Becksy: Yoga would probably be a good thing for me, it's just that activities that are meant to reduce stress tend to stress me out more >>;;; Probably because I feel how stressed I am and can't focus on relaxing? They do have Pilates at the gym .... Hm.
!!! I must remember to read your new chapter :3
Shabam: *snuggles* You're a wise woman. It makes me very happy that you were right :3 And you should try to see whatever you can of "So you think you can dance" because there's a lot to look at. Dancing and pretty people :p
Kei: BOOOOOOOYAH! They were awesome *fans herself* But you know, I actually fancied Artem's moves more than Dimitry's :x
Most of the guys and girls stepped up their game a lot in the second episode so now I'm looking forward to following the show :D
Slick: *snaps fingers* They'd better get it out on DVD soon. I needs to see all them moves again. So far they've had Nick (first episode) and Ryan (this week) as guest dancers, the latter making me pine to see the first season ;_;
Speaking of working out, you do some heavy manual labour at work (right?) so that right there is a major kudos point to you *bows*
SukiTori: If going to the gym is too expensive or a hassle you can always exercise at home? Do sit-ups and such, chase your hubby around the apartment ~_^ Then you can tell us all about it and feel super :3
Sean: The weirdest thing is happening with my tummy recently. It's expanding O.o Maybe I'm just imagening things but it feels like everything is gravitating towards the belly enmasse. Very strange.
It's all fat, too, so we can rule out any digestion problems :/
Sarah: Summer is sucky when it comes to how long (or rather, NOT) things stay open. Right now I'm working the afternoons/evenings so there's no time to go afterwards and I gotta plan it more carefully if I go before work. Bah!
Charlie: No one will challenge you to prove it either, seeing as it's a universal truth ;p I've not been going to the gym for more than a couple of weeks but already it's become a routine that is noticable when not followed. You're probably in such shape that it won't show if you've slacked off *envies*
Ok, so I'm tired and can't finish the post >.> Will do so tomorrow! Just gotta leave myself some notes to remember what to write.
My hours in the kitchen are from 3PM to 7PM, which means I need to adjust my gym times. Yesterday I went around 1.30PM and saw the huge crowds of people around the pools. No wonder when it was somewhere around 33 degrees Celsius *_*
After my workout there was a line from the desk to outside the door of people wanting to buy entrance to cool themselves off in zeh pools. Hadn't it been for the fact that I had to rush home and eat before dashing off to work .... I wouldn't have mind dipping myself too ;_;
But work beckoned! Like yesterday I filled and fixed up the sallads-and-stuff-buffet they serve with dinner. Then they had me do these ... appetizers? Dunno the word in English but basically I cut triangles of white bread, buttered them, added a small sallad leaf, tried really hard to make the little slice of salmon look good on top of it, snuck in a slithered slice of red pepper behind, cut a thin piece of lime to decorate with and finally put a sprig of dill on top.
Unfortunately I didn't get to help out with the dessert (other than slicing fruits to garnish with) but they would be serving the passionfruit parfaits yours truly made the day before, haha. It's not my cup of tea savoury treat, though >.>
The chefs in charge (two guys younger than me) were quite busy so they weren't able to give me as much attention/projects. That's a tiny concern of mine, knowing how rushed it can be in a kitchen and to have an 'apprentice' to give work to. So long as they don't feel pressured about it we'll be fine =)
Ironically enough they were playing this heavy/death/whatever metal that was quite stress inducing - and murder on my ears - though I guess it helped them to keep things running fast :p
Speaking of loud music, Status Quo, Smokie and The Refreshments played in a park very near to our apartment. They'd started by the time I got home and kept playing until sometime after midnight. If we could hear the music clear at ours, then I don't dare imagine just how loud it was in front of that stage O.o
Taken from Becky:
1. Reply to this post if you want me to tell you how cool you are!
2. Watch my journal over the next few days for a post just about you and why you rock.
3. Post these instructions in your journal and give your friends a much needed dose of love and adoration!
