Dad is a member of a club where they send out a DVD every month (unless you cancel it) and he'd forgotten to cancel this months shipment - "War of the worlds" and "Star Wars 3" - so I took it off his hands. Also in the shipment was "Cinderella", which he'd promised to get me as a present. A bit later in the day [while shopping] I found a "Doctor Snuggles" box set and that was just too good not to snatch. That's a lot of DVD's in one day and entertainment shouldn't be something I'll be short on for the time being, heh.
My phone and keyboard have both been replaced with new, shiny upgrades. (*swallows urge to quote "Robots"*) The old keyboard's letters were beginning to fade and I've been frustrated with my old phone for quite some time. So that led me to buy a sleek [black] keyboard, which'll take me some time to get used to but feels oh-so-good to type with, and a Nokia 6101. Treating myself coincided with my parents doing the same, otherwise there's no way I'd've gotten all this in such a short span of time. You wont hear any complaints about it from me, though.
A cold/depression that struck after getting back from London has meant I've not worked for almost 2 weeks. My "internship" at the video store had been extended to last through November but there's been no talk about further arragements and that made me uneasy, though I didn't know so until I got sick. Negative thoughts have a tendency to crawl out of the woodwork when you're down and out *nods*
Two phonecalls today seemed to sort that out. My supervisor had called the owner, who was more than ok with me staying through December as well, and hopefully it'll be ok'ed so I can get money too.
Speaking of my supervisor... Both mom and I have a sneaky suspicion that the he's going to run into the famous wall any day now. He lost his dad earlier this year and was hit pretty hard by it, along with his workload increasing significantly when a company went out of business - making many jobless - and a lot of people suddenly needed the assistance his office provives. It's made him very stressed out, if not very whimsy. Communicating with me about how things are going to go has been left to the absolute last day these past couple of months, something that makes me wonder if I should just explore options on my own. Then again, he'll be able to offer me loads of help in whatever I'd be interested in pursuing. Sounds like a mix of scouting around myself and getting assistance from him might be the way to go. Mmm. Mhm.
Eh, this depressed cold is knocking me out.... cold. There are times when it feels better and Kat managed to catch me in one of those moments, making it last a little longer *glomps her and Liam* I'll try to repay the loveliness you two give me!
It hasn't managed to stomp my itching creativity. Not sure if that's good or bad. Alan would most likely groan, shake his fist against the sky and then slap my hands off :p Poor guy gets pestered a lot when it comes to my creative outbursts.... Though he's also the only guy around when they occur! Everyone else is either away or not on at all. Lame excuse but an excuse none the less, heh.
But now I must end this post to lavish in some Literati. Mmmmm =) |
