   Look Around!!

Time of Post: 10:15 PM(MT) Currently Listening To: "Shining Collection" by Iceman Current Gundam Mood: Still not quite checked in from my little "vacations" First off, how do you like the new layout? Even though I haven't had my KH layout for very long, I felt like having a change. Well, that and my little Gaara obsession has perked up a wee bit as of late. Not sure why exactly, it just kinda did. ^^ I guess this layout is a dedication to spikey-haired redheads. Yay Axel and Gaara! ^_~ Anoo, anyways, I suppose now I should account for this newest absense of mine. Weeeell, there's not much to say. -_-" I've just been spending my time as I always do, minus the odd hour or so I usually take at night to post--meaning it was boring and I had nothing much of worth to say. But I'm back with a vengance today, so it's all good! ^____^ Well I saw Silent Hill this weekend. . . I LOVED it!!! It was so demented and scary in a twisted kinda way--just my kinda horror movie, and it was great! Although, I don't think me madre enjoyed it very much. . . even my brother said it was a bit much in the gore department for his tastes. But nevermind them! It didn't bother me in the least and it was totally awesomeness! *manic grin* The transitions from the "Normal" world to the "Dark" world were really cool too. And ohhh were they good with the monsters! My favorite was definitely Pyramid Head (the guy in the poster) he was absolutely terrifying! Whoever did his makeup is one hell of an artist! Okay, now that my little gush is over with, I've got something big for you guys. Ya know how I've been gone for so long? Yeah, well the fanart has sorta piled up while I was away, and today I was debating the best way to go about it. Should I post one a day and link? Should I put up the ones that are relevant to the post or something like that? I finally decided to be lazy and just post em all at once! Of course, you guys don't have to look at all of them right now if you don't want to, but I'd appriciate it, if you get a free moment sometime soon, if you'd go take a peek and maybe leave a vote or a comment? I have biscotti! It's in the fanart section, so off with ya! Okies, I'm gonna link them all with thumbnails to tease you. Take your pick! "Peaceful Slumber" This was done in late March and promptly forgotten because I did it in a sketch book I don't use much. I was digging through it the other day and found this and figured I'd just go ahead and submit it. "A Little Older" I drew the Naruto gang as I envision them to look in a couple of years. I had a lot of fun designing their outfits--particularly Sasuke, though Naruto's is the most different. I decided to do away with his "Shoot Me!" orange jumpsuit, but I did keep orange as the primary color in the design. "Best Friends!" Well this one didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped it would, but I still love it to death. I'm particularly proud of Roxas's hair, because I was certain I wouldn't be able to draw it correctly. Goes to show, neh? "Kyo!" Just a simple Kyo picture. I did this one mainly to practice backgrounds. I have a blended yellow for this one that I think goes nicely with Kyo's coloring. "Bed Head" Ahhh, now this is my favorite out of the bunch. I did another version of it on notebook paper, and liked it so much that I decided to do and "official" version. The idea came to me when I was pondering the physics of Axel's hair. I just thought "What would it look like if he slept on it?" Can you imagine? All of those long red spikes would go everywhere!!    Erm, hello. . .

Time of Post: 10:04 PM(MT) Current Gundam Mood: Uhm, lost in creativity? Wow, once again it's been a while. I'm so sorry everyone! Gomenasia, minna-san!! *bows* This time I don't even have the excuse of being busy, because quite honestly, I've been sitting on my butt playing videogames for the past week. (I'm sooooo close to beating KH2 100% and unlocking the extra movie!!!). However, I think I can blame my missing posts so often on the time change. Ever since daylight savings, I've been loosing track of time really badly. I guess I'm just too used to it getting dark around 7 instead of 8:45. -_-"" So I always realise that I haven't posted around 11 at night, and that's when I have to go to bed, so you see my dilema. Eh, anyways! I have new fanart! Of course, it's piled up a bit in my absence, but I'll only do two today. (I have two more waiting to be submitted, I just need to touch them up) Today I have a fairly simple picture of Duo, as well as a more complicated picture that I won't spoil. Suffice to say that it's more creepy than I usually do, and that the idea came from my classmates in art. I made the mistake of asking "Hey, what should I draw?" Heheh, I think my friends are quite demented sometimes. . . Bwahahaha! My masterpiece of the schoolyear! That thing took me four months to make! Four Months!! >_O Though about a month 1/2 of that was spent on the image gallery. . Anyway, I'd appriciated it if you guys would at least take a look. Pwease? *big sparkly eyes* Link! Mou, well now that I've wasted a lot of time on shameless self promotion. . . uh, I have nothing else to say. . . I don't think. . . Oh! Wait, wait! Chotto mate! I measured my hair today! Yeah I know, totally random, but I was curious what the aproximate length is. It's 2 feet 1 inch, by the way, which is about down to my elbows. This is just a simple little doodle of Takuya, that I may or may not finish. It's not as messy as some of my sketches, but then again, it's not that clean either.    La Li Hooooooo!!!!!!

Time of Post: 10:46 PM(MT) Current Gundam Mood: WHEEEEEEE!! Hey hey, everyone! Sorry it's been a while, I've been really busy lately and haven't had a whole lot of time to myself--and what little time I have had has been devoted to reading, drawing, writing, ect. Gomen for neglecting this site! >_< Uhm, anyway, speaking of drawing, I have a new fanart! It's a notebook drawing of Takuya that I figured turned out good enough to submit. Votes and comments and all that, neh? Ta~ku-cha~an! So anyways, now that shameless self promotion is out of the way, I have an announcement. . . I finally got to see FFVII: Advent Children today!!! Ohhh, it was soooo coool! I think I'm in love with Reno! Ah, and he even had the same voice as Axel from KH2! *tackle-hugs the kawaii redheads and snuggles them to death* I watched it over Jerry's house--actually I spent most of the afternoon there. It was really fun because we haven't just hung out together in a long time. Also, I think he's got a thing for my hair, because he kept petting it. He'd just randomly reach out and run his fingers through it. Not that I mind--I love when people play with my hair! ^___^ Oh! I almost forgot to mention that my shirt came last week! You know the one that says "Uke: Root For The Underdog!" Ah, I love it so much! I wore it to school the day after I got it, and was completely shocked by how many people asked me what "Uke" meant. Well, since I live in a small town that isn't really open-minded, I usually ended up dodging the question with an answer like "Oh, it's anime terminology--too complicated to explain." XD Yeah, but even though people didn't know what it meant, I still got lots of compliments on it. ^_^ So anyways, I hope everyone has a great day, and gomen for skipping out again!    Betcha thought I wasn't gonna post today, didn't cha?

Time of Post: 10:25 PM(MT) Current Gundam Mood: I'm still sick! XP Waugh, I can't believe I'm still horribly sick! >_< I stayed home yesterday, but had to go today because I thought I had a test. But I was wrong! *sobs in a corner* It turns out that the test is next week. So I spent the day explaining to people that the reason I sounded so hoarse wasn't because I'd developed a sudden smoking problem over the weekend, but that I had caught a really, really nasty cold. *hacks uncontrollably and glares at no one in particular* Ah, but I am better than I was yesterday, so I suppose that's a plus, neh? Oh! Oh! Guess what I got my brother to agree to! Well, first I must explain that my dear brother resembles a certain anime character, and that he is both pleased and ashamed of this resemblance. Who does he look like, you might ask? Eiri Yuki from Gravitation (more like the manga version, but close to the anime too). We realized it one day and had a big laugh about it, and ever since I've been bugging him to cosplay as Yuki and use the excuse of "My sister made me do it." XD So anyways, he finally agreed! The only condition he gave me was that I had to find his costume. Pfft! All I need is a pink shirt and a suit jacket, and my bro will be transformed into the sulky writer. Mwahaha--*coughackcoughcough!!* Damned cold, ruining my evil laugh. *pouts* Ah, anyways, expect that sometime soon. *evil grin* Anoo, what else? Nothing!    Front Page, Ma!!

Time of Post: 10:03 PM(MT) Current Gundam Mood: I'm siiiiick! XP I'm afraid I've caught a nasty cold today--or well, not a cold exactly, more of a sore throat/fever kinda thing. I'm dizzy, my throat is killing me, and I have a headache, but other than that, I'm peachy. I just got done playing games with my friend, my brother, and my brother's friend. We played Cranium and Hoopla. Tasha and I won Cranium but lost at Hoopla, so we're even. Anyway, now that I've complained about my health, let's move on to more fun news! I submitted an article around 1AM last night, and when I came to check earlier, not only had it been approved, but it made the main page of TheOtaku! I was so surprised that I immediately called everyone who was currently at my house (Tasha and my mom) in to read comments with me. I honestly was worried about the thing being rejected as a cause of controversy, but it was accepted and, shock shock, I got mostly positive feedback. I'm so happy!!! ^______^ Anyway, I'll bet a lot of you are wondering what exactly I wrote on. . . well, it's a bit obvious, since it's something I like that's controversial. That's right, you guessed it: Yaoi. My article explored why exactly girls love yaoi so much, and like I said, I got mostly good responses. Of course, there were a couple of flames, but not nearly as many as I expected, so I'm content. Oddly enough, most of the flamers didn't even read the article, they just commented on the main page. Last I checked (about five minutes ago), I had eighteen comments on the main page and thirty-nine on the article itself. If you're interested, click here to read it. I don't expect everyone to read it, of course, since I know a lot of you don't care much for yaoi, but if you're interested in finding out the 'why' of girls loving yaoi, I suggest you go check it out. Thanks much! *hugs and drinks and candy/cookies for everyone to celebrate a debut in article writing* Okay, now that shameless self-promotion is over, I want to tell you guys about the shirt I ordered today. Heheh, I guess we're still on the yaoi topic though (gomen to those who don't like it!) I got a baseball style shirt that says "Uke: Root for the underdog!" on it. *squeal* I love it sosososo much and can't wait to get it in the mail!! Here's a picture to inspire jealosy from my fellow yaoi fangirls: Heehee, I wuvs it! ^_^ Oh, wait, wait, I have to go back to the article again for a moment because I have to say what my mom's reaction was. Remember how I said that I called her and my friend in to read comments with me? Yeah, well from the comments, she kinda got the gist of the article, but still wanted to read it. I was really embarassed and nervous, because she's only partially aware of my love for the yaoi genre--meaning she thinks Gravitation is the only one I like. Heheh, well she found out different! XD It was kinda funny, after she read it, she said to me "Well, I only have one thing to say; my little girl has grown up." XDXD Ha! I was laughing like a maniac because I was so relieved she wasn't mad at me. What followed that statement was a very in-depth disscussion on gay people and our views on the subject. My mom's official standing is that she's okay with it--actually works with several gay and lesbian people, on that matter--but that she'd rather not see it. She kinda squirms whenever I watch Gravitation, because the whole guyxguy thing weirds her out to no end. Ah well, at least she's not against me liking it, neh? ^_~ Alrightie, I'll stop babbling now.    Bwahahaha!

Time of Post: 10:00 PM(MT) Current Gundam Mood: I am a genius! Bwahaha! I managed to coax my parents into letting me stay home today! You see, classes were cancelled today because we had "Career Day" in the morning, and the Spring Fling in the afternoon. I would've gone, but they weren't offering any careers I was interested in--I do NOT want to go into policing, dentistry, sports training, or towing (I kid you not, towing was one of the careers offered), thanks--and all I ever do during the Spring Fling--this is when my school has an afternoon of outdoor activities scheduled, none of which are mandatory--is sit outside with my friends and be bored, because I'd really rather not play mud volleyball. *shudders* Anyway, I used the above arguments on my parents, and they agreed to let me stay home and spend my time in a more productive manner. . . like sleeping. XD And sleep I did! Until almost noon actually. It was quite nice! ^_^ Ah, thanks so much for all the wonderful comments on my Sora picture! I'm glad everyone liked it! It's been a while since I spent that much time on a single picture, so all of the positive feedback was definitely encouragement to do that more often ^_______^ And if you haven't commented yet, take your time.    It is finished!!

Time of Post: 10:00 PM(MT) Current Gundam Mood: Tired as hell, but satisfied! Bwahahaha! As promised, I now have a fanart of Sora in his Final form! There are several issues with it, like my pen smearing on his face a bit when I colored it (even though I waited overnight for the ink to dry!) and I lost my reference picture half way through coloring it, so some of the colors may be off a bit. But still, I'm oddly pleased with this picture. I suppose I have a love/hate outlook on it--meaning there are things I love, like his hair and his shirt, and things I hate, like his pants and some of the lining. Ah well, here's the link! Votes and comments earn oreos! Behold the Spikeyness!! Oh! Before I forget to mention it--this pic is also special for me for one very important reason. And that reason is? It has a background! Not a scenery background, just blue with swirls, but a background nonetheless, and I don't usually do those. Ah, well I don't have anything else to talk about because that fanart took up most of my free time today. So yeah. . . Go comment!! Random Notebook Scan of the Day: Ahh, my writing at its worst. I think the reason I had so many issues with this page was that I was trying to convey too many emotions in too little words.    I'm so proud of myself!

Time of Post: 10:26 PM(MT) Current Gundam Mood: Happy kinda-sorta Hey, you know how whenever I say I'm going to draw something, I usually never get around to it? Well, guess what! That's right, this time I actually--Wowzers, Bob!--did what I said I was going to! Uh, well, mostly anyway . . . I have a line-art of Sora that I'm currently waiting for the ink to dry on. Me thinks I should have it colored and posted by tomorrow. I will admit that I used a reference picture on this one though, even if only because I can't draw Sora on my own to save my life. His hair is damned hard! And his clothes have a hell of a lot of detail--I decided to draw him in his "Final" form by the way. Yepyep, expect it tomorrow. (watch, now I'm not gonna get it done XP) Ah! And thankies for all the kind comments on my Axel pic! ^_^ I do so love getting comments! Oh, and yes I realize his ear was too low. I noticed that after I'd finished coloring it and it was too late to fix it. I hate it when I notice things too late! Ah, oh well; I'll do better next time. Like with that Sora pic. . . I hate drawing Sora's hair. Did I mention that already? Spikey hair is like, impossible for me to draw! It took me four attempts before I was happy with it! XP At least his hands look good. I'm always pleased when I do hands well. ^^ Ugh, well I must wrap this up because bed-time is fast approaching. Random Notebook Scan of the Day: I actually don't care for this one much, but it's all I could find on short notice (I remembered that I still didn't have one for today ten minutes before I started typing this). So I guess it's a mediocre notebook doodle. Tomorrow I'll scan another sample of my writing that is reaaaaaaaaally messy. And I'm not even done editing that page because I hate the way it's written.    La li ho!!

Time of Post: 10:00 PM(MT) Current Gundam Mood: The Triumphant Victor Returns!! Hey there everyone! It's been a while, hasn't it? Like the new layout? Very Kingdom Hearts-centric, isn't it? Heheh, well I haven't been posting because I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 2, so that's why that's my new theme. Anyway, I'm back because I beat the game today! WOOOOO! It was sooooooooooo good! And the end! Ah, I cried it was so beautiful. Sosososo pretty! I wuv KH! *squirms* So yeah, that's what's been occupying my time for the past, what's it been? Eight days!?! Wow, I really have been a hermit, haven't I? XD I think I scared my parents, staying up until all hours playing this weekend. Heh, then I'd get mad when they tried to wake me up at a decent hour. XD Uh, well I did a fanart for it anyway. I actually posted it a couple of days ago, but never told you guys. Gomen! Uhm, anyway, take a look if you don't mind? It's of Axel. Woo, Axel! Heheh, he was my favorite character. Well, him and Riku and Roxas, lol. Anyway, I just love Axel's hair, but damn was it hard to draw! I have such issues with spikey hair. -_-" I also plan to do a pic of Sora--whom I have attempted many times, but failed every time because of his impossible hair--but I don't make any promises as to actually getting around to it. XD Anyway, just to fill space, here's another pic of Axel so you can compare and contrast. Oh yeah, and before I go, I have a new quote and a new video up. Check them out whenever you have time, neh? Random Notebook Scan of the Day: Wow, I'd almost stopped this, hadn't I? Well, now it's back, and with a bang! I did this one at school, first in pencil, then in blue pen (duh). It's supposed to be Duo with a more realistic look. I was so pleased with it--particularly his eyes and lips--that I thought about touching it up and coloring it with the comp, but I changed my mind. . . for now. *looks around suspiciously* Oyasumi!

   Gomen! I meant to post, I really did!

Time of Post: 11:15 PM(MT) Current Gundam Mood: Much, much better. Ah, I'm just popping in to let everyone know that I'm still alive! Things are doing much better in my house now that my brother has been to the doctor and gotten some new anxiety medication. . . in fact, whatever he's on now has made him quite hyperactive--almost to the point of being annoying, acutally. But! I'm not going to do or say anything that would send him back to where he was earlier this week. No sir! I'd take hyperactive, noisy, Scooty-niisan to depressed, quiet, constantly upset Scott any day! Ahem, now to summarize my week. I must say, that because of all of the drama this week, this is possibly the worst spring break I've ever had. However, it wasn't all bad. I got to spend a lot of time with my family--we saw Ice Age 2 yesterday; not as good as the first one, but great as far as sequels go--and I managed to mooch a manga off my dad. ^_~ I've actually gotten three mangas since the last time I posted; Gravitation vols 2 and 3, and a new series called Cafe Kichijouji de. Heheh, here, I scanned the cover: It's very cute, and I really love the art style. It's one of those 'so-ridiculous-it's-funny' type things. All of the character's personalities are exaggerated and they all conflict a bit. It's almost like a male version of Love Hina, except that there's no bath scenes, and there isn't a female protagonist driving the boys crazy. ^^ My favorite character would have to be Minagawa. He's the token creepy guy who's into all the voodoo stuff and is constantly scaring/teasing his co-workers. Here's a pic of him--scanned in by me, lol. Oh! And I finally got to see Meine Liebe a couple of days ago! Eeeeee! I loved it! It was a drama, which I'm not usually into, but it was really well done, and the characters were sooo cool! Here's a pic! My favorite characters were Camus--top middle, wearing red--and Eduard--bottom right, wearing dark blue. In fact, I have fanart of Eduard! His skin tone was the hardest to get, but I'm quite pleased with it, as well as his hair. Wheee! Edo! I also have a fanart of a fairy I did for my friend. I submitted it first, so just click 'previous picture' to look at it, neh? Votes and comments would be much appriciated, and are rewarded with chocolate cream pie. ^_^ Hnn, well I'm getting really distracted because my brother got Kingdom Hearts 2 today and is playing it, so I'll wrap this up.
