Nnnnnggggghhhhh. . . . . .
Time of Post: 10:00 PM(MT)
Current Gundam Mood:
Tskaremashta. (I'm tired)
Sorry I haven't been here for a while, but I've had a really tough weekend. It's not even me that's having problems. My brother had a panic attack last week, and he's been a little out of it ever since. . . I think I mentioned a while back that he's had some problems with anxiety in the past. Well they came back full force, and he's been moping around really badly over the past few days. I've been so busy trying to cheer him up I haven't really had time for anything else. I've been walking on eggshells, avoiding doing or saying anything to depress him further, and I'm just tired.
Today is the first time he's gone back to work, and it was a little odd to have the house to myself for a few hours. . . I got some drawing done, and that cheered me up a bit, but I still feel really stressed.
Another thing that cheered me up a bit was an email I got from Jerry today. I'll keep it to myself for now, but I may have some very good news in the near future. ^_~ Of course, I'd better not get my hopes up too high, huh? We all remember what happened last time. . .
Sorry this wasn't a very good post. -_-"
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
None today, but I do have a new fanart. I did say I drew earlier, didn't I?
Heheh, I wanted something cute and fun to cheer me up and this is what came out. I'm particularly happy with his outfit--which is really good because that's what I was focusing on the most.

One more day!!!
Time of Post: 10:00 PM(MT)
Current Gundam Mood:
Devilishly happy!
Ah, I have school tomorrow (Thursday) and then I'm free for Spring Break! *cheers* And the best part is, I think I'll only have English homework--and even then, only a little of it. Yay!! Freedom, oh sweet freedom. ^_^
Ha, I've discovered a new way to tease my friend. You see, he absolutely hates Garaa from Naruto, and I'm the exact opposite. I adore him! So we spent the better part of first hour arguing over my necklace. Eventually I changed the subject by singing a song he hates--Shimpanai Oneesan from Bleach. I don't know why, but that song irritates the hell out of him. I remember the first time he heard it; we were listening to my mp3 player, and that song came on, and his initial reaction was like "What the hell is this?!" Eventually it came down to "GAAA! MY EARS!! TURN IT OFF!!" *laughs* I love that song, personally, but I guess its the silliness that bothers him. So now I can win any argument just by singing the chorus, because he immediately forgets the argument in favor of making me shut up. *evil grin*
Ano, well I have new art today! I started this one at school, stretching over two class periods. I did the sketch, inking, and skin-tone during art class, then the hair and ears in Spanish after I'd finished my work. As a consequence of using the school's pencils, the color is kinda grainy. However, I did try to touch everything up when I got home and had access to my prismacolors. I think it ended up looking alright. ^_^
Anyway, I just have to mention that the color ended up looking totally different than I'd originally planned because my friend, Alex, insisted on helping me color. He's the one that chose the color of the ears--which kinda set the tone for the whole picture. Kudos to him for causing me to choose a color combination that I probably wouldn't have chosen on my own. ^_~
Woo, green!
Ha, and yes, I totally stole the thumbnail idea from ElvesAteMyRamen. Gomen! *bows to the much more talented artist* It's just such a good idea!
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Heheh, I've had a thing for curly hair lately. ^_^

Heehee
Time of Post: 10:38 PM(MT)
Current Gundam Mood:
Mmm, happy. ^_^
Glad you guys liked the pictures yesterday! I've got more, but I'll save those for later. *grins*
Well, I got finally got around to watching Akira today. I liked it a lot! While the animation wasn't exactly 'pretty' persay, it was really fluid and well done. Also, I really enjoyed the plot--and the ending was fine. I don't know what my brother was pitching so much of a fit over. Of course, he does that a lot, so I should just learn to judge when he's really right about things like that.
Ah, I forgot to mention what my brother got yesterday! First off, he got Vic Mignogna's autograph on a FMA watch he bought. For those who don't know, Vic Mignogna is the one who played Edward Elric's English voice--he's also played lots of other voices, but that's his most famous. I saw him while we were browsing around in the dealer's room, and I leaned over to my brother and went "Hey, I hope you have something to sign." Now, ya gotta understand that my dear brother had been raving for days that he was gonna get Mr. Mignogna's autograph and maybe a picture. So, when I pointed him out, and Scott realised he not only didn't have a pen, but didn't even have paper to sign, he nearly had a coronary. He rushed over to the table selling watches and pendants, bought a watch that mimics the pocket watches that state alchemists have, then ran over and got his autograph. I was giggling like crazy when he got back because he was so star-struck that he was shaking! XD He was just like "OMG! I just got Vic Mignogna's signature! VIC MIGNOGNA!!! *snickers* I don't think I've ever seen him act like that before.
Anyway, other than his precious autographed watch, Scooty also got two cds (L'Arc~en~Ciel: Smile!, and The Inuyasha Theme Song Collection--I've already kidnapped them both and put my favorite songs on my mp3 player, lol), two dvds (Tenjho Tenge vol 3, and All Purpose Cat Girl Nuku Nuku vol 2) two posters (Bleach and Naruto just like me, but different posters of course) and two mangas. . . though I'm not sure which of those he got. . . hey, it seems he got two of everything except the watch. Hnn, I didn't notice that before.
Ano, well I better save the rest for tomorrow, since the pictures I'll be posting then have more to do with what I'm going to talk about.
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Heheh, again, none, but instead I'll post those pictures I promised at the beginning of the post. What I was attempting to do here was take a good picture of myself wearing the Naruto headband--you know, so that you can actually see the thing. I was sort of successful. Key words being 'sort of'. ^_^"
First, I tried wearing it like Sakura does--which is how I wore it at the con--and just leaning my head forward. . . . and well, as you can see here. . .
. . . it didn't exactly work. Next to the picture I have of myself in that Inuyasha hat, that has got to be the weirdest face I've made in a picture.
Next I tried putting it to the side and pulling a pose.
Heh, still not quite working. . .
So finally I just said screw it and did this:
Haha, I am such a dork! XD
Tomorrow I'll be posting pictures of the various items I bought. . . without me wearing them! XD

WOOHOO!!!
Time of Post: 10:00 PM(MT)
Current Gundam Mood:
I'm soooo happy!!!!! ^____________^
Heehee, me in all my con glory! Ahh, I totally blew fifty bucks today at Anime Oasis, and I loved every minute of it! Anyway, I got the Naruto headband for the Hidden Mist Village--aka Haku and Zabuza's headband, and I'm wearing it there, though you can hardly see it. I wanted Gaara's, but they were out. I did get a necklace with Gaara on it though! My total haul would include; two posters (one Bleach, one Naruto--I'll take pictures of them later) my headband, my Gaara necklace, two mangas (Saiyuki vol 7 and Hellsing vol 5) and a pin that says "Glomp Me". I am a happy fangirl!
Ahh, I think my favorite part of the con--besides the merchandise--was definitely the cosplayers. Scooty and I took tons of pictures of the cosplayers. Some were really good, others. . . weren't. But I won't make you look at the crappy ones! I'll just post all of my favorites! ^_^
First, the token Naruto cosplayer.
Next, Sanzo from Saiyuki.
Auron from FFX.
From various FF games, the Dark Mage (this guy was hilarious!)
Ahh, and the last three are my personal favorites!
Tohru and Uo-chan from Fruits Basket.
Cloud from Final Fantasy: Advent Children--really good one!
And, last but not least, my overall favorite, Alucard from Hellsing.
^_____^ Other than the cosplayers, another highlight was a little concert by Lisa Furukawa Ray. She sung some of her own songs, along with several anime themes--"Wind" from Naruto, the first ending of Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex--can't remember the title of that one!>_<--"1000 Words" from FFX, "Simple and Clean" from Kingdom Hearts, and "Every Heart" from Inuyasha. She had a really good voice, and played the piano beautifully.
Nya, well I'll stop babbling. If you didn't see yesterday's post, be sure and check it out, na no da!
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
None today--what, you think I'd make you look at a sketch after all those cosplay pictures?!

Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow!
Time of Post: 12:41 AM(MT)
Current Gundam Mood:
Tired but excited.
Woohoo! Anime Oasis is tomorrow!! *squirms* Wish me luck with my day of total anime bliss! ^_~
Anyways, in other news, Lordsesshomaru just held The 2nd Annual World Anime Championship Tournament, and for the second year in a row, the one and only Sesshomaru won! Last year, if anyone remembers, I did a pic of the victor, and this year I figured I'd do it again. ^_^
V For Victory! Nya!
Heheh, I had fun with this one--though it took a lot longer than I expected to finish it. That's actually why I'm posting so much later than usual. ^_^" Anyway, on to the explanation! I just wanted to mention that there were a lot more shadows in Sessh's hair, but my scanner has this thing with not picking up light grays, so a lot of them didn't show up. Also, I know the trophy is weird, but I didn't have the patience to find a way to fix it. -_-" So anyway, votes and comments and such, if ya don't mind!
Feh, my day was boring today. I slept in until 2, then the only reason I left the house was to rent videos with my dad. We splurged and got quite a few; Just Friends, The Corpse Bride, Walace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Elisabethtown, and Akira. I've already seen The Corpse Bride, but I don't mind watching it again, Walace and Gromit was cute and got a few chuckles, and Just Friends was hilarious! Ah, I love Ryan Reynolds! He cracks me up!
All that leaves is Elisabethtown and Akira. You know, I'm the only one in my family who hasn't seen Akira. My brother keeps warning me that the ending sucked, but I'm reserving jugdement until I've seen it for myself. Anyone else seen it?
Ah, and that's it from me! I gots ta get me sleep for the con tomorrow!
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Haha, I actually remember the exact date I did this one, even though it's not labeled. It was on the 4th of July last year. I remember because we were waiting for the fireworks display with one of my mom's friends, and I had my notebook, and my mom urged me to show her friend that I could draw. So I did, and she liked it, but wasn't as impressed as I would've hoped considering I did that in pen. But ah well, can't expect everyone to like my stuff, now can I?

Curse you, spysweeper!
Time of Post: 10:10 PM(MT)
Current Gundam Mood:
Finally, it is resolved!
First off, I was wrong about having fixed the computer. *grumbles* I think I was only able to visit one person yesterday before the damned thing froze again.(I'll visit everyone I missed once I'm done here) I bugged my brother as soon as he got home to fix it--considering it was his fault in the first place--and he ended up uninstalling the whole thing, and now the computer works just fine. And! We still have our other anti-virus stuff that actually works to protect things. I'm so happy! I have my comp back! ^___^
Ah other than the computer drama yesterday, I had three tests. THREE! Art, Spanish, and Geometry. The art test was ridiculously easy, the Spanish test was. . . well I got a B, but it was still really hard, and the Geometry test was alright. I won't know how I did until next week. I had another test today, English this time. I think I did okay, but once again I won't know until next week.
Anyway, Happy St. Patrick's Day! Yes, yes, I'm a day behind and all that, I know. If you haven't seen my St. Patty's Day pic that I did a while ago, here's a link to it. Jiro decked out in green! Heheh, my mom said that she posted a copy of this on the bulletin board at her work, and several of her co-workers recognized that it was mine, and that they liked it a lot. ^_^ Nice to know my work is appriciated!
So, all week I've been waiting for St. Patrick's Day, I had a planned outfit, and other fun things in my mind to do. . . but then, I overslept this morning and completely forgot about all of it! >_< I'd even planned to post this morning if I could get the computer to cooperate long enough, but, *sighs dramatically* I was reading--still loving my book by the way--last night and forgot to set my alarm, so all of my plans went down the toilet. Ah well, at least I didn't get pinched for not wearing green, neh? ^_~
In comic news, I have not made any progress whatsoever! *bows* Heheh, my excuse is that, as I said, I stayed up late reading last night, and I was very tired today, sooo, I took a nap this afternoon instead of doing anything even remotely productive. I actually slept a lot longer than I meant to. I nodded off around 4 or so, and didn't arise again until my mom got home from work and woke me up at 7. Guess who's gonna be hyper all night! O_o
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
This one is actually pretty old, but I thought I'd post it anyway. It's Atsuko, in a slightly different style than I usually do.

Ack!
Time of Post: 10:03 PM(MT)
Current Gundam Mood:
Distracted.
Okay, I figured out why my computer was freezing every hour or so (yeah, within ten minutes of me posting yesterday, it died again) and it turns out its because my brother tried to install some anti-spyware software, and it didn't install properly on my login, so it was screwing everything else up. Once again I think I've got everything fixed, but I'm not gonna let my guard down until I'm certain.
Well, my comic is coming along nicely. I now have five pages sketched out, and plenty more coming! I've decided that I'm not going to ink it until all of the sketches are done though. I've found that if I try to ink anything in a comic ahead of the other pages, I always find something I want to change on that page. Isn't that how the world always works? You don't see a mistake until it's too late to fix it.
Ah, and I'm out of things to talk about!
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Ahh, this is one of my messier pages. Notice the three different pen colors, various edits, and, of course, the doodles on the side. Just another peek into my odd little brain. ^_~

My Poor Computer!
Time of Post: 10:45 PM(MT)
Current Gundam Mood:
Feeling better.
Once again, my computer had a heart attack. It went into cardiac arrest for an hour or so, but it seems to be behaving itself. . . for now. *sweatdrop*
Anyway, I started a new book today. It's the sequel of sorts to 'Interview With the Vampire', and is entitled 'The Vampire Lestat'. I say its a sequel of sorts, because it was written nearly ten years after the first book, and it is told from Lestat's point of view, rather than Louis's. So far I don't think it's even going to have much to do with Louis at all. I don't mind though; I enjoy Lestat's narrative as well. He tends to be sarcastic, as well as arrogant and overly self-confident in a way that gives you the feeling that he does it to cover up how insecure he really is. The book is a good read so far. ^_^ I'll mention it again when I'm finished. . . or if it takes up a whole day like the first one did, lol.
In other news, I heard from a friend of mine that I haven't seen in quite a while. I have a complicated relationship with her, so I'm not quite sure if I'm glad that she's back or not yet. You see, we've known eachother since we were both four, and we were close friends for a long time, but lots of things have happened to her (rough family life, losing her mother, bouncing around from family to family, etc.) and I'm not quite comfortable around her anymore. I still like her and want to be friends, but I don't know how to act, and she makes me nervous. I have hope though, because we talked on the phone earlier today, and she sounded better than she has in a long time. I guess some time in North Carolina with her other relatives did her some good, neh?
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
I'm doing something a little different today. I thought I'd give a peek into the way I write. As you can see, I doodle in the margins--usually something to do with the story--and I tend to use odd pen colors like green or red or even pink once. Believe it or not, this is one of my neater pages as far as mistakes go. Tomorrow I'll post a page where I've done some heavy editing and re-writing.

Just a Few More Days!!
Time of Post: 10:00 PM(MT)
Current Gundam Mood:
Daydreaming. . .
And Charlie the horse is officially gone. I'm just thankful they came and got him before I got home. I was dreading having to be the one to supervise that gruesome task--neither of my parents are home during the day--but luckily they got there around 1 when my brother was still home, so he got to handle it. *big dramatic sigh* At least my mom is doing better.
Ah, and my kitten is home already. She went in this morning around 8:30 or so, and got home around 4-ish in the afternoon. She looks so funny with her shaved belly and ginger walking! XD She's still a little loopy from the medication, but not nearly as bad as when she first got home. Paranoid was an understatement for her behavior this afternoon. Now she's being all snuggly and cute again. . . but if you go anywhere near her belly, she growls and limps away. Poor thing! *pets Kiko gently*
You know what? Anime Oasis, the only anime convention in Idaho, is this weekend! I've gone without manga for nearly five weeks saving up for this! (That means I'll have $50 to spend, plus whatever I can get my brother to lend me) Problem is, my brother works both Friday and Saturday, so if I wanna go with him, I'm gonna have to go on Sunday. Feh. Oh well, at least I'll actually get to go this year, neh? ^_^
Random Notebook Scan of the Day:
Hmmm, this is the second most upset I've ever drawn Takuya. The other one of him--which started out as a major project, but was never finished--featured him crying in the rain with a helpless look on his face. Unfortunately, I dropped it after the third failed attempt. -_-"
