   Hóla!

HI!!! Ya know what? I'm actually happy. I haven't been truly happy in the longest time! I don't even know why I'm happy! Maybe one of the reasons, is that I ACTUALLY slept 'till noon! The kids never let me sleep until noon! (They're always playing loudly, but today they went out..) It was nice. (I usually wake up around 10:30 on the weekends...too early) I hope the rest of my day is just as nice... Alas, I have finals again. I've taken my psychology final and my history final. They went ok, although I'm absolutely certain I failed my history final. That's ok. There's always a re-take, and my grades don't count, however, I can't fail...yeah...I still have my German final to go and that's it. Ya know what that means?? 2. DAYS. OFF. Yes, Tues. and Wed. I have off. I'm supposed to have a violin lesson on Tuesday, but I'm going to call him on Mon. to tell him that I can't come because I have a hard final to study for. *devil horns spring up* heh heh. I THEN have on Wed. a rehearsal for "Penkkari Päivä" (see previous posts for that..), but I doubt I'm going. heh heh. Heh heh, that's about it for me.    Alas, a good-ol'-fashioned post!

Hey! How are you? Well, I hope. Coming up on Feb. 17th, My class (second graders) will be the oldest teenagers in our school. Why's that? Well, the third graders (seniors, if you will)will be leaving school. Now why's that? Since college entrance exams are extremely hard, one "must" study during the break that's given to them. (Hardly anyone does though. My own Mom said she studied for 10 minutes before the test...well then again, she's probably a genius...) So on the 17th, we have to wear, "kansallispuvuja," national dress and we have to sing the song of our town, Pori to them. I, personally, think it's corny, but *shrug* The other stinky thing is that I don't have a national dress, so I most likely have to rent one. *grr* T_T; I also can't believe that it's the end of January already! Before, we (meaning my parents and I) were planning for Christmas, and now we're planning for summer already! I'm also about to head into my third set of finals (not fun...) but that means that "jakso" (semester) 4 out of 5 is starting! It'll be no time until I come home! =^.^= Speaking of summer, I may have mentioned that I applied for a Finnish-German foreign exchange for 4 weeks this summer.....*sudden pause for supense* I got accepted! HOWEVER, it comes with some problems. I have to be in the States, at the latest, by July 7th (I won't say why over the internet..), and the states of Germany I may be going to, Bayern or Baden-württenburg, school goes all the way to the end of July. I may have to either: 1.) Leave Germany earlier to go back to Finland to pack my things and leave or 2.) Leave school here in Finland a little earlier to go to Germany, thus, being able to leave earlier from Germany. I talked to my dad, and he said that I'd probably have to be in Finland by the first weekend in July. Crazy stuff man. @.@' I won't even go into what problems await me back in the states! *faint* Ok, this turned out to be pretty long, I will post some more things (such as my problems that await me in the US) later. Just a note...I watched the first episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion yesterday and I liked it! The bad thing is that it's on at 11 o'clock at night, and I don't have my own tv, AND I have to go to school at 8 the next morning! >< Yes, I'm a converted Evangelion fan. *points at new quiz result* ~Minako

Um...hello

Yeah, I haven't been here in a while, eh? I've just been enjoying my Christmas Vacation (politically correct, Winter Vacation). I have off this week too so now I'm in Helsinki and I'm going to do a wee bit of shopping, and then this afternoon I'm going to Jyväskylä because my Grandma's 60th birthday party is on Saturday. (Just think, she's NOW turning 60, but that's because she had my dad when she was 17) AND this Saturday is also my cousin/goddaughter's first birthday! She's such a cutie! And she's learning to walk too! I'm so proud of her! *glee* This Aasian Tsunami catastrophy is just horrible. The news said that tourists from 52 countries were in the area when the tsunami hit. Roughly about a hundred Finns are still missing, and it is doubtful that they will be found. Thousands of Swedes are missing too. It's just horrible to think of all that were lost. I sort of knew someone that died there. My uncle's godparent's daughter and her three children died there, her husband was the only one that survived. (I've never met them) I can't even imagine about the children that went there with their parents and came back without them. (The news said that 21 Finnish kids were orphaned.) I can't even imagine being there and losing someone dear to me. Ok, that's enough of my rants...I'll write more about my vacation soon! Take Care, ~Minako ^_^

Super-Duper Quickie Post! *action stance*

*nervous laugh* I haven't been around much, eh? I check myO often, just am lazy to post.... I'll probably do an in-depth news post when my Christmas Vacation starts....or to be Politically correct, Winter Vacation. My first full day off is the 23 (aka next Thursday) which just so happens to be when my dad comes here to Finland. *glee* Maybe I'll even post on the 22nd in the afternoon, Finland time, that would be about in the morning in the States...I don't know about anywhere else... Errr...

Umm...yeah. *blink* I have nothing of any importance to say, but I thought I'd post anyway... Our school had a "dance" on Friday evening. Although, it is like no other dance that I've been to. (All you Americans will be shocked!) We actually waltzed, and tangoed (spelling?) and did folk dances. O.O It was fun though! The guy I was (sort of forced to) dance with was soo tall! My face was at his tie, so yeah, I didn't really know where to look...^_^; But it was fun though...and as usual, it reminded me of why I don't like dances. Noone ever asks me to dance. (What made it worse, my friend who was sitting next to me had all these guys ask her to dance. T_T) Yeah. Enough of that. I haven't been drawing lately, and I feel the need to. My whole angst story (with my OC's Wren and Jamie) is pretty much gone. I've noticed that I was going through a rough time when I was drawing all the angst. (Not that I still don't like it! ^_~) But now, I'm doing a story more fantasy-like. The lead character looks similar to Wren (as was intended.) but I changed her name to Adrianna, but she likes to be called Adrian (I like the name Adrian!). There's a guy with a cloak, but the thing is, he never takes it off. (Which can lead to some hilarity...) I'll post pics of that when I get to a scanner. I have to get to one soon because I've drawn a piece for a contest at www.strawberrrycomics.com. You had to draw two characters from one of two web-comics in black-and-white or color. I chose my preference, black-and-white. I'll post my contest piece if I'm allowed to. (I'm going to ask first before I do, to be on the safe side.) You see? Nothing important!
