For a start, I'm MINASUKI, the name was derived from the japanese word 'Minatsuki' or 'Minazuki', which stands for 'the sixth month of the lunar calendar'... i think that's JUNE ^^ (is it? xD) Well, there are several versions for the name, though.. i would usually say that my name means 'i love everyone' because 'mina' stands for 'everybody or everyone' while 'suki' stands for 'like or love'. After making the project assigned to me, I'll be back to finish the rest of the drafts I came up for my manga, [CoS]. But I'm still planning to finish the fan art I made about a CLAYMORE character, "Phantom" Miria. During a brief period of my "spare time", I was reading a lot of recent manga chapters, including BLEACH, CLAYMORE, Fairy Tail, Sekirei, and one of the latest title that got me hooked, Bamboo Blade (just in time! i just read that it's gonna be an anime soon! prolly this october! ^^) And as I expect, my manga is mediocre quality compared to those excellent works! =~= waahhhh But still, i managed to study how they made the digital effects so at least i've learned something other than the fact I found my works still needing... more work! =3= anyhows, i'll just keep on updating my current manga here. I'm rarely online visiting my devart and theO nowadays... darn work =_= The pages with the texts will be uploaded soon. I still have to organize the pages after getting at least TEN pages done... so, i'm sorry if it'll take a lot of time. This is to prevent any further revisions of finalized output (learned my lesson from my old project, Twilight Dawn --- it's in my portfolio ...) The sequence of events and some concepts in [CoS] have been revised. Although minor, these are also one of the reasons why I haven't drawn more than 10 to fifteen pages so far. Oh, and that reminds me to make a decent Chapter Cover for Chapter Two... hopefully colored ^^ enweiz, i still have to finish the fan art! (i RARELY do fanarts... only a total 3 fan arts so far. I'm sorry if I haven't uploaded Page 1 and 2 of my manga yet. I just got the scanner back but i still don't have the time to work on them yet. And i'm having trouble with the right side of my body recently. My right eye is losing focus and i need a higher grade lens. My right hand is sore again... plus my right leg isn't feeling any good. This really pisses me off! aaaarrrgh! It makes me just wanna sleep all day and spend my life as a hikikomori! --- hmmm, my sister was right all along... this lifestyle does suit me ~_~ oh well... But despite all that, I managed to come up with new ideas! xD When i find time, I'll post the new results of the recently found Art Style i learned after mixing my own ArtStyle and another ArtStyle from one of my favorite well-known mangakas ^^ I also came up with another output format aside from a manga output... but this one is more tiring and needs a lot of work. This recently thought of output is kinda similar to the eroge or visual novel/bishoujo game format. But im not implying that there would be some *cough* *cough* scenes or anything like that! O_O surely this one is just a plan. But my manga will continue... uhh, maybe within this week ^^ anyways... *yawn* i have to get some shuteye now. I still have work in the early morning (12-8am --- yes, i mean that EARLY! xD). ----------------------------- *update* well, i managed to once again heal myself and i'm feeling okiedokie now. However, due to this damn work and school stuffs, i'm mentally exhausted and i'm suffering from the so-called artist's block. I can't even seem to finish this recent page i've drawn for [CoS]... okay, here's a sample (finally started on this after 2-3 weeks =,=)  ^ needs some work to do. And i'm still working on it using Manga Studio for the effects and stuffs and Corel PhotoPaint for the finishing touches, resolution fixes and export fixes. The new artsyle sketches and stuffs haven't been scanned yet due to malfunction of the scanner. It's fixed now, but i still have no time for much updates. Well, gtg for now... So, laters all!  [UPDATED]  Just finished a practice session using Manga Studio. Sadly, I'm not satisfied with the result neither with my skills. This will be re-edited again after i master using it and also when my injured right arm is healed. Yes, i know... i've become so sloppy.. x_x ..and I revised the [CoS] concepts and plots. Even the major concepts and character profiles has been revised... as suggested by my sister, my partner in our two-person studio. Hopefully, in a few months, I'll be able to finish One to Three Chapters before the end of the Year. -------------------------------------------------- I'm back to to my internship for my course this semester. And i must say, it feels like de ja vu. I have the same teacher in the same subject i flunked the last year at the same semester (i have to retake this darn subject otherwise i can't proceed to my senior year T__T).. *sigh* but despite all that, i met new interesting faces.. and some old ones as well. And since im very busy lately, i can't find any sufficient time to practice making my manga. I injured my right arm again.. and although im ambidextrous enough to draw with my left hand, that left hand still isn't that disciplined and i can't do any decent inking jobs with it. Hmmm... i managed to download Manga Studio just recently. It's kinda hard compared to Corel (I'm comfortable with Corel) and it's more like Photoshop cs3. Well, as expected, it's as great as they say it is. But i'm still practicing on using it. So, with this, I hope [CoS] would hopefully look cool! ^^ If you're interested, you can find the screenie of me using Manga Studio at my deviantart account (Minasuki.deviantart.com) I'm working on the cover page right now. But I need to get me some brushes or some computones to add some effects to it. I'm not satisfied to make it mediocre so I'm gonna try my best to get it perfect! ^__^ (yes, im motivated again! ^^)  Scanned version and the final version of the recent art i was working on. School finally started here just recently. So I'm back to being busy again. I've met new faces and familiar faces and still going to tackle the same subject (that i failed last year) and the same teacher! (ahhh... "welcome back" --- words i won't forget this semester) I'll be spending more time studying and doing practical works so less computer time for me. But fortunately, i'm not banned from using the pc so i guess i still have the time to scan and upload some works. But (sigh) my work on [CoS] will have to be postponed (yet again)! But to speed things up, I've requested a good friend of mine (and mentor) to lend me a copy of a manga art generator. It's an application program like Photoshop but focuses more on manga art. I've searched every torrent site i know but i still can't find it on my own! (hmm.. how the heck did he find it?! ~_~) anyways, i'm still practicing drawing using my recently-healed right arm. My left arm still draws like an eight-year old, but im amazed on how fast it's improving. I can't believe i'm ambidextrous! Nyahaha xD Scanned version and the final version of the recent art i was working on. I know.. my works has gotten quite sloppy lately. i dunno if this is kinda appealing (coz it's mostly pink and all ~_~) but anyways... here it is... (you may want to cover your eyes to avoid looking at too much pinkness) voila! i know i know... im still an amateur when it comes to colors. I've started to draw again with my right hand (although i've quite got the hang of using my left hand ^^) anyways... i've been "inspired" to draw again thanks to a particular girl with glasses (yes, i have a fetish with glasses xD). So recently, i've become busy making new line arts or sketches which i'll practice on photoshop (i can't let her beat me now can i? =P) but im still kinda disappointed i wasnt able to join the contest i mentioned last month T_T oh well... there are still more opportunities to come. ----------------------------- i've been working on new character designs for some characters on my [CoS] project. I have to redo Cheshire's design again (well just the face coz she looks like a boy). and after some few hours of editing.. i managed to color some parts. Im still making the background for this pic... and it may really take a while for it to be really really finished ~_~ (uhhhmm just don't mind what she's carrying... it's random! ^^) But i dunno if the old design for Cheshire is better or not. Hmmm.. what do you think? O_o That's all my updates for now... School will resume at the second week of June so i'll be very busy by then. I need to finish my outputs quick if I want my dream to be an Animation Director (slash) Artist (slash) Producer (slash) whatever ... to become a reality! Well, it's my childhood dream... and there's nothing wrong with it, right? ^_^ Anyways, about the titles I'm working on recently: > [CoS] > Trial by Vision (renamed the other title ^^ with a name i thought of 6-8 years ago ^^) --------------------------------------- Okay some brief added info on [CoS]: > Conceptualized the Knave, Queen and King Flush (Flush-Wonder)ability to be standard to all suits. Knaves --- ability to swap a Card Summon ability with another Flush's Card Summon Queens --- ability to summon incarnates of Card Summons and this grants exemption to the rule of not using the same card summon within 60 minutes Kings --- immunity to Card Summons > Improved Cheshire Catherina's Character Design (i made her smaller but cuter ^^)... the character design will posted in my portfolio soon. Just need to refine it.. XD > New Term: ULTIMATE (invoked persona or the GLASS FORM of the ACE Flushes (eg. Madeleine Hatori's Mad Hatter Ego) > Balanced the ULTIMATES for all the ACE Flushes. Who's the strongest among them? I'll let you decide ^^ > Hybridized the CLAMP art style with my own Art style. I'm trying to break away from Shojou art style. I'm currently practicing on Shounen Art style. ------------------------------------------------- Brief Info on Trial by Vision: Setting: Another Parellel World/Universe Past-meets-Future setting Genre: Action/Supernatural Output form: Visual Novel (umm.. a novel output with some manga pages on important scenes. This way, my output could be a lot faster! hehehe ^^) Plot: A race of Gorgons (term applies to males as well) are faced with a threat of extinction as powerful kingdoms and races are slaughtering their kind just to obtain their heads. It is said that a gorgon head has the power to turn any mortal to stone just by the look at it or its eyes. Because of this, the Gorgon race are faced with a genocide that threatened their existence and the only way to save themselves is to blend in with other mortal beings and hide their gorgon form. However, they are divided because some thought that it is necessary to empower themselves to take vengeance on their enemies. But some thought that it could only increase their enemies' interest in their power and the best way to save themselves is to hide themselves among the other mortals. This conflict of ideas resulted into a civil war among the Gorgon Race. Grogons are born with hairs of snakes by the moment they are born. A scion to the true throne of the Gorgons was born with an unsual snake hair... a Hydra, which 2 heads arise after one head is cut off. A gorgon's strengths and weaknesses depend on what kind of serpent one has for a hair --- be it a python, a cobra, a boa, or even a dragon (well, they are serpents.. or so i thought ^^). The Gorgons base their bloodline according to the serpentine hair a member of their family has. Actually, a Gorgon has more than one kind of serpent for a hair. The Gorgons can trace back their ancestry or family tree even with their hair because they can inherit the serpentine hair their ancestors or parents have. But their dominant serpentine hair is the true source of their power and has power over other serpents they have as their hair. However, the Gorgon Prince has a unique serpentine hair, a hydra... the first of their kind. It has been said by an Oracle that the scourge of the Gorgon race is one of their own and thst scourge is the most powerful and the only one of their kind who is "different" among them (he has Hydras for a hair... well, along with a dragon and some other snakes). Not only can Gorgons turn their enemies to stone with a glance, but they can also attack their enemies' mind and employ some magic as well. They can also invade their enemies' subconscious (dreams and nightmare) and manipulate it --- which could even result into death. There are other Gorgon abilities but I'm not going to spoil some yet ^^ (infos to be added soon...) This is a prologue to one of my characters in Twilight Dawn/Dusk/Moon: Kryzgen Natagare  ^ yep, this is a shady character design of him. Although this one was drawn based on a concept from Twilight Dawn. Oh well.. ^^ Well, my manga style is kinda different. I rarely use japanese names for character names and I create "hybridized" names on my own. But it's not just names, but I'm trying also to blend different cultures, beliefs, customs, and some others into one... (so as to avoid bias --- in which some animes portray). And I'm more into dialogue than visual scenes... not only because I'm too lazy to draw some scenes but because I want some concepts or the plot to be vivid as possible... ----------------------------------- Posting the new character designs soon and the first chapter as well. I just started to draw again! For a start, I'm MINASUKI, the name was derived from the japanese word 'Minatsuki' or 'Minazuki', which stands for 'the sixth month of the lunar calendar'... i think that's JUNE ^^ (is it? xD) Well, there are several versions for the name, though.. i would usually say that my name means 'i love everyone' because 'mina' stands for 'everybody or everyone' while 'suki' stands for 'like or love'. But actually, I came up with this name when I was in first year highschool without even knowing the meaning! =P I'll be using the name ITSUKI for a while after being mistaken for a girl for i dunno how many times now!!! =_=" -------------- Update: Finally Updated my site after months of inactivity. after weeks of melancholic episodes that haunted my pathetic life again and again, I finally moved on and trying to start my PROJECTS finally... arrrggghhh *feeling like wanting to kill someone* anyways, I heard there's gonna be a competition and the deadline is on the 31st of May. I need to finalize the Concept and Written Output of [CoS] or another Manga Title I had in mind (just thought of it recently). Nowq all I need to do is not let myself get too hooked up with playing MMOs or other Online games. It's our Summer Vacation right now... and I have no summer classes... damn... I feel lazy to do anything... except hook myself to the PC all day long that is! ^_^ The Art Style in [CoS] will be changed to a CLAMP-like style.. but only different. I really draw to emphasize the "beauty" of the human body (note the quotation marks lol ^^)... so I avoid skinny character designs XD But the YURI in [CoS] STAYS!!! ^_^ and I plan to put in much detail as I can! (okay.. no actual *toot* but you get the picture) A little Ecchi can't do no harm, now can it? ^^ well, alrighty then... I'm off to work now! Sorry for being inactive since I don't know when!
