Pack it in
Shinmaru: I know! It's just hilarious to see him shuffle about, all frustrated, and then go "I must've lost my mind, because I love you, but will you marry me!?" Whoever said etiquette is boring is clearly nuttier than Mr Darcy at that moment.

Molly: *steals a snuggle* You too, my love!

MC: Mmmmm, paint fumes. What color are we talking?

Evil: *plants a smacker on your cheek* Pray tell, how doth your man compare to Mr Darcy? ~_^

Yesterday ended up being quite alright. Mom, Eleine and I played Backpacker, a game that has made its big move from the computer to the board. At first the game seemed pretty disoriented but once we got the hang of how it was to be played, it was smooth sailing. By that I mean lots of laughter and amusing moments, mostly stemming from reading things wrong and getting things very wrong by doing so. Though dad was his usual bothersome self from time to time. He was at the apartment when we started but joined us once he got back. He just has a knack for being annoying when it comes to playing games of any kind.

It was a lot of fun to play with only mom and Eleine, especially since I didn't think mom would want to tag along and she ended up rocking our socks off. Way to go, mommy!

After we finished off a couple of cities (London, Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles), Eleine and I began to watch Shrek. At this point it was really hard for me to keep my eyes open so I went to bed 5 minutes before midnight. Once the major bulk of fireworks had been set off (there's always a big show at the town square) it didn't take me long to doze off. Poor dad didn't catch much shut eye, sleeping wall to wall with some very [drunken] festive neighbours, heh. There were no papers coming out this morning so the lack of sleep didn't cause him too much harm.

The prospect of moving again, in March, doesn't seem to bother him much either. We've secured an apartment in the same town as Juliette and Eleine, which is the same town we're planning on building the house (which I'm dying to have happen). And this time we'll all get our own bedrooms. Dad's had to create a little nook behind the book cases in the living room in this apartment. I've not seen the new place but mom is excited about it.

Something that isn't exciting at all, is my dentist's appointment this Wednesday. It's been almost 2 years (or possible little over 2 years) since I was there last. They usually call every year to book you (*snicker*) but apparently forgot about it or were too busy. I would've called myself but ... I obviously never got around to doing so. Hrm.

Not only does the idea of having holes needing to be fixed scare me, but, my heart always pound so hard that it makes the chair shake and I always think it does so very violently, which is embarrassing :-[ The actual dentist won't be able to see me this time, though. An assistant will check my teeth out for holes and remove any tartar (what an odd word). I've been lucky these past years with not having any cavities. Hopefully it's the same this time.

Recently discovered note of interest: As it turns out, Eleine is the reason behind my addiction to all things sheep related. She's got some plushie sheep, as well as a couple of figurines. Amazing how things slip your mind yet still manage to inspire and influence you.
