Haha just had to poke fun at the american trailer's lack of character speech for Advent Children. Though they obviously couldnt have any since they dont have any voice actors, unless u count the voice over guy. Still i just like to point out that the japanese trailer was better, it gave more incite into the story and the characters' emotions.
God damnit ... Ghost in the Shell: Innocence was released today in theatres and i dont have time to go see it. Its in limited release and the closest showing is in Canbridge, Massachusetts which is a 3 hour drive from here. I would've had plenty of time if i didnt have to go to my dad's restaurant. YAY, another dream ruined by the restaurant.
Anyway, I was thinkin of posting about the following since the 11th but i was too busy/lazy to write it up. So without further ado ....
Opinion Time!!!!
Now for my take on September 11th and death in general. ITS OVER, stop livin in the past. It was a sad event but why draw it out for 3 years. And why is it that people mourn deaths on an annual basis? Guess what, if there were 13 months in a year 9/11 would be 3 months from now. So why should u mourn them on that day cuz a calendar told you to? In my opinion u should mourn them when u feel like it and eventually just keep them in the past while you step up into the future. The death of a loved one shouldn't keep u down for this long.
Most mourning is for selfish reasons if u think about it. You mourn them cuz u want to be able to talk to them, you dont want to live alone, you cant support yourself financially without them and so on. Its all about your feelings, not them. You dont mourn the death of people you dont know. I can understand mourning a person who was horibly mutilated and had a slow painful death. That is partly unselfish cuz you are sad that they died in such a way. On September 11th most of the deaths were rather sudden and weren't painful. For all you know death could be the start of a new beginning in some other form either physical, spiritual, both or none and could be a better life than they had now. So mourning them for not being able to live life anymore may be untrue.
I'm agnostic so if some religious person is reading this, dont even try to tell me you know that people go to either heaven or hell or whatever you believe in. The truth is that you dont know but u need an explanation of the universe for some reason. Many people need religion for answers and for strength when they are weak. I may not have much respect for most religious people but i can somewhat respect a religious person who choose their own religion after studying a variety of religions. I would actually be interested in talkin to people like that since they can actually talk to me with knowledge backing them up. The biggest problem i have with a lot of religious people is their ignorance. Well i kinda went a bit off topic, anyway I dont need an explanation (though i would like to know) and humans may never find the answer to life after death even after a person dies he/she may not realize what happened. They might just be born again into the world with a clean slate, no memories to hold them down. Things could work like the "lifestream" (in FF7) where people die and essentially become one. Then eventually parts of them are reborn in many different creatures. So in the end death may be a joyous occasion for a person or just a simple renewal of life.
.... and to those who are suicidal: DON'T KILL YOURSELF. These are just possibilities. So live your life to the very last second, then experience death. There are other possibilities, If you die now u may just disappear or go to someplace worse. Those are the worst case senarios and u should always live thinking that way. If you live this life to the fullest you wont have to regret it in the next life. Well that is, if you are able to remember and regret in the next life.
