Feeling better.

Once again, my computer had a heart attack. It went into cardiac arrest for an hour or so, but it seems to be behaving itself. . . for now. *sweatdrop*

Anyway, I started a new book today. It's the sequel of sorts to 'Interview With the Vampire', and is entitled 'The Vampire Lestat'. I say its a sequel of sorts, because it was written nearly ten years after the first book, and it is told from Lestat's point of view, rather than Louis's. So far I don't think it's even going to have much to do with Louis at all. I don't mind though; I enjoy Lestat's narrative as well. He tends to be sarcastic, as well as arrogant and overly self-confident in a way that gives you the feeling that he does it to cover up how insecure he really is. The book is a good read so far. ^_^ I'll mention it again when I'm finished. . . or if it takes up a whole day like the first one did, lol.

In other news, I heard from a friend of mine that I haven't seen in quite a while. I have a complicated relationship with her, so I'm not quite sure if I'm glad that she's back or not yet. You see, we've known eachother since we were both four, and we were close friends for a long time, but lots of things have happened to her (rough family life, losing her mother, bouncing around from family to family, etc.) and I'm not quite comfortable around her anymore. I still like her and want to be friends, but I don't know how to act, and she makes me nervous. I have hope though, because we talked on the phone earlier today, and she sounded better than she has in a long time. I guess some time in North Carolina with her other relatives did her some good, neh?

I'm doing something a little different today. I thought I'd give a peek into the way I write. As you can see, I doodle in the margins--usually something to do with the story--and I tend to use odd pen colors like green or red or even pink once. Believe it or not, this is one of my neater pages as far as mistakes go. Tomorrow I'll post a page where I've done some heavy editing and re-writing.

Oyasumi!
