Long Wednesday today, but Captain Planet is here!

Can you believe it? I introduced Captain Planet to my friend for the first time! LOL!

Click here for more information on Captain Planet – if you’re that curious. Still, it’s a pretty cool website!!!

P.S. If you look closely, you can also download the mp3 of the opening & credit theme. I highly suggest doing so if you're looking for a good laugh -- but it has to be BOTH the opening & credit. LOL!!!

Monkey Orange’s Tuesday at the Top
So my Tuesday [yesterday] turned out to be longer than normal, BUT very productive *^_^* I pulled myself together and sent out 3 emails to 3 very important people – thoughtfully written, too. Then, I took my drug quiz, prepared a drug information chart, studied a little bit for Friday’s exam, and prepared myself for today’s Pharmacy Practice lab [via answering a huge list of study questions that take forever ^^;;]. Afterwards, I topped it off by going out to dinner with my friend and her boyfriend to Izzy’s. Mmm…very satisfying *^_^* And then, I went home, watched some anime, and went to bed *^_^*

Monkey Orange vs. the Magazine Boy!
Get this! Monday evening I was on my way to the library, and then I suddenly found myself being lured into in corner by a random dude who wanted to me to take a survey. When I sat down on the steps, he started flattering me and eventually asked me to help him out by buying some magazines. First, he used flattery. It didn’t work. Then, he used sympathy. It didn’t work.

He asked me why I didn’t want to buy from him, and I was like, “You know, I’m a student right now and am dirt poor.” He was like, “Well, I sold 81 subscriptions today to students like yourself who were also dirt poor.” I was like, “Listen, I don’t want to waste your time anymore. I can’t buy your magazines. You said so yourself, you’ve already sold plenty of subscriptions today, so I’m sure you’ll survive without me *grin*.” And that was the end! I got up and left. Geez, before I can support you, dude, I gotta support myself first! ^^;;

Monkey Orange’s friend: avery strong individual
When I returned from Spring Break, I noticed that my friend was not acting like herself. She’s normally very, very cheerful. However, when I saw her she seemed depressed, and just putting on a smile. She didn’t tell me why, so I didn’t pry. Well, today she finally told me, and I was shocked! I was also sad about what she went through, but happy that she made it though. But…still kinda sad, because she endured it by herself. I will not say the specifics, but it has to do with the toughest decision that any young woman has to make. And on top that, she’s currently ill with a flu-like virus, and has to be later tested for potential cancer. *sniffles & hugs her friend* I would probably be insane by now ^^;;

Anime
OMG!!! => My reaction on Tuesday, as I saw the release of Kyou Kara Maou! 35-39 on fansub. It’s about time! I was SERIOUSLY afraid that AnimeOne stopped subbing this show because it had been quite a while since the last release. Phew! Happy! This show is getting SO good *^_^* I ended up taking a peek at episode 35, and was shocked! Simply surprised! Ahh, so maybe THAT’s why they waited – so that the viewers won’t be dying of suspense ^^;;

Good stuff! Monkey Orange is happy *^_^*

baka, Monkey Orange! *cough, cough, cough!*
So even though I went to the doctor’s on Friday, and was prescribed super cough-suppressing pills that actually worked, I was stupid enough to have left them behind at home before I returned to campus ^^;; And therefore, I still cough (>_<). A total baka, indeed!

This is Mr. Yuk! Do you recognize him? Well, if you ever see his sticker on ANY containers, then be sure to stay away from it!

[Mr. Yuk stickers are usually placed onto dangerous and poisonous household items]

Monkey Orange & Mr. Yuk
We had committee elections yesterday for the various student activities within the Pharmacy School. I decided to run for the position as the chair of the Mr. Yuk outreach program [for kids]– and won! *^_^* Yep, Monkey Orange will now be working with Mr. Yuk!

Anime
I watched Loveless and thought it was…okay, for now. The first episode left me feeling a bit confused and mediocre at the end. The seiyuu who voices Ritsuka is the same person who voices Ryoma [Prince of Tennis] – which is a difficult and odd transition. Weird.

But besides the confusion of the story, the thing that bothered me the most was the fact that Ritsuka is only in 6th grade [right? At least that’s what I read from the subbing], while Soubi is definitely older. I mean, I like shounen-ai, but so far this is kinda borderline pedophilic. ^^;; Eh. I’ll give it a few more episodes. Maybe there’s more than meets the eye ^^;;

I also downloaded Tsubasa Chronicle, which was released on Monday. To be honest, the only CLAMP stuff I’m familiar with is X and Legal Drug. I never really watched Card Captor Sakura -- well that’s not true. I’ve seen a few episodes a LONG time ago, and liked it!

Back to the topic…this series is pretty much a spin-off of CCS, but set in an alternative reality. So far, so good! I like it! Although I am not very familiar with al of CLAMP’s other stories, I was able to recognize a good handful of their cross-over characters, like Chii from Chobits and the two main characters from XXXHolic. I have decided to definitely keep watching this keep. Teehee! I also read that there will be a crossover with some characters from X -- how fun!

Lastly, I have decided to give in and to start watching Bleach -- which I’ve been reading around, is SO good. Nah! I’ve seen the first episode a few months ago, and also liked. Yep, I shall continue to watch Bleach *runs off to download episode 2*

Hi guys! Overall, I had a pretty good weekend AND I actually studied! *^_^*

Weekend Highlights
Friday [actually] – I finally went to the doctors about my 1-month old, dry cough problem and was prescribed some super cough suppressing pills. Simply to put it, the pills worked and I’m getting better *^_^*

Saturday – Hung out with my sister *^_^* We went to Borders and noticed that they were having a “Buy 2 manga, Get 1 manga free.” Excellent. I ended up buying Hana Kimi 5, Angel Sanctuary 7and Sensual Phrase 1. The latter manga is a new series that I am beginning – romantic smut, excellent! And speaking of new series, I am also starting to download a new anime series that’s just been released on fansub, called Loveless -- a pretty cute and funny shounen-ai series, from what I’ve heard.

Sunday – Studied, wow! Amazing, I know ^^;; My mom also bought me a new microwave, since I was banished from using the other one in my complex [evil, bitchy housemate!]. And lastly, I got to watch a pretty surprising and enjoyable episode of One Piece.

Anime: One Piece
I watched One Piece 94, and…and Luffy has a brother – and his name is Ace! *^_^* Here are some screenshots I made because I was SO excited!

The story, so far:
The Luffy-crew has finally landed on Arabasta – Vivi’s home. Their mission is to help Vivi calm the rebellion in her country and to kick Crocodile’s ass [along with his numerous associates]. But little did Luffy know that Captain Smoker, of the Marines, have been hot on his trail ever since he made it though the entrance to the Grand Line.

And here I begin, the second encounter between Luffy and Captain Smoker, and the reunion between the brothers *^_^*

Caption reads, from Smoker: I’ve been looking for you, Straw Hat.
The reason why Luffy’s cheek is expanded is because he’s gorging himself with food ^^;;

THEN, Luffy runs & dodges Smoker’s attacks until…

…this dude shows up! The flames from his body went to neutralize Smoker’s attack on Luffy.

Luffy is surprised. Is that guy…really who he thinks he is?

AND, the guy turns around to the Luffy-crew and tells them…

Caption reads, from Ace: I’ll catch up later! You guys run for it.

AFTER, Smoker has acknowledged this interference, he turns to Ace and asks…

Caption reads, from Smoker: Why did you help Straw Hat?

Caption reads, from Ace: Having a younger brother who’s a bit on the slow side makes his older brother worried.

FINALLY, as the Luffy-crew are running back to the ship, they ask Luffy “Who was that guy?” Luffy then happily laughs, and responds by saying…

Caption reads, from Luffy: He’s my bother!

ENDING: This episode leaves off with a STANDOFF between Captain Smoker and Portgas D.
Ace! I so MUST watch this fight! But…I won’t get to until next weekend (>_<). Teehee, Ace!
Such brotherly love *^_^*

   Have a great weekend!

It's strange. I just got out of 4 straight hours of lecture and am suddenly hyper *^_^*

I've also decided that I am enjoying my professors this term. Although, this perception will probably change AFTER I've take their exams ^^;;

My Biochemistry professor reminds me of the type of guy I'd have as an uncle. Laid-back, chinese, and odd sense of humor.

My Pharmaceutics professor is just hilarious. BUT sadly, I am the ONLY person who thinks this way. My other colleagues think that he's an arrogant SOB - ^^;; He's a self-proclaimed 'King of Shortcuts' to equations - which is fine by me *^_^* And since his exam is next week, then his damn short-cuts better work!

And lastly, my Pharmacy Practice professor. Well, he's and old and frail man who SO reminds me of Mr. Rogers! Well, just try to imagine Mr. Rogers [you know, the sweatshirt and all] teaching you some pharmacy/biochemistry stuff. *^_^* Hey, I like Mr. Rogers *^_^*

And that's it for today! Gonna go home now for the weekend!

Enjoy!

*hugs*

   It really is amazing how much a good night’s rest can cure a foul mood *^_^*

Monkey Orange vs. Wednesday
Simply to put it, my Wednesday [yesterday] truly sucked (>_<). It was so bad that it drove me to the brink of tears in the end ^_^;;

First, my friend broke the news to me, that she may not be able to be my roommate, and thus I need to go find someone else. Then, I came home to prepare my dinner, only to have been approached my housemate who pretty much banished me from using her microwave. She’s like, “I don’t like sharing with other people. Go get your own!” Lastly, I went over to the café to study, and ended up studying alone in the corner because I felt that certain colleagues were being unfriendly and fake. *sighs* It was one bad thing after the other ^^;;

The only positive things that resulted from my horrid Wednesday was that I actually made pink sunscreen during Pharmacy Practice Lab *^_^* I think that next week, we’ll be making lip balm & suppositories. Ah yes, I also accomplished some studying – which is always a good thing *^_^*

Ever heard of the White Stripes?
The White Stripes is a music band, styled in the fashion of classic rock. Actually, I’ve only heard of 2 of their songs, but from that, I think that I really enjoy listening their music [mainly because I also like listening to classic rock, too]. Have you guys ever heard of them? I’m considering purchasing their CD, but do not know which is the good album. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated *^_^*

Anime Goodness
I confess to being a naughty girl ^^;; My batch download of One Piece 110-120 finished a few days ago and I…watched them [even though I am technically still at episode 90] ^^;; I couldn’t help it! I only wanted to watch 1 random episode, and ended up watching all 10! Oops! But it was SO good! I watched right in the middle of the Arabaster Arc climax – so good! Oh my gosh, the fighting, the action, the comedy. Hahaha! And I’ll say it again: I love this series!

Have a wonderful Thursday!
I’d like to thank those who you who commented on my Monday post. Reading your comments definitely cured my ‘Case of the Mondays.’

Office Space is truly a ‘must see’ movie *^_^*

Have a great Thursday, and a wonderful weekend! Thank you for stopping by!

*hugs*

EDIT
I am SO sad. Today, I learned that my beloved Prince of Tennis has finally ended in Japan at episode 178 -- which means that I have roughly 30 more episodes to watch until...it's truly over, for me. *sniffle*

   Ugh...I feel like I'm having a 'Case of the Mondays' [a reference from the movie, Office Space]

I love going home on the weekends *^_^* Of course, I did NOT get any school work done during that time, but hey…that’s what this week is for, right?

Gonna keep it brief today ‘cause I gotta get lunch before I die ^^;;

Kumagoro!!!
All I can say is, “It’s about damn time!!!” Do you have any idea how long and how hard I’ve been searching for this thing? ^^;; And in July…it shall finally become mine!

One Piece
Alrighty. After having started and finished watching the Drum Island arc over the weekend, I have definitely elevated this series to the position of being as one of the best anime series I’ve seen.

With that being said, what do I consider a good anime? Simple -- my pure enjoyment in watching the series, and a well-thought-out story as a WHOLE. On the surface, 1P appears very kiddy, which…it can be and IS totally fun to watch. BUT, I can assure you that the overall story of each arc is much more mature than you think.

*sniffle* The Drum Island arc was so sad, yet so good. But in the end, I’m glad to see that Chopper has now joined Luffy’s crew *^_^* Chopper is simply ADORABLE.

And lastly, the next arc to be watched is…the Arabaster arc…which was recently finished on fansub *^_^* Good stuff.

Tactics
Eh. This series isn’t that great, but the final episode was just released so I plan to wrap up this series tonight *^_^* I truly hope, though, that the rest of the manga story won’t such as much as the anime story ^^;;

And now, for my comments on the comments *^_^*

Panda: Unless I am dragged away on a family trip, I will DEFINITELY be going to Kumoricon in Portland! Yes, yes, yes! I now have a car, and hopefully more money by then. September, eh? How fun!!! Now, I just gotta remember ^^;; Also, get well soon, Panda *^_^*

TheMouse: I am currently watching One Piece, Kyou Kara Maou!, Prince of Tennis, Blue Seed, and Tactics. All of which, I enjoy watching very much [well, the latter is okay]. As for my degree, hmm…what WILL I do with it, indeed! You see, there’s just so many options. But truthfully, there are 3 options I am considering, as of now: a) Residency Program [not only will I be still doing pseudo-school work, but I’ll also be poor. BUT it’ll definitely make my resume look very attractive]. b) Retail Pharmacy [not the most exciting field in pharmacy, but it makes a ton of money] c) Compounding Pharmacy [all I know is that it’s pretty cool because you actually get to make the medicines!]. Yep, that’s about it! Also, for you, best of luck on your schoolwork, and come back to us soon! *^_^*

Blue Hawk: I’d love to play badminton with you, but…it’s just that I haven’t played in like…years! ^^;; Still, I shall NOT let that stop me *^_^*

Hinaru: You should definitely try getting more sleep – it’s pretty nice, you know *^_^* As for my Thursday last week, well, things really didn’t go as planned ^^;; BUT, I did get a lot of schoolwork done, though *^_^*

Godel: Thanks for the compliment. Whereas Thursday is your busy day, my busy day is on Wednesday ^^;; Ugh! And speaking of Wednesday, I gotta start preparing for lab even though it’s still Monday! *^_^*

JuliasPeach: Why is my name Monkey Orange? The answer is pretty simple, really. I chose Monkey because I was born under the Chinese zodiac of monkey *^_^* As for the critters themselves…some monkeys can be pretty cute and adorable, but other monkeys can be quite frightening in appearance ^^;; Orange? Well orange isn’t exactly my favorite color – I’m more of a ‘blue’ kind of girl, although…lately I’ve been very attracted to green as well ^^;; But yes, it was my sister who recommended that I add Orange into my screen name – and for her, she enjoys the color orange very much. Me? I’d rather eat oranges, than to wear the color *^_^*

Mew Wem: I also need some practice with badminton ^^;; The last time I played that game was with my family during the summer – great times *^_^* Sadly, the memories of badminton are not so great with my sister because she was once struck in the face with a badminton racket. Ouch! She survived, thankfully *^_^*

   Happy Thursday!

Surviving Wednesday
Although Wednesday is my longest day of the week -- strangely, it went by pretty quickly. And you know what's even stranger? I wasn't even exhausted after lab ^^;; I was talking to a friend and he told me that the alertness may have resulted from me actually getting enough sleep this week. I think he's right *^_^* The sleep has been quite plentiful *^_^*

Being FREE on Thursday
I have NO class on Thursday *^_^* Yosh! Today, I shall do some homework problems, play some basketball & jog with my imaginary friend at the gym, eat lunch, do some more homework problems in the cafe at Borders, have dinner at home, perhaps asks some actual friends to play badminton, watch some anime and go to bed. Sounds good *^_^*

Got Questions?
Hmm, I've never really answered questions from you all -- so here it goes! Feel free to ask me anything *^_^* If you're curious, that is ^^;;

   Prisoner 24601 [a reference from Les Miserables]

Monkey Orange vs. the Weather!
Rain. Rain is good to listen to when one is nicely snuggled under the covers, but it totally sucks to BE in! *sighs* I’m just complaining about the weather because it forces me to be very lazy and unmotivated to move away from a single position ^^;; Bad, I know!

Monkey Orange joins the Anime Club? AS IF!!!
And to think, I was considering dropping my school’s strange anime club too ^^;; Sadly, it was too wet outside to do so. I am so very sad! *definite sarcasm to note here, folks*

Strange was the first word to come to mind when I met the anime club people. Mind you, I haven’t actually been to a meeting before. I am afraid that if I do, then…I’d have crossed the line into complete ‘geekdom.’ But still, I am ever so curious about the stuff that they watch. What is it? Eh! Perhaps, it is best to just leave the club alone. Damn you, curiosity!

My colleague is a DINOSAUR woman!
I’ve known for quite some time now that one of my classmates is a strict vegetarian. When I asked her why became a vegetarian, she told me that it was to keep her aggressive personality under control.

What? Yep, she said that she naturally has an aggressive and violent personality that is more defined whenever she eats meat. Therefore, by leaving out the meat, she says that it makes herself more calm, controlled, and at peace. ^^;; Dinosaur.

A Broadway Musical, starring…Monkey Orange?
If the above heading were true, then trust me, it would NOT be a show you’d want to go see ^^;; Your eyes and ears…would die! Nah! Just yesterday I whipped out one of the Les Miserables musical CDs my roommate gave me for Christmas. I listened to the songs, and was reminded of how much I truly loved musicals *^_^* And you know what? I’ve actually seen Les Miserables on Broadway in New York City. Ahh, NYC…I miss visiting that place! If you are ever in NYC, then watching a Broadway musical is a definite must!

Monkey Orange and her bishie of the day!
Come now, stop rolling your eyes at me ^^;;

Kikumaru Eiji, from[Prince of Tennis]

This guy is perhaps the cutest and most energetic player on the Seigaku Team, and in the entire series *^_^* Seriously, where does he get his energy from? As for the guy in the back, well that’s Oshitari from the Hyoutei Team – who apparently thinks that Eiji is a complete freak for being so happy-go-lucky ^^;; The two of them are paired in Doubles 1 against the American Team’s Doubles 1. All in all, it was a good match in these particular episodes – 150 and 151 *^_^*

I chose Eiji today because I’ll NEED the extra boost of energy. Today [Wednesday] is gonna be a LONG day for me…I have pharmacy lab, and we all know how draining that is, right? ^^;;

   Only 2.5 Months before Summer Vacation!

Behold! Monkey Orange and the Incredible Astrovan
Can you believe it, guys? I NOW have a car to drive to school *^_^* It’s true! Monkey Orange drove herself down to campus this morning to resume her academic part of life.

Actually, I prefer driving the brand new car that my family got last week – but they were like, “Yeah right. There’s no way in hell we’re gonna give you the new car just so you can park it in the lot! You’re taking…the brown Astrovan.” Lovely ^^;;

Meet the Astrovan, Monkey Orange’s new faithful automotive companion!
-95’ Chevorlet Astrovan
-Equipped with radio/tape player/Mini TV [antennae not working]/VCR
-Alarm system that functions whenever it feels like doing so
-Maroon velvet seating for 7 passengers
-Big, brown, dented, and quite dull looking

But hey, it’s something, right? *^_^*

Monkey Orange begins her Spring Term of Pharmacy School
Nothing out of the ordinary *^_^* I think that the main difference between the courses this term compared to last term is that they are now worth 5 to 6 credits instead of the typical 3 credits. ^^;;

Which means that I gotta make sure to do well, or else…^^;; Plus…my typical Monday and Wednesday are gonna be longer than usual, eww…But at least my Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are lighter *^_^*

Hehe! Another thing that I thought was pretty fun was the fact that one of my new professors was trying to scare our class by saying how difficult the course is, and that it won’t change as time goes on, and that pharmacy school is not easy, blah, blah, blah! I was almost giggling to myself ^^;;

I thought that his intimidation speeches were a bit late in the game because such speeches are normally reserved at the beginning of the year when all freshlings haven’t a clue as to what to expect ^^;; But then again, maybe I’ve just become numbed to the beating and the bashings of pharmacy school. Eh!

   And Monkey Orange's Spring Break comes to end!

Spring Break = Eh!
Overall, my Spring Break was quite dull, boring, and uproductive in terms of the things that I wanted to do ^^;;

Last Saturday - Sunday:
The trip was pretty fun. Remember, the Llamas, enchiladas, and guns! *^_^*

Tuesday - Wednesday:
Very zombie-like, and boring.

Thursday:
Spent a long, boring, and frustrating day driving up to Seattle to pick up the grandparents at the airport. Tip: If possible, avoid caravaning in Seattle...insanity ^^;;

Friday:
I was supposed to do some Spring clothes shopping with my sister, but the both of us suddenly ran of energy and decided to go home ^^;;

Saturday - Sunday:
Well, for Saturday I finally got off my butt and completed my Federal and State Income Tax returns. *^_^* As for Sunday...I will most likely do some laundry, get some food, and head back down to campus (>_<).

Eww. Quite boring, eh?

*sighs*

One week for break is SO not long enough! I'd like another week, please! Pretty please!

*^_^*
