::MONDAY, APRIL 7th 2008:: {Moi?} ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ ::into the new spring:: The new Spring Term began with my return from the Sakura-con anime convention up in Seattle, WA. *^_^* I was rather disappointed with the special guests this year, BUT coming to the convention with E-chan and her relatives made it a worthwhile trip ^_^ Overall, the convention was fun! I enjoyed interacting other Gintama cosplayers, and briefly meeting up with the other MyOtaku members like someguy and panda. Though, I do wish that I was able to spend a bit more time with them like I did last year ^^;; Next year, perhaps ^_^ lol!! Anyways, I have posted some pictures from the convention over at my Live Journal account. ::TUESDAY, March 25st 2008:: {Moi?} ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ ::gintama:: The group that I am coming along with to Sakura Con are from the manga/anime series called Gintama. The funny thing about us is that none of us are going as the three main characters of the series ^^;; We are all the supportive characters, hahaha!! Here is information about the series, Gintama *^_^* And here are the characters [myself and friends] who will be attending this coming convention: from the Joi Faction will be Katsura [me], Elizabeth [my stuffed companion] and Takasugi [my friend's brother]. from the Shinsengumi will be Hijikata [my friend] and Okita [my friend's cousin]. And that's it! *^_^* It should be a fun time. Oh, btw, here is a picture of my newly sewed costumes. Yes. I made it *^_^* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

::FRIDAY, March 21st 2008:: {Moi?} ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ ::bleh!:: *_* my final exams are finished! ^_^ Spring Break vacation is here! ^^;; must work to get money. >_> still tired from lack of sleep. ^_^ yes, i am definitely attending Sakura Con. >_> boo, i am disappointed by the lack of interesting 'special guests' this year at Sakura Con. very, very disappointed. ^_^ yay, i will be cos-playing as a different character this time. *^_^* i even went the extra mile and sewed my own costume! *^_^* myself, school buddy, school buddy's brother, school buddy's cousin, and school buddy's cousin's friend will all be cosplaying from the same series. *^_^* and the series is... dum, dum, dum... to be continued, lol!!! *heads to bed for work tomorrow* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

::SATURDAY, March 15th 2008:: {Moi?} ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ ::meh:: Parking and speeding tickets within one week of each other ^^;; Such, were the items of my luck as a driver =_= I shall complain, no more! Hahaha!!! Besides that, last week was okay. It could have been better, but I some how survived my projects and oral exam ^^;; I also found out that my sister was accepted into the two Universities of choice that she applied to, yay!!! And then, of course, I forgot to mention that I was able to play the newly released Super Smash Bros Brawl. LOL!!! My lil bro dragged me out of bed early Sunday morning just so he could purchase the game. And yes, I played with him for a bit. It was quite fun *^_^* I didn't have much time to play as all the characters yet. I mainly played as Wario. I really really wanted to play as Snake but his character wasn't unlocked before I had to leave ^^;; Ahh...I love Snake. That guy seriously cracks me up - hahaha! And I think it's a totally hilarious concept to include Snake, the seriou mercenary, in a melee of various Nintendo characters, LOL!!! Some people may think it's lame, but I think it's pretty awesome. Especially Snake's final smash in which is hangs from a helicopter and starts firing grenades from his launcher guns at all the other Nintendo characters! Seriously, hilarious!! ::MONDAY, February 25th 2008:: {Moi?} ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ ::ahh, i see:: So a friend has enlightened me on the reason as to why I wan't able to make 'comments' on site. Apparently I need to 'sign-in' at both theOtaku and MyO ^^;; Interesting. I normally just 'sign-in' onto MyO, only. Eh. No biggie. *^_^* Comments shall resume after my next exam this Wednesday. The picture above? It's a doughnut: shaped like a voodoo doll, covered with chocolate, filled with raspberry, and staked in the chest by a pretzel stick, hahaha!!! I went to a doughnut shop called Voodoo Doughnut this past week. The shop is quite well known for their unique goods and style. Also to being a doughnut shop, they are also a wedding chapel since both the owners are ordained ministers ^^;; The interior is of a very emo and gothic design -- skulls, etc. *^_^* Anywho, I have been doing pretty well. School is still insane but managable. Anime watching has resumed, a bit. More swimming and more walking. Love it! And woo hoo, Spring Break will be in less than one month and that means...Sakura Con, yay!!! I am still waiting for more interesting guests to sign-up. Last year's guests were teh bomb!!! And by that, I am referring to my opportunity to meet, greet, and receive a personalized & autographed full page sketching from Hirano Kouta-san, the mangaka behind Hellsing. Ahh...good times *grins* NOTE: heh, I did NOT even realize that today is my 4-year aniversary of being on MyOtaku until I re-read this post. ^^;; I have no words... ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

::WEDNESDAY, February 6th 2008:: {Moi?} ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ ::comments:: bunraku - Yeah. Regulating my breathing while swimming is still a challenge for me, though I am improving. As for my moderation plan...it is indeed tough. Easier said than done ^^;; dramaqueen15460 - Thank you! And how have you been?? Ikyuu-Nyuu-Kon - Yep. I loove my dramas! The main challenge now is finding time to watch them...since exams are coming...nooooo!!!! enin - Swimming is an excellent skill to have. And it's never too late to learn *wink* Ahhh...were you able to check out any of the shows I listed? Le kun - Hmm...you should look for some coupons for Borders or B&N. Or, simply check out the book at the library. It is a worthwhile read *^_^* As for the swimming place, it's about a 5 minute drive from where I live. *^_^* Good stuff! ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ It's a bit sad. My laptop died a few weeks ago. It forced me to re-install my HD and every thing else. All my music, pictures, videos, and documents were wiped from existence. Very sad. *sighs* None-the-less, at LEAST my laptop is NOW alive and fully functional *^_^* As for the rest of the multimedia things, I will simply have to rebuild my collections from scratch. I shall think of it as...a new beginning, hahaha!!! Anyways, exams are coming soon - next week to be exact. Two of them. Plus some assignments that are due =_= Eh. Other than that, life is good. Oh, and here's a screenshot of my current desktop wallpaper. I posted this in a different forum earlier, but I'd still like to share it here. *^_^* Who are the boys? ::FRIDAY, January 18th 2008:: {Moi?} ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ My goodness. Friday, already? ^^;; No complaints from me, hahaha! This post shall be a quickie today *^_^* - The above picture is from a novel I just finished reading, called Twilight . What's the story about? Google it. And be prepared to see the movie coming out either the very end of 2008 or beginning of 2009 *grins* - Happy belated birthday, butthead! My brother just turned 20 years old as of yesterday. That booger is now TWO decades old. Hahaha!!! - I went for an evening swim the other night. Loved it. Sadly, the older guy next to me felt that he was obligated to enlighten me on the correct dynamics of swimming and it's form ^^;; I felt embarrassed but also appreciative of his advice since I'm still a newbie *^_^* - Gah! I am hopelessly addicted to watching my Asian dramas. Love them! Although...I need to learn how to watch them in moderation otherwise I'll be in doo-doo ^^;; And that's it for now. ::SATURDAY, January 12th 2008:: {Moi?} ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Wow. We're already half way through January? Fast. Hahaha ^^;; So, what's new with me? Good question. ::back to school:: I have just finished my first week of coming back to school. Classes are pretty the same except that I've switch my pharmacy lab day from Tuesday to Thursday...and I like it! I'm also taking a new class called Pharmacoeconomics. It seems like it would be interesting, but for now we're stuck on very dry review of statistics and literature analysis. =_= ::woes of money:: Goodbye. Having paid numerous school loans, tuition bills, and health insurance for the past several years...I've finally been slapped with the reality that my finances aren't looking too well ^^;; Sucks, really. I guess...I can alleviate the situation by taking out more loans, but I refuse to become one of those individuals who spend their life paying off debts! I rather suffer once now, than suffer twice [or more] in the future, argh!!! ::some fun, at least:: Despite all those things I mentioned above, I still enjoy myself...I try to, hahaha ^^;; My anime watching has rapidly declined due to time constraints and that there really hasn't been anything interesting released in the past several seasons. Although...I am very much looking forward to the upcoming releases of Kyou Kara Maou! season three and Vampire Knight - mwuahahahaha!!! Manga. I still loooove reading and collecting them. The latter cost more, though, so I must control myself. ^^;; Oh, and speaking of which...it has been a long time since I posted a picture of my bookshelf. LOL!!! I should do it again since I think it's grown quite a bit, hahaha! I think I'm somewhere in the mid-600s, hahaha!!! Lastly, I have been addicted to playing Dance Dance Revolution. I don't care if I'm a few years behind the craze, but I still love it! I am currently trying to work myself up to Standard mode, and it's hard!!! All that jumping. That fast foot work *_* Man, I get sweaty! But that's a good thing too, LOL!!! ::all-in-all:: Hahaha! I think this post is long enough for today. So, I shall stop!
