*ya~awn*
Current Gundam Mood:
Still very tired, but doing mucho better in the happy department.
Wow, it's really late, and once again, surprise surprise, I can't sleep. T_T Oh well, at least I don't have anything important that I'll be missing tomorrow if I do manage to sleep during the day like I plan to. Mouuuu, I hate insomnia!
Uh, anyway, on to the reason I'm feeling a bit better--we had a guest whom I haven't seen in a reaaaaaaally long time today! His name is Preston, and I've known him since before I can remember. He moved to Arizona a few years ago with his wife (he's 24, by the way) and the last time I saw him was the fourth of July in 2004. He's here because his father is in the hospital, but he's been making time to visit everyone in the neighborhood. He and my friend Tasha were here earlier playing cards--hence why I didn't post around 10 like I usually do. Actually, I wasn't going to post at all, but, well, I don't have anything better to do right now, so yeah. Anyway, I had a lot of fun, and it lifted my spirits considerably (especially since I totally owned everyone at cards!!). It's always nice to have an evening like that, don't you think? ^^
Well I've gotten four pages of my manga all sketched out. Only 13 more to go! Ah, but once I get the sketches all done, I'll still have ink them, then scan them at my mom's work (our scanner isn't big enough for the paper I'm using), tone and letter them in paintshop, then print them out at juuuust the right size (since the rules were very specific what sizes to use), and send them in. I still have a lot of work left -_-"" Ah, well, it'll be worth it in the end, and winning--or even placing in--this competition will look great on a college application (for an art college, anyway, which is good cuz that's where I plan on going). Wish me luck!
You know, I'm starting to think I have a thing for red-heads. I like Axel from Kingdom Hearts, Gaara from Naruto, Hiroshi from Gravitation, and now Reno from Final Fantasy VII.
I re-watched Advent Children yesterday, and it dawned on me that Reno(right) and Rude(left) were my favorite characters (Though I also really like Kadaj, Yazoo, Tifa, and Vincent), but Reno especially attracted my attention. I just love his spunky, smart-ass, but still dangerous attitude. He makes for a very interesting character. ^^ Anyone else like him?
Feh, well I'm gonna once again attempt sleep . . . that or attempt to learn more about Reno through fanfiction. Hmmm, decisions, decisions. . .
Random Fanfic Quote of the Day:
Alright, today, instead of just posting a quote, I'm going to link to a very short, but very funny FFVII fic. It takes about five minutes to read and I promise you'll at least get a chuckle out of it, even if you've never played the game (like me).
MYSTERY CHOCOBO DEATHS
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Nyan, nothing today because it's past 3 in the morning, and I don wanna hunt for one.

I'm Tiiiiiiiired!
Current Gundam Mood:
Sleepy and still depressed.
Mwah, I've had a rough week in the mental department, but I won't bore you guys with that. Instead I'll skip right to the good news--I got a job interview! *cheers* Yaaaay money! It's at Shopko (department store if anyone doesn't know; I'm not sure if it's local or national, so I'm just covering bases), which was my second choice. My first was a very highly unlikely position at a bookstore, so I'm content with this. . . of course, I haven't gotten the job yet, so I'm kinda counting chickens. Eh, well as soon as my mom heard I had an interview she flipped and dragged me out to shop for "Suitable Work Clothes"--meaning something other than jeans and t-shirts. We haven't really found much besides a white blouse that I really like, and some gray pants that I really don't like. Hopefully we'll be able to find something else before monday or else I'll be forced to wear the most unflattering pants in the world. XP Maybe I'll be able to find some nice khakis or something. . . ? *sigh* Wish me luck on the whole ordeal, neh?
Other than the job thing I've been drawing a lot and finishing very little. I've been working on my entry for the RSOM manga competition, but I keep getting stuck, and all of my other art is leering at me in various states of unfinishedness--meaning I stopped at some difficult part and am having a hard time summoning the energy to pick them up and finish them. Fshuuuuuu, stupid insomnia, sucking away all of my personality and leaving me a lazy, grumpy, couch-potatoe. *glares at no one in particular*
Ah! But I must practice the fake cheer so I will get hired! No one wants a pissy employee! *perks up and says in best cheer-leader voice* Hello! Welcome to Shopko!
. . . . . . . . . .
Yeah I didn't buy that either. . . Damn. Eh, I'll find a way to cheer up before monday. Oh yeah, and I changed my quote and video, if anyone cares to look.
Random Fanfic Quote of the Day:
"The bench that he was seated on shifted slightly as someone pushed aside Momoshiro’s tennis bag and damp towels, then finally plopped down beside him with a soft sigh. He took no notice of it. He was busy running his fingers through his hair, trying to get the gelled up locks to stand upright in their customary spikes.
Great, the heat has even affected my hair. My crowning glory… he thought mournfully to himself. He gave up when the damp locks stubbornly kept falling limply back into place."
--From "Popsicle" by Laree. Located at www.fanfiction.net
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
It's Edo-kun! Ahaha, yeah I know it's messy, but it was my first time trying to color with an electronic pen, so cut me some slack, neh? (Oh, and an aside to Rosa, a tablet laptop is a laptop with a screen that you can flip around and write on like a notebook with an electronic pen--they're really nifty for doing mini-presentations and stuff like that, hence why my dad has one for work)

I'm Baaaaack!
Current Gundam Mood:
Ah, kinda depressed, but I'll get over it.
Well, once again I missed a few days posting, but this time it wasn't because of laziness or something like that, it was because I was in Utah visiting family. *big exaggerated sigh* I had fun, but I'd forgotten how tiring my grandma can be. I guess there's a reason why we don't see her very often, besides distance. You see, my grandma is a little eccentric, and can be a little. . . difficult sometimes. Eh, let's just say that she seems to like arguing with my dad and leave it at that. It's kinda sad, but I actually had more fun on the drive home than during the actual trip. We stopped at a mall in Ogden and I got some nifty stuff; a Gaara T-shirt, Saiyuki vol 8, Death Note vol 2, and the first dvd of Get Backers. I gotta say I'm really enjoying it so far.
Ban and Ginji are so cool! I can't wait to see more. ^^ Hmm, once I get all of my current projects out of the way, I just might have to do a fanart of one or both of them.
Mou, well I also posted the fanart that I promised on my last post. It's of Akaii and Nobuko, two characters that were very nearly abandoned. I was gonna drop Akaii Neko because I haven't done anything with the story in months, but I decided to just shelve it away for later rather than totally getting rid of it. In the mean time, I figured I'd do a pic of the characters and see how my style has changed in the past few months.
Summer!
Oh and I fixed the link in my other post. Thanks LS for letting me know it didn't work. My bad!
Meh, well I'm not sleeping well again--even with my lovely fluffy pillow! Of course, it's not the quality of my sleep that's lacking, it's the quantity. My insomnia strikes again! XP Just last night I stayed up until 6 AM. -_- Not healthy I tell ya, not healthy. I did do something productive with my time though; I wrote another article. I won't go into detail until it gets approved though, so you guys don't have to sit through one of my boring explanations of content. . . yet. *glances around*
Mouuu, I gotta go job hunting tomorrow. I dun wanna work! But I gotta, cuz I needs da money. XP Let's just hope I don't get stuck in food service or something like that. Eyuck!
Okies, I'll shut up now and let you all get back to your lives.
Random Fanfic Quote of the Day:
”I know she was, Kitling. And if I ever catch her near you again, Gaara and Papa are going to find out just how many cuts a human body can take before it dies.”
“Generally, around two thousand.”
Naruto paused. Looked at Gaara, opened his mouth, closed it, opened it again, and then shook his head. “No. I’m not even going to ask how you know that. Come on, Kitling, let’s go see the doctor.”

Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Ahh, my first drawing done on a tablet laptop! Heheh, done in paint with one of those electronic pens in about five minutes. I'll post another one tomorrow with a character that everyone will recognize. (Oh, and that one has color too!)

OH HELL YEAH!!
Current Gundam Mood:
Elated and amazed!
Ah, I'm finally done with school for the year! Just got home a little bit ago, actually. . . . WOOO SUMMER!! But! What's even more amazing is, well, today I got two of my finals back to see my score--English and History--and guess what! I got perfect scores on both!!! *cries with joy* That makes three exams that I got 100% on! THREE!! I've never done that in my entire life! *hugs and cookies and pocky and whatever anyone wants!!!*
Ah, now I just have to get the job I want and my joy will be complete. ^_____________^
Ano, and no for some shameless self promotion! I have some fanart! It's another one of Rakeya in his assasin outfit. Heheh, the purpose of this outfit, besides being sneaky, was that it let me sneak that ninja mask into his design somehow! I'm really quite pleased with this one though, because I had fun designing his pants. ^^ Oh, and it's pencil shaded grayscale, which I don't do very often, so I also had fun with that.
Click Me!!
I also have a summer themed pic featuring a couple of characters I haven't drawn in a while, but I'll wait until tonight to post that one. ^_^ (Oh, Logan-kun, I can guarantee that you'll like it!)
Mwah! Well me madre wants me to go help her garden now, so I'm off to be a good daughter. See y'all tonight!! *hyper hugs to all*
Random Fanfic Quote of the Day:
"Gaara didn’t care if the young man was frolicking through the fields naked singing ‘I’m a pretty pony’. If it wasn’t his blonde idiot, someone was going to die a very gruesome death. Although admittedly, if it was Naruto he sincerely hoped the blonde wasn’t actually frolicking and singing ‘I’m a pretty pony’. It would just be too weird, even by his standards."

Almost done. . .
Current Gundam Mood:
Pensive, but the worst is over.
Fwah, sorry I haven't been around the last few days, but I've been studying like crazy for finals this week. I took two of them today--British Lit. and History--and have only one left tomorrow--Geometry. As far as scores go, I think I did just fine in British Lit, but I'm a bit worried about History. We had a million organizations to memorize, and I'm afraid I might have mixed a few up. I always get the PWA and the WPA screwed up. >_<" Let's hope I did alright, neh?
Uh, other than that, not a lot of interesting stuff besides a fic I'm reading right now. Before I go into the plot, first I will explain that I do not, on principal, read fics that feature original characters or children of already existing characters. My reason for having such a weird rule is that they almost always suck eggs. No offence to people who write in that style, but the OCs almost always Mary-Sue, and the children generally come off as reeeeeaaaaaally annoying. But just this once, I started reading a fic with children, though I didn't know it had kids when I started. At first I thought it was just gonna be a simple NarutoXGaara fic--and yes, I do like that pairing, though I'm not sure why--but it ended up with Naruto having a daughter--NO mpreg, blagh! It was done differently--and I'm quite shocked to find that the story isn't half bad. Oh, and no, the daughter isn't the main character, she's just support and comic relief. It's rare to find a fic that has an OC in it that doesn't suck, so kudos to the author of this fic. I'll post a quote from it at the end of this post. ^^
Ah, I know what to talk about now! I got a new manga this weekend, and leme tell ya, it's a good one! It's called Death Note. You've probably heard about it here on theotaku because they kept talking about the live action movie a while ago. I saw the book in the store and went "Hey, isn't that--?" So I bought it, and it is definitely worth the fuss. The art is great, and the story is even better--to save everyone my poor summary skills, I'll just type what's on the back of the book. ^^
Light Yagami is an ace student with great prospects--and he's bored out of his mind. But all that changes when he finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and now Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But when criminals begin dropping dead, the authorities send the legendary detective L to track down the killer. With L hot on his heels, will Light loose sight of his noble goal. . . or his life?
Heheh, yes it is very interesting. In fact, here's a pic!
On the right is Ryuk, the Shinigami--obviously--and on the left is Light. Very enjoyable manga. Very dark, but very good. I'd highly suggest picking it up next time you're looking for a good manga to read. ^_^

Here's the other late Mother's Day thing I promised. As you can see, this one was for my Baachan. And yeah, that's me, and yeah that's what she asked for. . . though I'm kinda mad because I accidentally made my hair shorter than it is. It's actually closer to my elbows.

A few minor adjustments and a very late Mother's Day gift
Current Gundam Mood:
A wee bit flustered.
Ah, thanks for all of the comments on Rakeya, but, anooo, I sorta changed his design a bit again. Not a really big change or anything, the most major thing was his hair--it's not white anymore, it's blue. Aaaanyway, I've got another fanart of him, this time representing his relationship with his "Master". You see, I've decided that Rakeya isn't "evil" exactly, he's just following orders. His relationship with Master is kinda like the relationship between Zabuza and Haku from Naruto. Hence the title of my newest piece. ^^
Blind Devotion
Moving on! I was quite embarassed earlier today, because I had to go up in front of the school to accept an award that I didn't know about. I just randomly got called up for an award in English, then again for one in Art. Ack!! I hate getting up in front of crowds! I was shaking like a leaf up there!! Guh, I'm just glad I didn't have to say anything when I got the awards. >_O
Yeah yeah, I know, stop complaining about getting awards. . .
Uh, anyways, the phone just rang a couple of minutes ago, and I have to say that that was one of the weirdest wrong numbers I've ever gotten. I answered the phone, and some guy says 'Hang on a sec, Mom, I'm gonna hand you over to Dad,'. I was like O_O WTF!?! I'm not this guy's mom! Ah, so I kinda hung up. Geez, I know people mistake me for my mom on the phone all the time, but never someone else's mom! I wonder if I really sound that old? O_o
Random Fanfic Quote of the Day:
"I'm still dreaming, which explains all of this. Obviously. So I just need to wake up, which I will, any moment now. In the mean time...
("Oh well... might as well be useful while we're here...")
I reach for a shot glass. Chibi Hakkai passes by my legs with a little "Excuse me."
The sound of a paper fan smacking the back of a head, and a yelp.
("Don't touch her cereal, you stupid monkey!")
Reach for a juice glass. Fill half way with rum.
My Underwear Waltzes Into the Room.
("Check out these babies)
My underwear skids across the kitchen floor and proceeds to climb a chair leg.
("What do you think you're doing, you perverted Kappa?")
I fill the glass the rest of the way."
--From "When Chibis Attack" by Chaosbfly, located at www.fanfiction.net
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Doing things a little different today! I'm gonna put my mom's Mother's Day gift up today, then my Grandma's tomorrow. So here's the fairy I did for my mom!
Yup, that's what my mom asked for. I offered to add a background, but she said she likes it like this. Oh, and he skin is supposed to be really textured, kinda like bark or something. Enjoy!

Presenting!!!
Current Gundam Mood:
Quite tired, actually, but content.
Mmm, I slept really crappy last night, but tonight should be much better because I got a new pillow. My old one was all flat and hard, so my Daddy brought me home a new one. ^_____^ It's all big and fluffy, so I should sleep really well tonight!
In other news, I'm having a mini-party here on my site today--*snaps fingers and Takuya and Atsuko come out in catering outfits, bearing trays of delicious goodies and drinks*--for two reasons. One! I got a 100% on my Spanish final. Yeah, you heard right! 100%!!!! Haha, I totally screwed up the curb for my classmates, but I don't care, that's the first time I've ever gotten a perfect score on a semester final. *manic grin*
The other reason I'm celebrating is that I've finally finished fleshing out my character--and that includes his name! Aaaaand, his naaaame iiiiis *insert dramatic drumroll* Rakeya! Thanks much to Logan-kun for the name! When I read it, it just sorta clicked and I automatically started thinking of him as Rakeya. ^^ And thanks to everyone else who suggested names as well--I liked them too, they just didn't jump out at me like that one did. Aaaanyway, I have a fanart of Rakeya so you guys can see what he looks like now, instead of that rough draft I posted before.
Rakeya!
This is just a simple side-profile, done from the chest up, but don't worry--I'm working on a full pic so you guys can see his 'action' outfit. It's very sleek and secretive. And it doesn't show as much skin, I promise. ^_~
Ah, also, one more reason to celebrate is that I'll be adding a new feature to my posts as of today. You see, I read a lot of fanfiction, and often I find random lines very significant, be it in a way that's funny, heartwarming, heartwrenching, cute, etc., so I figured I might as well start sharing them. Soo, my new feature is "Random Fanfic Quote of the Day". So here's the first one! (Oh, and just so everyone knows, these will mostly be from Gundam fics, since that's mostly what I read.)
"I smiled a little. I rarely heard Heero laugh, except for that horribly evil laugh he used to do in the war when he was blowing up mobile suits. He’d leave on his communication unit when he did that. Creepy little jerk."
--From "Masquerade: How the Wolf Ate the Samurai" by DevilChick (located at www.gundam-wing-fanfiction.net)
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Ahh, a very messy, very unfinished sketch of Kanashi. Sorry it's pretty crappy, but it was all I could come up with on short notice. Gomen!

Well, it's not a thong, but. . .
Current Gundam Mood:
*giggle*
Ahh, I just got to the second disk on FFIX (there's four), and at the end of the first one, I met Kuja for the first time, and guess what? Yeah, he does wear a thong. XD Well, it's not exactly a thong--more like a bikini bottom--but it's close enough that I had a good little laugh. He pulls it off well though. *sputtersnickergiggle* As predicted I'm highly enjoying this game and can't wait to see more of the story. ^^
Uhh, well honestly that's mostly what I did today besides drawing and reading a bit. Heheh, that's how my Sundays usually are--just lounge around all day and do nothing productive whatsoever. Ah! I just remembered that I only have 7 1/2 days of school left! *looks like inner-Sakura* OH YEAH!! I can't wait for school to be over with!! . . . . . . Ah, but then I have to get a job. -_-" Feh. I hope I can at least get a job somewhere cool like a bookstore or something. Wish me luck, neh?
Oh yeah, and before I go, I just want to give a huge thanks and a hug to everyone who commented on that big sleu of fanart a few days ago. I love you guys! *huggles and snuggles*
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
This was the original idea for my "Peaceful Slumber" picture. I changed it a bit, but I actually like this version better. Maybe I'll color it on the comp or something. . .

Buenas Tardes!
Current Gundam Mood:
Shocked at my post time.
Wow, I haven't done a middle of the day post in a reaaaally long time. But I have nothing better to do, so I figured I might as well just post and waste some time. ^_^ Oh, and if anyone is wondering why I didn't post last night, it's because we had a lightning storm, and I didn't want to risk frying my computer, so I had to shut it off. ^^
Hmmm, well over the past couple of days not much has happened besides me drawing a whole lot. Don't worry, I don't have anything to post yet, but I do have several sketches that need inking and coloring. A couple of them are of a new chara of mine. He still needs a name, but I do have his role in Nameless pretty much all worked out; he's a relative of Takuya (I'm still stuck between cousin or brother), he is the antagonist (haven't decided if he's evil persay yet, but he will cause some friction with everyone) aaaand, he looks way younger than he is. Takuya is like that too. So at the end of this post, I'll put up one of my early sketches of the character--though a few things have changed already, and I'll list what they are--and I will humbly request name suggestions. *bows*
Other than drawing, I've been continuing with my videogame escapades. FFIX is quite fun (oh, and an aside to Logan-kun, you said something about Squall, but he's in FFVIII, not FFIX), and I found out that Zidane's tail is a monkey tail.
Heheheh, my hint was when he was teasing Steiner by hanging from the ceiling by it. I'm really loving it, but my brother seems to be getting rather annoyed with me hogging the PS2. Oh, and back on the RE4 thing for a moment, my brother came up with a solution for my flinchy-ness and lack of aiming skills. You see, he's beat the game countless times, and in one of them, he bought/unlocked (not sure which) the machine gun and rocket launcher with unlimited ammo, so he's gonna get that one back to the beginning so I can try again. Heheh, I think it will be more fun when I don't have to worry about wasting bullets. *evil grin*
Hokay, well I think that's all. See you all soon!
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Okies, this is the character I was talking about. Oh, and this was originally on notebook paper; the reason it looks all computer-colored is because I did actually start to color this one in Paintshop, but about half way through I changed the design and decided to drop it. The things that have changed include: he now has elf ears, his pants have gotten less tight (they're more like baggy shorts now), and his arm thingies have a white stripe down the side. Oh, and I'm debating adding a little ninja face mask like the one Kakashi wears. Other than that it's pretty much the same. So, uh, names would be really nice, if you don't mind? I haven't the foggiest what to call him. >_<

Video Games!!
Current Gundam Mood:
Feeling silly.
Haha, I had a really great day today. I did absolutely nothing in school, and then played videogames all afternoon. Oh, by the way, I did this yesterday, but I'll tell it now since I'm already on the subject of videogames. . . I finally unlocked the secret movie at the end of KH2!!! But leme tell ya, it was really confusing--slinky armor and rusty keyblades!--and now they have to make another game, just to explain it.
Aaaanyway! On to the games I played today. First off, I finally started playing Final Fantasy IX. I know, it's old--the last FF game for the playstation, actually--but I've wanted to play it for a while, and, well, I recently heard something that perked my interest enough to actually make me start playing. Is it true that the villian wears a thong through the whole game? I heard that somewhere and just had to see for myself. I haven't gotten far enough yet to find out, but I'll let you guys know when I do. . . yeah I know I'm weird if that is what finally motivates me to play. >_<
The other game I tried, which was less successful, was Resident Evil 4 (the gamecube version). Both my brother and Logan-kun have been harassing me to try it for some time, so I finally gave in to their prodding. Aaaaand. . . well I've gotta say that I'm reaaaaaaally bad at it. I can't aim to save my life, and I freak out every time one of those ganados(sp?) guys comes after me. I'm not kidding, I went into a shack and this guy swung an axe at me, and I literally screamed. My brother's reaction was like "!?! O_o WTF is wrong with you!?! Calm down, it's just a video game!" I guess flinchy people like me shouldn't play games where quick reflexes--and aiming skills!--are kinda important. So yeah, me thinks I'll stick with RPG games, lol. ^_^"" Gomen, Logan-kun!! I still like to watch my bro play!
Back on FFIX for a moment, I just gotta ask, what kind of animal tail does Zidane have? I recall someone calling him a monkey, but it looks more like a cat tail to me. Either way he's totally adorable ^^
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Ahh, another page of totally random doodles. I don't think any of them really have a point behind them except the one of Trowa--and that's only because I originally intended that one to be a full picture.
