And so, Abby went to her first day of work...
Today was my first day of work at the State Fair as a parking ticket seller.
Honestly, the job itself was the easiest part. THE most annoying thing was getting sunburned pretty badly on my arms and cheeks, despite the fact I applied sunblock often enough to prevent it. T_T Stupid Banana Boat.
But, the second most annoying thing was when I got lost in the fair when I went to get my apron and money. I went to the wrong frickin' office! I went to administration when all I needed to do was go towards the blue gate! ARRRGH! (I know none of this makes sense to you people, just go with it.)
The other weird thing is the shifts. We have pretty much all our parking attendants starting around the same time, which is... well, not right. Then we have four ticket sellers, when really we only need three at any given time.
All this combined with the fact my leader has never worked the parking lots, let alone the fair.
So yeah, a bit of a rough day, but not the roughest I've ever had at the fair. The leader is really nice, even though she doesn't know how to quite function the lot yet. I'm gonna try and be positive about it though!
Only 11 days left after all... eheh...
