First off, I will heed you a warning that this post will be short and choppy. The reasons are posted in the first paragraph after this one to save time.

I'm tired. I haven't been sleeping well for a week, and my hands shake all day. (Unless I've just eaten something.) I'm going to call my doctor at lunch. It's also pretty late (10:08 pm, 2:08pm CST) and I have school tomorrow.

I will explain tomorrow:
*Art is very neato.
*My Chemistry/Physics teacher is cool.
*That girl from church has actually talked to me.
*Other people OTHER than that girl have talked to me.
*My "art mishap."
*My "important phone call."

Never fear my dears, all will be explained tomorrow or the next day. Just some food for thought.

...Had a Bad Day again...

Quote from the R.E.M. song, "Bad Day."

Take care my dahlinks.

Phew! The first few days are over! *someone whispers in Minako's ear* My informants have informed me that I have the rest of the school year to go.

Fun Stuff.

I still don't have any friends as of yet, but I've been told that Pori people (I live in Pori) are shy, so it could take a while for them to be brave enough to talk to me. *shrugs* No hurry. I have more important things to worry about...like Chemistry. I was in class and when my teacher started to talk, I was completely lost. He reviewed what I learned last year, there are two problems with that: 1.)I don't remember most of the things from last year ^_^; and 2.) The language. I know all the words in English but I just so happen to be in a country where they speak Finnish. T_T

I'm scheduled to see my "tutor" tomorrow. My "tutor" is actually a friend of my mom's, and she promised to help me in Math, Chemistry, and Physics. It's so nice to have some help! I'm also going to talk to the teacher to see if I can maybe come after school for some tutoring.

All of this is really funny because I've only had one Chemistry lesson all year! (On Friday morning.)

That's my rant on school...I'll probably be needing to rant about school for a while so don't be surprised to see a rant on school. Sorry if I'm boring anyone!

Now, for an example of the kindness of strangers...Well, at the end of school yesterday, we had to go to church for the "opening service." The thing is, I'm still new to this city and I didn't know where it was, all they gave me was the name of the church. Thus, I was talking to a teacher and a girl in my "ryhmä" (homeroom) heard me, and offered me to join her and her friends to the church. Of course I accepted. So, me and said girl were talking but her other two friends didn't say a word to me. Meh. I can't really say if I'm friends with this girl yet, but only time will tell. *shrugs*

So that's what's happened over the course of 2 days of school. Just wait until the first FULL week is over! *throws head back and cackles*

Heh.

Take Care now.

The evil word of the day: SCHOOL

Total # visits: 768

Almost at 1000!

Anywho, Nothing breathtakingly exciting lately. Oh yes, there's one little thing tomorrow...

School.

As of this moment, I'm only a little nervous. The main thing is that I don't know anyone at my school and I have no idea how school works. For example, in the US, they have lockers for the students to keep their things, I noticed at my school when I visited, that there are no lockers. Yes, there are coat racks for when it gets cold, but do you carry around your backpack all day? I know my schedule and that stuff, but it's how the normal day goes is what bothers me. Well, school starts at 11 am tomorrow, so I doubt I'll be needing my books. All of my family keeps telling me that tomorrow and Friday are probably just getting to know the school and stuff. Thus, we actually start the attempt at learning on Monday. I am extremely jealous of those who start school at the end of August or Early September. Curse you...*grumble* However, it doesn't feel like it starts incredibly early though. It feels like it's just the right time to start the school year. I've been lookng foward to this all summer and all of last year. I'm just hoping that I'll make some friends soon, so it will give me an excuse to be out of the house for a while! *laughs*

Enough of that rant..

I've been noticing that my posts have become quite long lately. I hope I'm not boring anyone!

I also have noticed my comments on other people's sites are very..random. I'll say one thing, then go on about another thing. Meh. I'm so weird.

Thing-a-ma-goozie

Today's quote isn't exactly a quote, persay, but it's just a cool word I saw on SamSandy's site! Thing-a-ma-goozie. *chuckles* What a cool word!

Alas, I'm back here in my "home town" of Pori for a whil-...er...I mean, the rest of the year (unless we go to Lapland for Christmas...or if I visit the states...meh).

Today was eventful (for me at least). I came back from Helsinki today at about 2:20 (14:20), then I went to my uncle's restaraunt to eat. (It's really good food, and I get it free! What's better than free food? *no answer* Exactly.) THEN I came back here to the house and also to the annoy- er I mean delightful children. At that point, I was informed that we were going to Yyteri, one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) beach in Finland (it's close to here). I then thought, "Hey, I could go sit on the beach with my book and read for a bit, not necessarily go swimming." Oh HOW I was wrong! I spent most of it swimming with my 7 year old cousin. It was actually fun! We played a few games, like tag, and who can reach the bouy first...I can honestly say I had fun. That's a first. NOW I'm a bit tired, I probably have sand in places I don't even wanna know about, and I'm happy and warm in my sweatshirt and flannel pajama pants. (I love flannel! *melt*) Life is good for the moment.

APUA! MY EYES ARE BURNING!

The above quote is from SamSandy, aka Sage (see my Friends dropdown box) when he saw a beige-colored Marimekko dress. What's funny is that it's in 2 languages! "APUA" is Finnish for "help" and the rest of course is English.

Take Care and may the flannel be with you.

Hello!

I didn't get access to the internet, I was at my great aunt's and great uncle's cabin...but NOW I'm back at my dad's cousin's house. I hate all this jumping around, but I'm leaving tomorrow, so I'll get (some kind) of stationary residence. (If that made any sense to you.)

Well, Sage, for those who don't know, is a member of OB and is on myO under the name of SamSandy (see my "Friends" drop-down box). He is also from Finland, so I met him yesterday. It was really fun, and everyone go to SamSandy's site and thank him for showing me and my friend around Helsinki! *bows a bajillion times* He's a really nice guy, you should definately go to his site! ^_^ *nods*

After our little "excursion" yesterday, we were all a little tired and had sore feet. My feet are even worse today because I went to the amusement park here in Helsinki, Linnanmäki. I rode a lot of rides, and even got a sick feeling on one, but all in all it was fun. My feet are throbbing, I probably have sunburn, but It's ok. It's a nice mini-vacation before school starts on Thursday.

Yes, school starts on Thursday. People keep asking me if I'm excited or scared, but right now, I'm not. Maybe because it hasn't dawned on me yet that I don't know anyone there, the school schedule is COMPLETELY different than in America, and it's in a semi-foreign country (well, it's not THAT foreign, but there are still things that I still don't know about Finland.). Probably on Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll probably start having panic attacks (not really, but basically freaking out.), so I must warn anyone in my way to WATCH OUT! Heh heh.

No quote today because 1.) I'm tired 2.) my feet are actually throbbing, and 3.) I just can't plain think of one.

Take Care my friends, and tomorrow is another day.

Hello!

I'm going to make this a quick post because I'm going to eat soon..

Yes, I'm in Helsinki now. There's one main thing that I'm looking forward to...I'm meeting Sage tomorrow! (Yes, I know you called me, Sage!) If you haven't guessed, he called me and I hate to say that I still don't have a time to meet yet. However, I got an email from my friend, "Katja," and she said she's going with the family she's staying with, to the "central shopping center in helsinki" and this "shopping center" has Iitala in it (a glass and housewares maker.). I guess what she doesn't realize is that there's LOTS of shopping centers here! Grr. She also WILL NOT call me, although I've given her my phone number AT LEAST 7 times! Yet another grr. I apologize Sage! I'll call you in the morning (it's 21:30 now...).

*some time later*

I have just been informed on the ways of the streetcars here in Helsinki, so I'm probably going to take them...I still have no idea where I'm going yet, but I'll let you in on all the details of tomorrow...Well..erm...tomorrow.

This is all very frustrating. My point is, I'm very excited about meeting Sage ("SamSandy"). *here's some Finnish for Sage* Minä en pelkää! Minä on vaan innoissaan että saan tavata sinua! *end Finnish*

Heh heh, no quote today, it's late.

Sayonara and Take Care my friends.

Alas, here I am with a post!

I have been informed by my great aunt, that I am leaving for Helsinki today, at 6 pm, I will probably arrive in Helsinki around 10 (it's roughly a 4 hour drive...). So SAGE!!! PM ME!!! *chuckles* I'm probably leaving on Sunday.

Have you ever had a feeling your friend has been hiding something from you? I've been thinking about my friend Mike and I realized that he seemed to be putting on a fake smile everyday. I've JUST realized this. I realize he's had some problems at home and with his girlfriend, but he couldn't tell me. I found out from reliable sources. I have liked him on and off during two years (trust me, it WON'T happen again), but I wish he knew that I'm his friend above anything else. Maybe I'll email him that, I don't know.

Well, that's my rant for today.

Candy: Eat him!
*insert Cyborg running around with candy biting him*
Cyborg: ALRIGHT! IF YA'LL ARE BITIN' CYBORG, CYBORG BITES BACK! *takes a handful of candy and munches* Mmm-MM! I never evil tasted so good!

The above quote was from the Teen Titans episode, "Fear Itself," where evil bits of candy are trying to eat our half-robot friend, Cyborg. Heh heh.

Take Care.

Hello!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I can't for long because I start school next week! @.@

If you're wondering how the orientation went, it was uneventful. It just talked about scheduling and I've already scheduled everything. I then talked to the guidance counselor and she told me that it was probably set and to go to the office. At the office, they lady said everything was set and gave me my "ryhmä"(group) number. She then asked for my address, my uncle's name, and my cell phone number. So, all I have to do is show up next week for school. *shrugs* Who knew?

After that, I bought my schoolbooks for the year. Enough said.

That's about it. I'm probably headed for Helsinki on Thursday and coming back on Sunday. (Sage, if you see this, please send me a pm or something, ok?)

That's pretty much it for today. I have the house to myself and I'm probably going to clean my room for a little bit and maybe put on some laundry. Meh.

Sayonara

P.S: No quote today because I can't think of a good one. Heh.
