This is Dave Gahan. He's a member of Depeche Mode, but has a solo career too.

*lol* Also a way to start a post, I suppose. Haha.

Yesterday was wonderful, just like I thought/hoped it would be *beams* Hehe, I'm so giddy typing this *spins in chair* I'll try to keep it down to a minimum, so not to scare you :p

The morning started off great, though I was a bit worried it would rain. But the sun pierced through the clouds and made the bus ride very pleasant. Apart from my cd-player running out of batteries less than halfway and having to run to catch the connecting bus *lol*
I had some time to kill when I arrived, since my sister had gotten some hours as a sub of all things. There were plenty of shops that were suitable for browsing, so that solved itself.

I looked at some stickers (which made me think of Sara) with butterfly people on them. They were the only stickers that came off as somewhat original, though there were some pretty ladybug ones *smiles* In that part of the shop was also all the stationary stuff, books and so on. For a moment I toyed with the idea [I've had for years] of having some kind of guestbook, or friends book, sent around to various people to sign and scribble in. Hehe.

My next stop was the cd store that was closing down and had a sale. Massive Attack popped into my head and sure enough, they had a copy of Mezzanine. As I waited for the guy to find the cd, my eyes landed on a wall with a couple of postcard sized images. Mr Dave Gahan posed on one of them (it was the same one I posted at the top). I immediately thought that if everything had to go, surely that included those postcards ? Mimmi is not usually a cheeky person, but yesterday was an exception :p

So I left with Mezzanine and Dave Gahan >:D

The only thing I didn't pick up, that I sort of wanted to, was this huge teddy bear in a toy shop. It has never occurred to me how expensive those things are. I mean, sure, they're given away as #1 prizes at those lottery/knock things down- booths, but is it really fair to cash in on peoples want to cuddle such a cuddable thing in the privacy of their own homes and not in the toy store ?..... moving along.

Time had come to bowl. My sister finally got off work and we made it to the bowling alley. It was still a few minutes away from when our lane would be accessible though, so we sat down at a table and chatted away. Almost simultaneously we noted that they had an Air Hockey table tucked away in a quiet corner and it was decided that it should be thrashed after our demolition of the lane ~_^

And you'll never guess what we called ourselves *grins* It was my sister who came up with it and I thought it was brilliant ! I thought we'd just sign up with our names and that would be it, but she reminded me that we used to put really silly ones down. Of course, my brain was empty, so I left it up to her. Are you ready ?

Fritz (sister) and Pommez (me) ^_____^

That might not sound very funny to you all, but what if I tell you that French Fries is called "Pommes Frites" (pronounced fritz) in Swedish ? *giggles* Yesh, it all went to Giggle & Lol Town after that ;p

There were of course the mandatory jokes about 'balls'. Like when the kids on the lane next to us were trying to steal ours: "Hey, keep your hands off my balls !". Or the reference to FF X: "Wakka - Weapon = Balls". And what about "I've got my balls, do you have yours ?" as it was time to put them back *LOL* Ah, so many to mention. Hehehehehe.

We both got a few [and embarrassing] gutter balls, which were blamed on a disturbance in the force/atmosphere *cough*. There was enough strikes to save face, 8 strikes for me *celebrates* ! And plenty of laughs and high fives, naturally. It made me wonder how I could ever have forgotten how much fun bowling is. We played 3 series, but I could've easily gone on for much longer ^_^;;;

There will definitely be more scheduled days of mayhem in the bowling alley !!!

Playing Air Hockey after that was devastatingly fun, mostly because of all the hyperness (which bore a strong resemblance to times when Bubble Bobble has been in play). I laughed until I cried and I think my sister had a good time too _^_
It was nice to treat her and have a relaxed and fun day. Yes, I paid for everything.... feel free to adore me some more :p

Then it was time for me to catch my bus home, so we hugged our goodbyes and decided that we had to do this again sooooon *grins*
All the while home, I sat next to a sunsoaked window and played through Mezzanine, relishing in the wonderful day I had *happy sighs*

And now that it is time to end this post, I leave you with a warning that if I ever meet you, there should be bowling of some sorts going on and what might've been the highlight quote on Wednesday 12th of May:

"I think I just pulled my ass O.o" - Me
