I'm BACK!
Finally! The State Fair is over! My soul has been returned! What a blessing! Not only that, but I got payed the first half of my paycheck today. v^.^
I'm obviously very happy that my job is over with. I'm going to enjoy the time I have as a teenager who doesn't need a full-time job, and can actually do whatever they want.
The one good thing that happened during the fair was my iaido class (yes, iaido, not yaido, like I was spelling it before XP). We couldn't actually use the original place that we meant to, because the stupid owners didn't leave a key or have someone stay late for us. We had sneak in to the local All Star Fitness place. Tis a good thing we weren't caught, 'cause people there had real swords and everything, something the manager of All Star certainly wouldn't have liked.
It was very cool seeing the older students demonstrating different techniques for us. It was also cool to see them come in wearing their hakamas and tops. Some of them had iaitos (dull blades), while others had live blades (don't remember the Japanese name for it). Iaido goes back to the Feudal Era, 600 years ago; a whole sword style developed from the seiza (a sitting position thought to be very polite, since samurai couldn't strike while in this position). I've ordered my hakama, obi, and top from Sensei. With my Fair money, I can also get my iaito pretty soon. I might tell you guys more about iaido in future posts, but right now I'm pretty tired (just went to the mall).
Just a few days ago, I started watching this Korean drama on AZN called Full House. See, drama shows like that aren't usually enough to pull me in, because there's usually too much drama, but this show is also really funny! It's quite surprising to myself how much I like it. Maybe I'll try my hand at summarizing the show if enough people are interested.
But yes, anyway... I'll go around and check some sites either later tonight or tomorrow. And about that wallpaper from my last post, I've decided not to submit it to theOtaku, but if anyone wants to use it, feel free to.
I hope you guys have been doin' well these past two weeks. Ta!
God Bless |
