Craftworld Miel'sha - chapter XII
ok, this is the second last chapter!
The blue mist took the form of a person, but not just any person...no, it took the form of a very tall, slender Eldar.
"Why have you all intruded in this holy place?" demanded the spirit in a booming voice.
"We found a map saying that there was an artifact, possibly Eldar, buried here." said Al'thae.
"Indeed you are correct." replied the spirit.
"The artifact buried here is indeed Eldar, and i am its keeper."
"Then will you allow us to pass?"
"Only you may pass, but the others shall remain here."
"Why must they stay here!? They are my friends, and I shall not abandon them!"
"You must listen to me..." said the spirit.
"I see a very bright future for you, and you must retrieve this artifact if you hope to save the lives of an entire Craftworld."
"What do you mean?"
"Everything will explain itself soon, but now you must follow me, and your friends shall remain here."
"Very well then...I'll be back once I get this artifact!"
And then the two disapeared into the shadows.
"Well, this has been a most interesting day..." said Shiek.
"Sooo, we just wait here then?"
"Looks like it."
Once a few minutes had passed, they could here voices and footsteps racing down the cavern.
"Oh crap... everybody, get in firing positions!"
Al'thae and the spirit continued to walk slowly deeper into the cave. They came to a suspended platform, and the spirit told Al'thae to get on. The platform rode down, and after a few minutes of riding it, it came to a stop at in front of what appeared to be an Eldar cathederal. There was a long marble walkway leading to the front door, and lined on the left and right of this walkway were dozens of pure crystal trees.
"These trees, who carved these?" asked Al'thae.
"They were not carved, they were great Farseers once."
"How can that be?"
"Once a Farseer becomes very old, many, many thousands of years old, they go to a sacred place in their Craftworld. There, there are many crystal trees like these, and the Farseer takes his place, and over a course of a fe hours, he becomes one of these crystal tees."
"I have never heard of this before. And if Farseers do thison their Craftworld, then why are they here?"
"Because this planet used to be ruled by the Eldar before the times of the Fall."
"Oh, I see." said Al'thae in an amazed voice. They came up to the front doors of the cathederal, and they slowly opened up.
At the very end of the Cathederal was a mantle piece. Al'thae walked up to it, and resting on top was a beautiful black sword.
"It is hand-carved black wraithbone, very rare and powerful." explained the spirit. Al'thae picked it up, and the sword immediatly started to crackel with blue and white energies.
"The sword has accepted you, for if it didn't, you'd already be dead."
"But, why me?"
"Al'thae, you have a very special gift that is extremely uncommon in most other Eldar. You have the potential to be a great farseer."
"I do?"
"Indeed you do. Now, take the sword. We must go assist your friends."
Next chapter will be the very last!
There's gonna be tons of blood, gore and stuff! I still need to think of a good ending though. |
