"It's time..." [ Part II of unnamed story, Copyright Mimmi 2004 ]
- TOM !
Flinching at the sudden call echoing harshly in the air, he flew to his feet and froze. It was obvious that he was disturbed, tensing his ears to all sounds, trying to determine their source.
- TOM !
Spinning around, he ran in the direction where the voice came from. Bewildered eyes, stunned by the order just given, frowned and quickly scanned the area before jetting after the young man. This place had been empty when they got here, surely ? It was getting late and soon it would be pitch black, making the graveyard even more unsafe to move about in.
It didn't take long to catch up to him, since he had only cut around the corner at the end of the gravestone line and now stood still with his arms at his sides, panting heavy. In front of him was the cemetery shed. The door hadn't been closed properly and was tossed back and forth by the heavy winds, pounding melodiously.
"TOM ! … TOM !"
Mumbling quietly to himself, Tom wiped his brow with the back of the hand, trying to calm his breathing down. When he looked at the dirt covered hand, there were streaks of blood smeared over it. The figure stepped forward abruptly and spoke up.
- Sir, I must advise you to be careful. You …
- Silence !!
He growled and turned, giving the figure behind him a menacing glare. Low rumbles could still be heard, but the rain seemed to subside. Darkness had begun to settle and the wind was calming down. In an attempt to restrain himself, the young man took a hold of the door and closed it shut, resting his head briefly on the cool wood. Cocking his head slightly he saw several shadows take form and come into view. They halted at a respectful distance, bowing courteously.
Closing his eyes and sighing, he stepped away from the door and nodded.
- It's time...
You know I can't resist your coaxing pleas ;p I think this can be made into a 'story'. There are a few ideas that I want to incorporate into the next instalment, but I have no clear ideas as to where it might lead up to. I've got a vague notion about where/ how it started... and that's it, hehe. Hopefully you'll enjoy it ^_^
Well, I was supposed to go bowling with the family on Monday. It turns out the alley is closed that day and my younger sister is sort of tied up this weekend (and the other one is visiting friends), so it'll have to wait until maybe next weekend. That bummed me out a little (read 'a lot').
Apparently my parents felt sorry for me, because I've been looking forward to spending more time with everyone, so they bought me "Return of the King" :D Heh, I really didn't expect to get that, or anything for that matter, but they evidently thought I deserved it *sniffles and grins*
I've always been appreciative of my family, but now that I've gotten older and heard of others who have a lot of drama with their parents/sibling, that appreciation really grow stronger. They take good care of me, and I of them. *nod*
Now I'll pop in "Benny and Joon" in my DVD player ^_^
Take Care Everyone !
*huggles*
