1 of 4
My friend and I were contemplating over the engagement thing, and have mostly decided that this would be an early *ahem* April fool's day prank, base on some evidence that does not add up. I guess we'll have to wait until April first to found out if it is or not.

When (if? O.o) it turns out to be a joke, well then, I will just say *smirk*. I hope that my friend will get decide to use their ammunition. Smirk, smirk, smirk, smirk, smirk. *Cheshire Cat Grin*

OH MY GOD ARE YOU KIDDING ME
The world has officially come to a halt. Someone I know is getting married.

I don't know what to think. It's rather strange. I mean, I guess I'll be old enough to be married in less than ten years. I can't really believe this. It's almost surreal how someone I know as a friend is getting married.

But congrats to them - it's been a long road with, finally, a happy ending.

...
I've been sick, and I stayed home from school today, friday, and thursday.

I honestly don't know how Panda, or Ken, for that matter, can stay home all day. It drives me absolutely insane. V__V I can't take it any more! Ack.

Anyway, I wanted to know, what do you all think of me? I'm very interested in what you think of me. For instance, when you think of our admin, James, in the context of OtakuBoards, you would think differently of him than say, DragonWarrior, although both are very talented and hard working.

Do you understand what I'm saying? I hope so, because I want to know, what do you think of me on Otakuboards? Annoying? Crazy? Cool? Funny? Loner? Silly? I want to know, where do I fit in, so please, let me know. If you can't describe me, equate me with another well known member. Either PM me on myotaku or on otakuboards. I am very interested in knowing what you think.

And also, where do you think I would fit in in real life? Make a guess, I want to know.

Please, do this for me. I know it doesn't sound like it, but this is basically a plea from me to you. It's very important to me that you do, and if you don't send me anything, I'm going to PM all of you and ask anyway, so you better PM me and tell me. Got it? Good. >=O

Poem
Let's see. I'm watching Mrs. Doubtfire right now. Heh.

I Babysat today (I couldn't go to the team party after the competition), and I got DSL! Isn't that great? ^__^

Today was Acadec Competition. I think I did well in Social Science and Music, but nothing else.

And we came in 4th place in Superquiz, which totally SUCKS. =(

Oh well. We'll see what went down at the awards dinner on Tuesday.

Time
Lots of stuff going on!

AcaDec States are on Saturday, and then I have to babysit afterwards. I wonder how that will go. *___*

Please wish all of us luck against our rivals: OT. (Old Tappan)

If the team gets to go to nationals, maybe we can ask Tony if he'll come to see Luminaire at Super Quiz. ^_^

Next year, as Ken knows, Nationals are at San Antonio, so next year, we WILL win!

There's the sophomore semi-formal on Friday. I don't know if I'll go, or stay home to study. I might go since I'm an alternate.

Lots of stuff is going on at OB with our new administrator. Finally, a female! Taken us long enough to get to this point. (Watch. Someone will come along and tell me Dagger is a guy. V__V) So congrats to her! ^_^

And I sent someone an important PM today, so hopefully they'll receive it and reply soon. ^^;;;

There's been HSPA testing to see if any freshman or sophomores need remedial classes (it's a waste of my time since I don't need them) to pass the HSPA as juniors. It's retarded. Really. :/

And we have an AcaDec meeting tonight. ^_^

So, I guess I'll see you guys later.

Esarhaddon
Not only to I have USAD and DemiDec packets, now I have the desirable and limited edition Ben packets! XD

This senior on the Academic Decathlon team wrote up Social Science packets for everyone. I've been reading about mess-o-potato mass (Mesopotamia). Esarhaddon (which I remember because it sounds like "Is her hat on") was a king from Assyria who reigned for 13 years and founded the 26th dynasty because 13x2=26!! XD

Next up is superquiz fact sheets, Art outline, and lit. I wonder how he's going to do it all. I certainly couldn't. But then again he is Ben the genius! lol. ^_^

Anyway, Ken also mentioned Quantum Mechanics in his myO, so I shall write about them here.

Quantum Mechanics proposes a duality of photons, electrons, etc., in the universe. It is not only a particle, but a wave as well. If you test an experiment to see if its a wave, it will behave like a wave, and the same thing for particle.

QM also proposes a randomness, and probability, or chance. It says that nothing is certain. An electron from your body could go to the sun and back in a fraction of a nanosecond without you ever knowing. Of course, this is highly, highly unlikely, but that's another part of QM.

Before QM and the duality of light was theorized, all the scientists believed God was like a watchmaker. They believed He created the universe in an orderly way, to watch over.

Einstein wasn't a deeply religious man, but religious enough that he believed in the watchmaker idea. He was so opposed to the idea of probability and chance based on QM (and ironically, he was the one who discovered photons), that he spent the last ten years of his life trying to disprove QM.

He made himself kinda look foolish, too, because he made a lot of errors in his calculations. But, because of his beliefs, he once said, "God does not play dice." Or in other words, God does not gamble/take a chance - everything is orderly.

Steven Hawking is a British astrophysicist who is still alive, and wrote a book I suggest you look at, called A Brief History of Time. It's really good and very easy to understand. He's supposedly as bright as Einstein.

But anyway, whether in response to Einstein's comment or not, Steven Hawking once said, "God not only plays dice. He sometimes throws the die where it cannot be seen."

*grin*

V-Day, or as Kevin likes to call it, "D-Day!"
My V-day was better than it has been in past years. I got a rose from Marlena and I played DDR at the singles only party! ^__^

My opthamologist is a jerk though. She almost made me cry, and I thought it was goign to ruin my day, but when I got home, I listend to t.A.T.u and that made me feel better.

She's such a jerk though. She was very frank and cold to me when I was in the eye room alone with her, but as soon as my mom comes in she's all happy and cheery. What a two-faced jerk, I tell you. *throws tomatoe at opthamologist*

But yeah. That was my day. Yeah. Too tired to remember the other stuff I wanted to say. ><;

Facts of (my) life
Well, it all started last Saturday with Academic Decathalong Regionals. Basically what happened was I got up really early in the morning (5:00), got to the high school in the town next to me where the competition was held this year, and all day, I took tests in Super Quiz (astronomy), Social Science (ancient near eastern history), Economics, Math, Art (once again, near eastern pieces from the Met. Museum of Art in NYC), Music (Classical era - Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven), and Lang and Lit (Sophoclean dramas).

For starters (I'm an alternate), they also gave a speech, wrote a timed essay, and gave an improptu speech and interview. And they compete in a live Super quiz with ten questions, and every school can see everyone else's score. We (okay, not me, but the team) friggin' won super quiz and beat our rival school! BOOYAKA!

On Tuesday was the awards dinners that lasted forever. But our school won firstplace overall in the region (like we didn't know that was coming - lol), and I won first place in music and I didn't get a certificate (most honorable mentions do), but I should have been honorable mention for econ since I got 4th place. These scores, of course, are among the alternate B division (scholastic). I'm so happy I got a medal. YAY!!! ^__^ If you want to know more about USAD, visit: www.usad.org

Great minds think... alike?

What's really scary was that Gary and I had almost the exact same week! O_O;;; You see, I spent all week working on a project for school (build a 3-D model of a building in Asia; I chose a temple in Thailand), when it was handed out months in advance, and I didn't even finish it on time due to my procrastination. Gary had a busy week too because he, as well, has no concept of planning - he didn't finish the work on his bathroom. He said most of it was done (like me) but he still had to vaccuum and clean up.

So yeah. Heh. I thought that was kinda cool because we both had similar weeks! ^^;

$100 in 10 hours

Wow. I babysat tonight, and I got $100. I feel so bad, because the kids are great. I feel like they gave me way too much, and I tried to give it back, but they wouldn't take it. =( She said for me to go shopping or something, and enjoy it. I guess, I will. (Well, I'll put some of it in the bank, and some of it for me to spend.)

V-day will go to hell

Yeah, I hate V-day. As you can tell. But it's okay this year, because after school, there's a "Singles only" party in the TNT room. I'm so thrilled about it - it'll be the only bright spot on a crappy day, so yay!!!! (If they cancel it, someone WILL die!!!!!) lol. ^_^

The other bright side was that I got V-day flowers from my daddy, today. They're so pretty and they smell great!!! I love when he sends flowers (On my B-day and V-day). *sigh* Preeetty.

Pierrot Le Fou

It's on... like... now. ...Right now. Gotta watch it. Later

Roxanne

Can you say
The whole debate over how "SpongeBob SquarePants is gay," is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of in my entire life. There was an article about it in my local paper about how it has sparked a debate between those for/against gay marriage. I wanted to post this in my myO because it contains some things I wanted to share so we can all gape at the absurdity of them. I'm not going to argue why homosexuality/gay marriage shouldn't be an issue, because not only am I tired, I could ramble on and on for hours and hours with my points and references, and well, I have homework to do. I think that all of you pretty much (God, I would hope so) understand that homosexuality is NOT bad, so let's skip right to the insane quotes in the newspaper.

This one is from Rev. Terry Fox, a Southern Baptist pastor in Wichita, Kansas: "Tolerance itself can be a very dangerous word. Tolerance gives the public schools an avenue to literally brainwash our kids that every lifestyle is OK."

WTF?!?!? Every lifestyle IS okay!!!!!!! Alright, bear with me for the second quote.

The pastor that thought up that whole SpongeBob SquarePants thing (AKA the guy with no life out in Colorado - is name is Dobson) says that Tolerance and diversity "are almost always buzzwords for homosexual advocacy. Kids should not be taught that homosexuality is just another 'lifestyle' or that it is morally equivalent to heterosexuality."

Okay, first of all, to any NORMAL person, tolerance and diversity are key words for the frickin' CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT. And second of all - is it just me, or is that not a ludicrious statement? He's basically saying that homosexuals are not as good as heterosexuals. That's as narrow-minded as saying African Americans aren't as good as Caucasians.

In my fifteen years of life, I have heard so many stupid, imbecile, dumb, retarded things it's unbelievable. Not just pertaining to this subject either, but in general, I've heard people say the dumbest things, but THIS, THIS takes the cake. Nothing I have ever heard before has been stupider and more narrow-minded than the above two quotes.

They promote that only "certain people and ways of living are okay" and "Certain people are better than others" which totally undermines the entire civil rights movement, the concept of religious tolerance, freedom and SECULARISM (which doesn't work well anyhow since most those assholes who voted for Bush based their decision on "moral values" - which we all know means b/c he's against homosexuality).

They are people living under rocks with their heads stuck in the sand, and afraid of anyone who is different from them. They need to be shot because their brains can't handle the capacity to process the fact that ITS OKAY TO BE DIFFERENT. V_V

Wow - is the world falling down?
I promise to God, unless my sister is a total computer hog tomorrow like she was on Monday and tuesday, everyone on my friend's list who has posted in the last week will get a response to their most recent post. I just haven't had any time this week. I'm sorry. =(

The other thing is, you know, when I asked people to go write something in the Nifty Fifties thread, I just didn't want it to be a flop this year. But it's not - there's lots of votes which is good.

I also didn't expect my name to come up at all. I counted it FOUR times so far!!!! (well, I only got two nominations but I was mentioned four times in total.) WAI! I'm so excited that I'm not invisible on OB! I EXIST, DAMMIT! ^_____^

*dances like a ninny* ^^;

So now that I seem to have influence with you people (who am I kidding? I dunno - just play along), GO AND VOTE FOR EVERYONE'S FAVORITE VAMPIRE: ED. You simply MUST For he is the coolest vampire of all!!!! I was going to vote him as member of the year, but obviously that didn't happen because of the structure change, but he should still be nominated because he's cool, and he's a vampire, too. 8)

Most posting tomorrow, for it will be Friday (I'm almost positive time slowed down this week - it was so long!)
