Does this artist look like they are stealing stuff? I mean, look at their gallery. Their stuff goes from not that great to totally awesome. (particularly that Code Geass pic) I don't think that person can jump to being that good from THAT. And they're 15. I'm not saying that 15 year olds can't do really GOOD art because some can! but judging from their past art, it looks kind of fishy. |

The more and more I see those Valentine's Day commercials, and lovey-dovey hearts everywhere, the more I get depressed and lonely.
I f***ing hate this commercial holiday. |

Happy 2008 everybody!
Sorry if I haven't been commenting much lately, my mom has me on a bajillion projects this week around the house (since I have nothing better to do) and i'm also trying to squeeze in an eye doctor's appointment as well as much needed time with friends. GAH!
Today was rather weird weather wise...First, our high was 63 degrees F, which is the highest temperature for January EVER. There was also another "first" today, a Tornado. Yes, we had a TORNADO in JANUARY. What the heck is that?!?! We also got a tornado warning TWICE, and of course the second one came as soon as I got all the dogs (just for a point of reference, we have three giant schnauzers, one being heavily pregnant, and four miniature schnauzers) situated upstairs again. geez. Yes, I freaked out a little bit, and no, nobody I know got hurt/had damage to their homes. However, there are at least 12 homes destroyed or have major damage to them, and that number is likely to rise in the coming days. There are also a few injuries, but no serious ones as of yet.
On a lighter note, I'm looking for a new anime to watch. Any suggestions? Anime that I've liked are: Ouran High School Host Club, Code Geass, Black Cat, Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle (not the second season yet, but I am reading the manga), Inuyasha, Trigun, Chobits, Fruits Basket, Eureka 7 (going to download soon so that I can watch it all the way through, and not when I randomly catch it on tv!), and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
I've recently found (but yet have watched) Negima and Shakugan no Shana. I don't know what they're about, but seeing a few videos on YouTube make them seem like they'd be something I'd be interested in. So, I'm asking you guys if you can suggest anything. My torrent downloader isn't working, but I think it's just because I just got Windows Vista and it sucks (that or the torrents I've been trying to download just don't have any peers/seeders).
Sorry for the long post, but there was a lot to write about! :) |

I just want to send a huge thank you to the people who commented on my last post. I know I was really vague about stuff, but the past few months have been really rough for me. I really appreciate the love you guys showed me, and it means SO much.
Looking back on this year, it's been a crazy ride. I almost flunked out of university (but I'm ok now that I switched my major!), I lost my best friend, made some new discoveries about myself, I decided to go to China this spring, and I have made some lovely lovely friends here, and in person. It's been a crazy roller coaster ride, but I feel like I've become a better person because of it.
I want to wish each and every one of you (no matter who you are) a very happy and healthy new year and many more to come. :) |

Tired. So Very Tired.
Me + late at night = emotional wreck.
Rough semester....rough semester...particularly rough month. That's about all I'll say online.
BTW, the Regina Spektor CD is quite awesome.
Sorry for the randomness and vagueness. |

Minako has officially been deaded by finals. She is going crazy and does not want to study the entire history of China for her exam on Saturday.
But then she'll be done, so she's looking forward to that very much.

Very Angry.
I officially hate voice recorders that only play .voc files that my computer can't play except with the program that comes with it, that doesn't tell you that it can play the files.
I want to punt my voice recorder, but I'd be wasting the $40 I spent on it, OH! and another $25 on a program to convert the file that I no longer need. Great.
Why did I need this file? I have a journalism paper that I'm supposed to be sending a draft of to my professor tonight. TONIGHT. grr. |

I'm so tired. I've woken up at 4:30 or 5 am on a weekend and worked at a dog show (which is something that my mom does) until about 2:40pm. then I had to stick around and go to dinner with the judges and we got back at 9pm last night, and I got back to my dorm at 5:30pm today.
At least I got paid...and a $25 gift certificate to Wal*mart. |
