   poem
this is a poem that I wrote. I like it and I hope that everyone else who reads it will too.

Darkness is a virtue
Darkness is a sin
Darkness is what I hold inside
Where no one else can see

Shadows follow everywhere
Shadows are all I can see
Shadows of who you were
And shadows of what was meant to be

Shadows and darkness fill my soul
Light and hope are gone
When darkness is all you feel inside
You let anger take control

If light is lacking or simply gone
Remember the times before
When light was abundant and never taken care
Before the shadows crossed the wall

Simple is, as simple does
As light comes in many shades
But darkness comes as one

Think of when they weren’t there
When life was full of joy
Imagine the time ahead
Full of dreams and light

Try to get through these dark times
That no one else can see
And give yourself the hope of life
Although darkness is all you see
