The Scientist
By the way, I don't have a crush on anyone. That's why they're called crushes. Yay! I love it when things get uncrushed. 'Tis cool.

I was on the "A Year Like None Other" Yahoo Group, and I found someone there, who had been a member of Academic Decathlon. It was cool. Here, this is all the important stuff that was said:

~I loved it a two or three chapters ago when I gave out part of the first line and you guys all let your imaginations run free trying to finish the sentence (... or the paragraph.... or the whole chapter....) Why be shy, eh?

So I thought we'd do it again. Any takers?

Chapter 86: Hogsmeade

"So you're sure............"

Have fun!

"No, I'm not going to eat all fifty of them. I've been sugar depraved, but not that much. I do realize that too many will make me sick, and no thanks, but I'd rather not do that again." Nevertheless, Draco promtly closed the Honeydukes bag full of candy, and set it aside.

(I wrote more, but it’s really not important, and doesn’t make sense unless you read the fanfic. So er... yeah.)

Side notes:

1) I had an insane urge for Draco to start rambling about utils, and how if he ate too many chocolate frogs, he'd probably have negative utils before he got to fifty, and that would be counter productive. And besides, the marginal utility divided by price, would be too high. But a) I doubt Draco could assign a value to the utils, since they're made up. And b) I'm sure none of you would want to hear about Basic Economics. Blame Academic Decathalon (USAD.org) for my insanity.

Well, I don't think that's what Aspen wrote, but I like it. I can just picture Draco, stuffing his face with chocolate frogs, and then Harry mentioning him getting sick to his stomach and him quietly
putting the bag away and swallowing with a forced gulp, lol.

I also really like the other one ... the beginning of a conversation about the boggart. I really want to see a confrontation between Harry and Snape about Aran (doesn't matter whether Harry finally
tells him or whether Snape finds out on his own, I think Snape will be pretty ... shall we say "upset" either way). Of course, I'd like to see a Snape-Aran confrontation for that matter. Hint, hint, Aspen!!

side note:
Roxie, you're in USAD?? That's awesome! I'm a senior in college, but I totally did academic decathlon when I was in high school. I was never much for the economics, though. The one area I never won a medal in I think. Oh, that, and speech. Essay was my strong point. Good luck to you!

So yeah, that's basically what happened. It was cool. I was like "OMG - another Decathlete!" ^_^;

I have also come to the conclusion that, no matter how much I can care about other, and be concerned for them, I am the most selfish person ever in the history of forever.

I think it's because despite having an older sister, I basically grew up as an only child, being doted on and such, so I really don't like it when I'm pushed to one side.

I'm just so selfish because I can't stand it if someone's not paying attention to me. I mean, it doesn't have to be everybody, but someone in a group has to be at least acknowledging that I'm there, or else I get all sad and depressed and stuff.

So don't you see? People tell me that sometimes you have to be selfish, and I know one or two people who flat out refuse to believe I'm selfish, but I am. I'm just oh so selfish it's unbelievable. And it annoys me sometimes. *sighs loudly*

What's a girl to do? *shrugs shoulders*
