  Liam: As happy as it would make me to see his inbox flooded with spam, a smile from you would make me even happier =)

Blackjack: "Sorry but I just want to slap him in his ugly mug and tell him to cheer up and stop whining." <-- And that's what makes him and I so alike =D

Becky: Rawr *snuggles and purrs* I can't get your amazering story out of my head now. It's addictive!

John: Yeah, it is a waste of time getting worked up about it, but there are circumstances *will explain further down*

Evil: And then put it on fire, afterwards? *sneakily puts a box of matches in her backpocket*

Sara: I heart Sara. Tremendously. So does a plushie of mine =)

Sarah: Will you be my bodyguard? :3

So! There were bids on my auctions. Legit ones. But mom didn't know that. All she knew was how some random dude was trying to mess with her daughter. This caused a big deal of stress when a guy called and wanted to speak to me about the phones. She thought it was the dude, while I hadn't registered that any contant with the buyer would be over the phone (usually it's done through email). Cue mild chaos and raised voices. On my part.

Mom was already really upset about the whole "man of GOD" portion of this tale and it took some explaining to get her up to speed about how the auction works. It doesn't help matters any that she had a rather rough childhood, experiencing a lot of darkness and downright evil, which has tainted her heavily. I try to remain as 'naive' as possible, believing in the best of outcomes, so there's a huge clash whenever something unpleasant happens. Mostly because I get angry at how she's suffered through such atrocity, but moreso because she's usually right and I don't want to end up where she's arrived. That's not to say I'm turning a blind eye to everything gone wrong in this world or the dangers that are present. I just relish in what's still good and refuse to let the bad hinder me. Too much.

That's kind of hard to do, though, all things considered. A shame that an attempted and failed rape had to have such a negative aftermath. Grrr.

Still! The phones have been paid for, and will soon have new owners. As long as the psycho dude doesn't make more fuss, everything will have had a good ending. And that's what matters.

Something else that brightened up the day considerably was having the two sisters over. Eleine pointed out that the video store I was going to today (to introduce myself and explain that they needed me to work there) were actually looking to hire! Boy did that get me rushing around like mad, trying to find the reference my former employee had written. It took me a while to locate it, what with the move messing up my register of where things are, and once I found it I couldn't get into town fast enough ^_^;;;

Eleine was nice enough to drive me to the job center, where I filled out the application and sent it via email. After that we swung by the video store to hand over the reference paper (which couldn't be emailed and I thought it'd be nice to have the owner meet me in person, however brief).

Then we went home, had some delicious chicken, followed by tasty dessert and lastly Juliette and I had a blast, as always, playing Bubble Bobble =)

I may whine when things are down but
I make sure to sing even louder when they're looking up.

PS: Where does one go to buy licensed [legit and preferably decently priced] anime on the web? And is PeaceMaker Kurogane available in a box set?

*plots to stalk Dagger's brilliant brains*
