Wintery Birthday
I had absolutely no idea birthdays were supposed to be this absolutely horrible! For one thing, it snowed. I asked the weather politely for it not to snow, and it did. Next time I plan to have a fit about it. Secondly, I thought the day of your birthday was supposed to be good, not the day before it. I got more "Happy Birthday"'s yesterday than I did today. It was relatively pathetic to say the least. I even actually wanted to go to school! I like the classes I had today but the crazy Board of Education we have here decided the roads were safe enough for us NOT to go to school... I swear, they send us to school when the roads are terrible and the moment they are perfectly fine, they say "Oh my! You can't go to school in THIS kind of weather." Crazy. The only good part of my birthday was when my mom took me and my sisters out to lunch (Which was originally supposed to be dinner, but that got screwed up too.) Before that it was craptastic because I was asked to go to lunch by one of my friends, but dad said it was too dangerous to go with my friend whos only been driving for half a year. Of course when I told her I couldn't go, only then did I find out ALL of my friends were meeting to have lunch together... some birthday. Turns out the rest of them didn't even call to get a happy birthday. Go figure, huh? Now that I've finished wallowing in the pity of my 17th birthday, I can't wait to see how much of a wonderful post-birthday I will have tomorrow. I can't possibly wait.
