting today, though. I only did some browsing about myO's and a lame comment in Mitch's poetry thread, which I am deeply sorry about. I wanted to keep my promise about posting today, but I couldn't offer much of a response. If all goes well, that post will be edited tonight. Again, I'm sorry Mitch =\

Ok, I love to dramatize my life and its happenings, but seeing as how I'm barely fending off a cold and taking it easy, I'll try not to go off tangents... But you can't hold that against me, should I break that attempt >__>;

Stockholm

Thursday morning – 05.00 am. My alarm goes off and tells me to get up, despite the fact that I've not slept much and the bed is sleepy warm. (see ? already I'm elaborating and stuff ^_^; )
Dad drops me off at the train station around 06.10 am and I catch the first train for the day. To get to Stockholm, I have to switch trains in a nearby town.
About 20 minutes after I've boarded the connecting train, they make an announcement:

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have some unfortunate news."

Surely this would make anyone freak out and think that there had been a huge accident and dead people ? ... Yeah, I thought so.

"There is a technical fault to the engine, which means that we cannot go faster than 80 km/h, due to safety reasons. We will stop in [town] where you will be able to switch to another train that will take you to your destination. We apologise blah blah blah."

Huge sigh of relief, no accidents or dead people.

As I got on train nr 2 of the day, I accidentally ended up in 1st class ~_^ But since we'd come from the "broken train" I, and others, were allowed to stay ^__^

I got to Stockholm around 9.30 am and met up with my sister. We headed for McDonalds so that she could get some coffee, which she unfortunately spilled on her hand >__<
The stuff was boiling hot and the personal did nothing to help out -_-
She washed off her hands with some cold water and then we went straight to the Pharmacy and got her some lotion to soothe the burn.

Our first stop of the day (that was planned anyway) was a boutique called Hollywood. They've got clothes from Rip Curl/Quicksilver and I wanted to check that out. Hehe ~_^
I had pretty much decided to buy just the one t-shirt, since my wallet didn't allow for much this month. But seriously, that was one difficult promise to keep =\

I never try clothes on, because I'm lazy and the booths are always bothersome. But I figured that since they weren't your average cheap t-shirts, I'd make the effort and try them on.

.... *tries to explain it, without going dirty on people* 0:]

The quality was pure heaven, it felt like you weren't wearing anything – yet you didn't feel nude. *eyes glaze over*
After trying one t-shirt on, I wanted to stay all day in that booth, trying different stuff out =^_^=
I did want a pair of jeans (hehe, pants) to go along with the t-shirt, but I couldn't find a pair that would go easy on my bank account ^_^;
Next time.. next time >__>

After tearing myself away from the shop, my sister got a haircut. I picked up one of those gossip magazines *cringe* but I wasn't paying much attention to it... you see, there was a guy in there who was speaking English... with an accent... Australian accent ~_^
So my flipping through pages was a sneaky attempt to pretend I wasn't soaking up every word coming out of his mouth. (Oh, I'm such an innocent little girl *wink* )

It was now around lunch time. We made our way to a ... very odd place ^_^;
There was basically a courtyard filled with tables and chairs, and all around the courtyard was all kinds of fast food places (this was indoors, by the way) - Chinese, Italian, burgers and pizzas, you name it. And it was jam packed O.o;
Somehow we landed ourselves a table and got or food decently quick.

You know those pizza plates ? The big ones ? .... The pizza I ordered was bigger than those plates O_O; I think I ate about ¼ >__>;
If we'd known the sizes of those things, we'd only have bought one and shared it ^_^; But it was cheap, so there was no harm ;)
(The pizza bread was yummy. Always get pizza bread with your pizza *nods* )

Then what ? *thinks*

We walked about, visited that sci-fi shop I was talking about (they had an entire wall filled with anime *drools*) but I didn't get anything. Not this time ~_^

I had my camera with me, but it was tricky to take pictures of anything. There were loads of people in the way, other stuff blocking the view and so on. But I took one roll, so we'll see how that develops (hehe).

(.... maybe I should split the day into two posts ?... I'm reaching the third page in Word here.... it'll still be the same amount to read though, so I might as well keep going ) =P

We sat down in a café and eaves dropped on a conversation three foreigners had in Swedish. Yes, you heard me right. They were from Italy and German and keeping a conversation in Swedish. They did a really great job, even with the grammar. It was good fun to listen to them coming to grips with expressions and words, I could've stayed there all day listening to them ^__^

This was around 3 pm and my sister and I were both tired from walking around all morning. My back was also killing me, so we only did a few quick stops in some shops and then sat down on a bench next to a check out in a supermarket *lol*

It's really amusing to observe people checking their groceries out... ^_^;

After a while the noises from the cash registers became too much, so we moved to a nearby café and sat in these really comfy chairs the rest of the time we had left. The serene moment was slightly disturbed by Britney Spears blaring from the speakers and shoppers going mad over the book sale >_>;
But when you're exhausted, you really don't care. We stayed there for an hour or so, until it was time to jump on the train back home.

My train left the station at 18.15 and I was on it.. makes sense right ? =P

When we had been going for 20 minutes or so..... they make an announcement. The same one as this morning ~_^

" Faulty engine, can only go at 80 km/h and when we reach this station it'll be seen to. "

It took over one and a half hour to get to said station, and this was the express train -_-;
The information was scarce and poor, leaving the passengers hanging. The minute you called home/to whomever, they make a new announcement with information that completely overthrows any plans made since the last announcement *rolls eyes*

Luckily I had some great company to make the annoyance bearable.
I sat across this really nice girl, around my age, and she was very open and approachable. I'm normally not very sociable, add to that fact that I was really tired, but we chatted the entire trip away. It was really, really nice.

We also spoke to this older man, who had rushed to catch the train. His brother was dying and he wanted to come home as quickly as possible, hence why he took the express train.
Poor guy was trying to find out how soon he'd arrive at his destination, most likely stressing our real bad, but still managing to keep a somewhat light tone to our conversations.
Thanks to him I got more information about what was going on, than I would've if I had just sat there and waited for announcements.

I missed my connecting train with nearly 2 hours, but the train company had chartered a bus to take home the people who missed that connection. The girl whom I spent most of the time talking to, was on that bus also and we kept each other company until we arrived at my town.
If it hadn't been for her, the day might've been completely ruined... And I didn't even get her name *laughs softly*

The trip was supposed to take a little over 2 hours, meaning I would've been home around 21.00 pm, instead it took 5 hours... I didn't get home until 23.15 pm.
I had basically been on foot for almost a full day O.o;

I got online for a few minutes, spoke to Kenji some and then went to bed, hoping to sleep until tomorrow =P

Now it's today and I've not slept more than I usually do, but I'm not nearly as burnt out as I thought I'd be.
Resting does seem to do the trick ^_^;

And now I'm on my page 4 in Word, so I'll stop writing now and get on AIM. Because talking to you people does me a world of good ^____^

Take Care Everyone !
Remember that there are two time zones in Sweden – the commonly known one and
the express train one ~_^
