GreenBird
Love the font? ^_~

I am finally proud to present the one and only sheet music transcription for the Cowboy Bebop song "GreenBird" from the episode Ballad of Fallen Angels. You can find it at: http://www.freewebs.com/roxanne

I will respond to everybody's posts tomorrow.

Drowning in Despair
Why isn't anyone posting in the OB Awards Thread? Is that because it actually has, *gasp* some... writing and, and... *double gasp* a little bit more effort in thought?!?

I did post in it - it's on page one. EVERYBODY ELSE MUST NOW POST IN IT, OKIE?!? Good. Now go, young master, and POST.

Poverty - what the hell am I doing? I certainly don't know - you tell me!
First the ironicism. In the old "American Foreign Policy" I heard nothing to convince me that America needs to give more money to the world. Yet, my father says one teeny thing, and I've almost done a 180 (I think I'm at like a 170). Did you know that wealthier nations are supposed to contribute .7% of their annual GDP (gross domestic product for you econ-vocabularically challenged) to 3rd world nations. America gives only .5%, and I just read, about two seconds ago, that Germany only gives about .3%. I'm sure the UK, France, and Japan are all offenders. Sweden and Norway, however, give over the amount they're supposed to. I'm not making any point just yet - just giving the facts.

So all this nonsense about poverty leads me to what the hell I'm going to speak about for my Academic Decathlon speech.

I know that most of the world is impoverished (that's why we call them 3rd world countries). But I wanted to know why they are the way the are.

The problem is, I can't seem to find anything when I search for it on the internet, and how do I address poverty on a global level in less than three weeks? That's called insanity. Should I focus on the poverty of one nation, a group of nations (Africa, latin america, SE Asia), or what? I'm leaning heavily towards South East Asia - countries victim to the Tsunami, especially Indonesia/Thailand, but I want YOUR input (seriously, I do).

Or are you all just going to sit here like rocks in the field, staring at my blog? Thanks, that's really helpful! ^_^ [/sarcasm] -___-;

I'm so busy this week!
*screams* I lost my entire post for no reason. AOL is a fucking piece o’ crap. I’m only going to type up the bottom half again. I’ll save the top for another time when I can discuss it more.

Anyway, as I was saying BEFORE AOL totally decided to be a dumbfuck, I have so much homework this week! I this it’s because this is the last week before the end of the marking period, but that doesn’t change the fact that I have a lot of stuff.

I had to type up all the notes I’ve written for Spanish so far, and they were due today (I could have done them over the Christmas vacation, but honestly, what procrastinator would do a silly thing like that?). I stayed up until TWO O’CLOCK AM... TODAY, finishing them. Well, I finished them at 12:00, and then I spent two hours doing the rest of my homework, only to wake up at 6:45 wired like a hyper-nutcase. And then today in class she decides that “It’s okay if you hand them in tomorrow of Wednesday! I won’t take any points off and you don’t get extra credit for bringing them in today!” -___________-

I didn’t even attempt the writing that counts as a half-essay for English, last night (this morning) at 2:00, so I used my Academic Late Pass, only to find out that I could have done the essay because THE NOTES WEREN’T DUE TODAY!!!! I wasted a perfectly good Late Pass on a half essay because my teacher decided to CHANGE THE DATE THE NOTES WERE DUE!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!! *screams*

I’m trying to console myself that more time for the essay will make it better, which will boost by English grade up to an “A”, but it just isn’t cutting it at the moment.

Most of my grades are Bs, and my mom’s freaking out, and I wish she’d just shut up. I hate it when she says “Oh, B’s are perfectly fine” only to make a face when I get one! No one’s allowed to make me an overachiever except MYSELF. Got it?!? >:O

Ugh. I have so much crap to do this week. Here’s the rundown:
Spanish notes due tomorrow, grr.... (I fixed them all up, though, and they’re ready to go.)
History writing (semi-essay) due tomorrow (haven’t started)
Science Lab write-up due tomorrow (haven’t started)
Spanish test on Wednesday
Science test on Thursday
English notebook check on Thursday
Math test on Friday
History Essay pending for Friday
On top of all the other homework I get every night. V_____V; The end of the marking period is EVIL I tell you, EVIL.

And how is it that I can still manage to be cheerful right now, running on 5 hours of sleep? I think it’s because it’s an odd number. I’m always really tired when I get an even hour of sleep, and wide awake when I get an odd number. How strange. O.o; Well, I g2g - a lab and history writing are waiting for me!

Happy Birthday
I posted this on Tony's forums, so everything below is just copied and pasted from there:

Anyways, since I remembered we're talking about dreams (talk about spaz-tastic), I had a dream about OB. I think it happened over the summer. Evidently, I wrote it down, seeing as how the piece of paper is in front of me. I found it last month when I was cleaning my desk, and now I'm sharing it (yes, it always takes me a long time to do stuff). It's not really about OB, just some members, two of which are here.

So there's a whole bunch of OB members. And we're all at Ken (DeathKnight's) house. There's wood paneling and lots of dark wood in his living room. It's either his, or Asuka's birthday (I think it's probably Asuka's but when I wrote it down I couldn't remember). A lot of people were invited, but only ten, fifteen, twenty or so actually come. And we had to move some of the tables together - they're kinda like some tables at school that seat two people side by side. So, we moved some together, I guess. Later on in the party, I think people started to leave because there wasn't enough fruit punch and Tony wanted pure cranberry juice (he kept complaining about wanting it). Then there's something about Ken looking at the fish in his aquarium. The party was almost pretty good until toward the end.

At this point on the paper, I have an elipses (dot dot dot). I think something embarassing happened that I was going to omit (I can't remember it anyhow - lol). I think I started yelling at Asuka for no reason (that happened before in my dream - the girl then was perfectly nice, too. O_O), but like I said, I can't remember. But then, after whatever I omitted happened, a "fair few people have to leave."

Now ain't that a crazy dream?

Amsterdam
Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye.

I promised Ken something a long time ago. (e-mail address edited as of May 25, 2005) if you ever need anything.

Come on, oh my star is fading, and I see no chance of release. I know I'm dead on the surface but I am screamin' underneath

Oh Boy
Wow. I have a lot to say. It's late at night and I'm too lazy to dig up that 80's quiz from Ness' blog - I'll look for it tomorrow. I also don't know how great of a baby sitter I'm going to be since after I posted that comment, I realized that the job isn't until next weekend. ~_~ keke.

Fútbol Americano
I went to the school football game yesterday. It was supposed to be an away game, and the pep band doesn't play that those, but the other team's football field is under construction (I imagine the turf is all gone), so at the last minute, it was switched to a home game. Our band director couldn't make it, so nobody showed up (people said they would, anyways - LIARS!!!) except Marlin, myself, and um... this senior who's in the band, and is incredibly nice. We didn't play though. But I watched the game - and we lost (we never scored, either). >_< Hey, it was better than doing nothing on a Saturday afternoon (it was an afternoon game.)

The other team's marching band wasn't bad, but they had these tacky white cowboy hats with yellow feathers on them - I wouldn't be caught dead wearing one, they were so tacky. Their colorguard didn't even match the band - their flags were white, blue, and red striped (It looked like a Russian flag) while the band and school colors were blue and yellow. LOL. Oh, and Lexi wasn't there (does she ever shut up?) but the stupid popular girls made such an annoying racket, yelling to all their friends on the cheerleading team.

Oh, did I tell you?
The cheerleading coach is Camp Jim - BUWAHAHAHA, WHO'S JEALOUS NOW?!?!? XD (No, I'm dead serious - he is the cheerleading coach). They're actually pretty good because of him - they do all these flips and twirls in the air. They like to gloat because they won 1st place in something at the states last year, but I'd rather barf. I mean, if they went down south, they'd be laughed at. I'm sure QA, Chris, and others can atest to that.

Party
Kristen's Sweet Sixteen party was tonight. I got home an hour ago. It was at the Shertaon crossroads - the place in this picture. I think she invited 20 - 30 kids. It was really nice. I liked the way I was dressed (I have pictures that will be developed as soon as the film is used up). The people were great, too. I went around and mingled with Marlena, Kristin, Tom, Melanie, Caitlin C., and David G. - whom I gave a hug to, at one point, because he looked rather mopey. I hope Marlena's okay. ^^;

At the end of the party, everyone was hugging each other, and stuff, before they left. I think it's safe to say this... *looks around to make sure Lumi won't tell anyone (You do, and I tell about the clarinet)* Ian Johnson is really really nice. And I hugged him, and he even smelled nice. *_*; Which brings me to my next question.

Secret Formula
Is there any secret formula, like in The Sims MM, to get someone to like you? Just curious if anyone knows of anything. Is there such a thing as an anti-aphrodisiac - I think I might be it. V_v;

Everybody's Fool
Has anyone seen the animated music video for "Everybody's Fool" by Evanescence? It's the one with the vampire from this video game (yes, I know that's really vague - but I don't have a clue what game it is). I know the vampire who's a character, mind you, was considered sexy enough, and appeared on the cover of playboy. (Don't ask why I know that - I turned on the TV one day to MTV, and was informed of that. lol)

Last note
Kevin - I know, I know. I forgot. Nag me, okay? Or else I really will forget. lol.

Musing
I bought a Muse CD yesterday - "Absolution" is the title of it. I don't quite think their music is extraordinarily special, but it's quite addicting, I tell you. >< So, in other words, a complete waste of 12 bucks, but fun to listen to. XD

In other news, Chris Reeves died today (er... yesterday). I thought that was pretty sad, you know? He was such a great guy, with such strength. ^_^

The one thing I will not condone is his death used for propaganda. I will personally rip the jugular out of anyone who uses his death as an excuse to get a few bucks from the government for embryonic stem cell research. I really agree with what their doing, but I never want to see his name used as "We could have prevented Chris Reeve's death with this research." Like I said, I will kill anyone who does that. -.-;

Yeah.
