TV family
I thought of this post while chatting with Iggy tonight. I was at a loss...then I had an epiphony. Did I spell that right?
The Family Unit...
In America, the family is a hard thing to define. Is that Just an American Phenomeon?Or is it a modern phenom? It used to be a mother, a father and a number of children, maybe a dog...Now a family can be any number of organized grouping of people... which is fine...great even! One of the most common types of families the media harps on right now is the "broken Family"
I do not have a broken family, and that is what I want to talk about. My family is about as functional as it gets. My parent's just celebrated their 30th weddign anniversary this year. That's an amazing feat these days it seems... and they still love each other... you can tell just to watch them stal kisses and such... The 11 year old in me is stil "ewwww, gross," at those. heh
My siblings and I fought all through childhood, but that's normal.Now we all get along really well. We're all pretty smart too, which is hard to live up to all the time, and John is smarter than me... I hate him.
Anyway...my family is often refferred to as a TV family. It's true, I can't deny it. I am really happy about it, don't get me wrong... REALLY happy, but sometimes I can't help but feel like a minority anymore...all my friend's parent's hate each other... stupidity in my head again...
So... I don't know where this post was going...i thought I might make some social commentary on the state of "the family" but it has left my head at this point...

Subjects? Who needs subjects?
Someone threw up on me at the bar last night...gross. So I was home early. Lindsay came home around 2 and I could hear her throwing up in the bathroom. Gross some more.
At least it made for a cheap night...but I have to get my only winter coat dry cleaned. grrrr...or maybe just brrrrrr
I am off today, so I am going to find something fun and interesting to do... I am going to go to the gym...I need to! Thinking of the gym makes me hungry...Is that supposed to happen?
SG--I looked at that link you commented on Shanny's page--I always thought so, but you proved it!!!!!! Good for you!

I didn't mean to freak you out, Red...
My taste in movies is a little weird...
Today was good...I went to work, and then I came home and watched movies...and just my two cents here, Guy Pearce is my favorite Americanized Australian...even more than Hugh Jackman or Russel Crow or Heath Ledger...Naomi Watts has nothing on him. Pearce surpasses them all, Even better than Kidman!!! Take that Nicole! Rachel Griffiths, I like her too... She can stand with Guy... Gibson you say? Yeah, everyone loves Mel, but he was born in New Jersey, so he is an Australianized American.
I am going out tonight, kids, and I am going to be intoxicated...It doesn't happen very often anymore. I'm really tired though, it may be an early night for me...

I'm cleaning the house a bit today before I go to work at five... Not a lot going on around here otherwise. The snow is almost gone now, darn sun.

Molly's night of snowed in goodness...
It rained all morning, and then it froze and snowed about an inch on top of that... Boo, ice.
So, I brought home movies and pizza and Lindsay and I are just staying home and chilling... It's cold as hell outside and there's wind like you wouldn't believe unless you lived in Kansas. It stopped snowing already though, and it is no where near the 4 inches they promised me. Boo weathermen!
So, since the weather was bad it was hellatiously (sp?) busy at work today, and it was just a mess. I still managed to have a good day though...and it's payday!!!!
Well, kids, have a good night!

 hmmm
Seems liek a lot of posting for one day, huh?
Well, IT'S NOT!!! Hehe. It's just I've had a really good day now, and I want to write about it.
So, I went to bed around 6 am after work last night and being so angry...I got up about noon-ish. I got on-line and talked to Beck, it's good to have you back. I also talked to Iggy, which is always fun! I went to lunch with a bunch of friends, mostly due to the fact that Kyle was in town. I miss him, and I don't want him to move to TX or CA...but he really wants to go.
So, I went to lunch and that's really theonly major thing I did. I talked to Sarah for a long time on the hone... I haven't talked to her in forever. Yea, communication!!! I've been working on Christmas cards a lot today and i am basically done, except like 10 or so... YEA!!!! I am felling really good right now, probably because I'm not at work today.
