Brain...Melting...

Yeah, I got my FruBa and my Chobits. I've gotten to episode 16 on FruBa and like episode 5 or 6 on Chobits. I think my brain is melting from watching so much TV. I am LOVING Fruits Basket! It's such a great show! I've almost cried a bunch of times and I'm now a Kyo fan. ^.^

Other than frying my brain, I will also be frying my eyeballs because I just bought a laptop!! I just got a Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook. It'll be shipped at the latest by the 23rd of this month. I can't wait! My own computer! I guess my sucky job pays off, no? *giggles in delight*

That's about it for me, take care now! Be safe.

I hope that someday I can be strong enough that my bad memories won't be so bad.

   Muy Excited!!

Oh. My. Goodness. I have JUST bought the entire Fruits Basket and Chobits DVD series off of ebay!! *major freak out* I can't WAIT to see them! I've read the entire Chobits series, but I'm anxious to see if the anime is as good as the manga! AND I keep hearing great things about FruBa, so I'm excited that I'll be able to know who these characters are when people talk about them!! =^.^=

Yeah.

I'm excited about school starting in the fall. My school starts on Sep. 1. When does your school start? (If you still go to school.)

That's about it. See you next time.

WHOO NELLY it's been a while since I've posted. *shrugs* There just hasn't been much to write about. However, I just went to see War of the Worlds today. OH. My. Goodness. This movie is CREEPY!! When I left the theater, my legs were shaking! It has a happy ending, but it's just SCARY AS HELL!! (excuse my french) *shudders*

OH, and I got my school schedule today. I am VERY DISSAPPOINTED that I didn't get any art classes! My schedule is too full! I could have taken Sculpture, but I'm not much of a sculptor. SO, I then decided to take Study Hall (for my Finnish friends, that means that you just sit in school and study for an hour.) since I have 2 AP (advanced placement, meaning I can get college credit for it), chemistry, physics, Government and Economics, Theology, AND Pre-calculus. *phew* SO, this means that I have a TOUGH schedule next year. *gloom and doom* *sigh*

that's about it for me. Sayonara.

Robbie: Are they terrorists?
Ray:*freak out mode* I don't think they're terrorists.
Robbie: Where are they from?
Ray: Somewhere else.
Robbie: Europe??
Ray: THEY DIDN'T COME FROM EUROPE!

Playing with coding. I apologize if it looks weird..

I wonder if this table works...If not, I apologize..

Anywho, it's been a while since I've posted. It's just that during the summer, nothing really interesting happens and I don't have much to rant about. Today, I'll cook up a rant for you guys.

You see, my mom went in for a mammogram 6 months ago. They thought they may have found something, so they told her to come back 6 months later. A few weeks ago, my mom went for another mammogram and they said that they think it's a calcium deposit. They told her to come back in another 6 months. After the mammogram a few weeks ago, my mom seemed troubled. It DOES run in my family. I think she may be scared because one of her close friends died of breast cancer a few months ago. I don't like that the doctors think that it's a calcium deposit. They should know. They should have taken a biopsy (a test sample) of it to be sure. But no, they said, "come back in 6 months." *sigh* At least the "thing" hasn't grown at all, so that's good...I guess. I feel kind of betrayed because she didn't tell me until she casually mentioned it while I was waiting for a doctor's appointment. She may have thought that it was better that I didn't know so I wouldn't worry. I'm almost 18 (well...in April I will be...), and I can handle it. Yes, I'm scared for my mother's health, but I can deal with it. Well, sometimes when I see a commercial for a local breast cancer treatment center (it has this song that says "I've got a reason to live"), I get teary-eyed, but it's ok. Let's just hope that the mammogram in January shows that it isn't breast cancer.

Take Care everyone, and be safe.

In loving memory...

You might be wondering about my subject line... Well... We're putting our dog to sleep tomorrow at 4 pm. I know what you may be thinking. So What? It was just a dog. Since I don't have any siblings or family around me (other than my parents), our pets are my family. The dog in question, Iiro ("Ee-row"), turned 14 ½ today, so he's pretty old. He was, no IS our first Giant, EVER! He was a goofball. If you slapped him with a 2x4 (not that we would!) he wouldn't care. When his sight began to go, he kept running into our big willow tree in our backyard. (he ran into it even when he WASN'T blind! lol) He even got a TICK in his BUTT because he liked to go potty at the base of trees. When I left for Finland, he was a wee bit skinny, but still eating well, even though his sight was beginning to go and he was deaf. When I came back...whoah nelly. He was QUITE LITERALLY skin. and. bones. It just broke my heart to see him. He also has this really gross welt on his back that sometimes gets maggots in it *shudder*. My mom thinks it's just a popped cyst, but it's really gross looking though.

Since I'm building the website for our kennel, I'm putting memorial pages up for our dogs, and I'm making a memorial page for Iiro. And he's not even dead yet. It's really heartbreaking when you start to mourn something you love when they're not even dead.

As of 4 pm tomorrow, he won't be suffering anymore. The vet is coming to our house and... well. You know.

NOW I've learned that another one of our dogs is having (sort-of like) seisures. The last dog who had seizures like that was this dog's father and it was because of a brain tumor. Last year (2002-2003) we lost 3 dogs, 2 of which to cancer. It's been a year and half since we've lost one (tomorrow we'll lose another one), but I don't want to go through that again.

Sorry for the pointless-ness of this post. It's just kind of tough for me. Yeah.

Does anybody know of some good colored pencil tutorials? I know how to use them, but I'm curious to try out different techniques. Help apprecaited. (I just bought a new set of Prismacolor Pencils and I wanna try them out! ^_~)

Rod: Did you shoplift the pooty?
Jerry: I did NOT shoplift the pooty.
Rod: *raises eyebrows*
Jerry: OK! I DID shoplift the pooty!

Quote from Jerry Maguire. Good movie.

Sorry for lack of posts, just nothing really interesting going on right now and I don't have any interesting rants right now. (Major run-on sentence)

This summer may have a lacking of posts, but I'll try to come up with interesting stuff soon. (*cough* like getting my lazy butt in gear and start scanning a HUGE pile of art... *cough*)

Try to take care, and I hope to talk with you all soon.

Web Comics

Yes, Web comics. I've been thinking about them a lot. I tend to take the best bits and pieces of them and apply it to my own work. Then I got to thinking, what is it that I like about said comics? I then realized that with some, it's the beautifully drawn/colored artwork, the beautiful scenery, a good storyline, lovable characters, etc.

It also seems that anybody who can draw a stick figure can put up a webcomic these days. Usually, these badly drawn comics gain few readers. Also over the years, my views of the artist's drawing level also draws me to a comic. The first webcomic I started reading had great artwork...at first. Later on, I realized that the artist isn't drawing her comics as well as she could, (Her bishies are GREAT! *drool*) and the storyline lacked substance, so I stopped reading it.

Some people may be asking, how does one get into webcomics? I found my first one off of the Anime Turnpike, and it just grew from there. If you already read webcomics and you would like to start another one (I have probably about 10 that I follow) go to their links page. You can find some pretty nifty ones there.

If you would like to check out some of my favorite comics, here's a list for you.

Megatokyo
9th Elsewhere
A Powerpuff girls Doujinshi(I don't usually read doujinshi's, but this one's good!)
