I've Got A Lovely Bunch of Coconuts, Dee-duh-la-dee-dee!
Lion King rocks.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who congratulated me on the downloads. ^_^ Makes me very happy, that it does!
In fact, I've already gotten another 161 from just two days ago. o.O Don't know how it happened, really... I'm used to getting 40 every day, but not twice as much!
Well, guess I shouldn't complain, huh? XD
Anywho, I have an interesting little story to tell. Tisn't about me, but I saw it on TV, on one of those disaster shows, you know... where people tell stories about what's happened to them, then they advise you on what to do if you find yourself in that situation.
... yeah, anyway. One of the stories was about this woman and man, who were at sea (doing something, didn't see this part of the show from the beginning). Their boat must've sprung a leak, so they had to take the life boat out and take some provisions with them.
They were at sea for a total of two weeks, with barely any fresh water or much food. o.O Can you believe it?
Technically, the woman lasted for two weeks, the man lasted a week, then drowned himself.
Well, now I'm getting ahead of myself. To continue, during that first week, the couple were constantly wet, so the protective covering on their skin was gone, and they had sores all over their body. From what I could see, they only had salt crackers to eat, and no fresh water. So, they were hungry, but more importantly, dehydrated.
The guy was so desperate for water, he snuck some sea water when the woman wasn't looking, and he just got more dehydrated that way. He started hallucinating, and then he eventually killed himself.
He apparently "couldn't take it anymore" and dove overboard. The woman tried to call him back, but too late... he dove underwater, and several minutes later the woman saw his body floating a-ways off.
The woman was smarter than to do that. She didn't kill herself, didn't lose hope. During her second week at sea, it rained, and she was able to drink some fresh water, which most likely saved her. And, of course, after so long, a boat came by that saved her.
That story really freaked me out, even though I'm not at sea at all really. It's just... scary. Think about it, being stuck at sea with no water, and barely any food. I can see why the man killed himself, but it was still stupid of him.
Anyway, the show suggested a few things, like soaking up the water in the boat with a towel and sucking on it, and if you go to sea a lot, to buy this machine that turns sea water into fresh water.
There were other stories, that would relate more to everyday life, you know... but that one struck me as especially scary and amazing.
Well, that's it for this post! XD
Ciao for now, darlings!
~ Love and Peace! v^.^
