   Monkey Orange returns from Spring Break Trip #1

Llamas, enchiladas, and guns!
Yep, Monkey Orange just returned from the first of her Spring Break trips *^_^* My numerous family members and I ventured to Northeastern Washington to visit my new uncle’s side of the family.

Do you all remember the wedding I mentioned about less than two weeks ago? Well, this trip was sort of a continuation of the wedding. Meaning? We pretty much went over to his side of the family for another wedding reception that was hosted for his relatives who couldn’t make it down to Oregon.

All in all, it was a pretty fun trip. Although the drive was quite long, just being around his uber-friendly family members made it worthwhile. *^_^*

So then, why Llamas, enchiladas, and guns?
Simple. My new uncle is the first white guy to marry into our family of Asians *^_^* Not only is he a white guy, but he also grew up as a farm boy, which means that he pretty much came from a family of rednecks and hicks ^^;; LOL! It’s all fun, though. He himself is NOT a redneck, in fact he is quite the opposite ^^;; He is very much a farmboy-turned-cityboy-and-computer-geek *^_^*

Despite this, his family remains very redneck – which is NOT meant as an insult! His family [especially his parents and brother] are such VERY nice and generous people. Good people *^_^* and the sweetest rednecks around *^_^*

Again, why Llamas, enchiladas, and guns?
During our stay in their tiny town, his dad nicely contacted a friend and set our entire family up to stay in a beautiful lakehouse up in the mountains. Afterwards we visited his parents home, and got to play around with their numerous Llamas, and an emu! At the reception, we ate a LOT of yummy Mexican food – which we continued eating for the next several days because there was SO much leftover ^^;;

And on our final day, his family took us out to shot guns! Yep, real live ammunition. I got to shoot, and witness, three different types of guns: an AK-74 [relative of the Ak-47], some really scary rifle-like black gun, and a pretty cool looking pistol. Yep, that’s right, don’t mess with Monkey Orange ^^;;

And in the end...
Overall it was a pretty fun trip!

I can’t wait to see what the rest of my Spring Breaks brings me next *^_^*

*sniffs the air*

I smell food, gotta go!

I shall try to come and visit you all today, depending on how quickly I can help unload the car from the trip.

Oh by the way, our new family car is absolutely wonderful. 2005 Honda CRV, color is Silver Moss, and name is Pete. Pete was great during our trip *^_^*

   I'm done with Finals!

And that's it! Finals week was concluded with my Pharmacy Law exam -- which was horrid, but that's okay! ^^;;

Of labor and Finals
Hmm...one of my classmates went into labor on Tuesday - right in the middle of Finals week - so, I wonder how she'll be able to complete her exams, especially right after delivering a baby. Man, that sucks ^^;;

What? No Tennis> Noo!
And another thing...I can't take Tennis I this Spring term. Argh! I was forced to choose between Tennis I or Spanish for Pharmacy Professionals...and in the end, I had to choose the more important course. (>_<) I well...I guess I can always improvise, eh ^^;;

Battle: Monkey Orange vs. the Cough
Oh yeah...I think my cough is FINALLY getting better *^_^* I'm SO happy! I SO hated coughing for the past two weeks. Well, I'm still coughing now, but...it's not as often as it was before *^_^*

Yosh! Things are looking good for this Spring Break *^_^*

So, what will Monkey Orange be doing?
-Sleeping *^_^* Gotta catch up on my hours, man.
-Going to E. Washington this weekend to visit my 'new' uncle's side of the family.
-Playing tennis and watchinf anime with my sister.
-Poke my baby cousins.
-Shopping for festive spring clothing.
-Cruise the town in my family's newly bought car.
-Getting a head start on next term's material [I say this, but can I acutally pull it off].

Teehee! Sounds good to me!

Monkey Orange departs *^_^*
Have a wonderful St. Patty's day, today! And a wonderful weekend, too!

Monkey Orange...signs off! *^_^*

*hugs*

   Survival

Yeah, I had a pretty bad day yesterday ^^;;

Monkey Orange vs. Biochem Final...Pow!
My study-buddy and I were SO sleepy, tired, and unmotivated, that we both called it quites at around 8pm. So, how did I ever study for my horrid Biochem Final?

Well, I did't ^^;; There really wasn't a point to studying the vast material when presented with such a small time frame. Instead, I reviewed old material, no studying. I went to bed at about 1am, got up in the morning and reviewed some more stuff. I was like, 'I don't care anymore, I just want it over it!'

So...I took the exam this morning. And as it turned out, the final exam consisted of 2 physical test packets! What the hell!?! Totally out of the blue ^^;; Needless to say, it was a very long 2-hour exam -- and quite scary. But...it's over with, thank God! *^_^*

ONLY 1 more exam to go [Pharmacy Law final is tomorrow], and I'll be free *^_^* Yosh!

Monkey Orange & downloading Anime
I'm still a novice when it comes to downloading Anime, but I shall try to offer some wisdom *^_^*

There are several methods to downloading anime from the Web. These methods include the following:

*Use of direct downloadiing from a link: this method is the simplest -- click to save, or right click to save. But the question is...can you find these links? If so, then let me know *^_^*

*Use of FTP servers: this method is pretty easy to. Just find yourself access to an FTP server filled with yummy anime and transfer it to your computer with one simple click. Also, if you know of any of these servers, then let me know, too *^_^*

*Use of BitTorrent: this method requires you to download a BitTorrent program. Simple -- just Google BitTorrent, download the program, and visit the BT sites [AnimeSuki, BakaUpdates, Devil's Pride].

*Use of IRC: this method...I haven't yet ^^;; I think you need to download mIRC. I heard it starts off as a bit confusing [especially with bots], but gets to be pretty simple afterwards. I just haven't had the time to actually sit down, go through the tutorial, and try it out.

And, I think that's about it. Good luck! And of course, if you have some good tips or info., then please feel free to share it when me as well.

Toodles. *^_^*

   Evil!!!

My exam today took place at a later time than yesterday's -- hence, the late post. ^^;;

All in all, I thought it went okay. I guess...I should be a bit relieved now, but I am honestly feeling irritated >_<

Why am I irritated? Well, more like upset! I am upset because I have take that stupid cummulative Biochem final tomorrow, that I have yet to study for because of my sheer lack of motivation.

Grr! And right after I just got out of that exam too! There's just not enough time! Nooo! Die, exam, die!

*ahem*

Perhaps I should take a study break, right? I feel like I'm about to self-combust ^^;;

Also, my poor study-buddy doesn't look so good either. I encouraged her to go home, and break, but she doesn't want to because it's a bit far away. *sighs* We're both tired, unmotivate, and angry [well, for me] zombies.

Man, this sucks. I hate biochem ^^;;.

Okay. There shall be no more self-pitying for today *^_^* Sorries.

Where did by study-buddy go? Well, once I find her then perhaps we'll go grad some dinner before we resume our study for that dreadful exam.

P.S. I think I'm also pissed off because I can't open my new downloads of Prince of Tennis ^^;;

   I had Hawaiian food for lunch today, and it was yummy!!!

I'm taking a mini break right now before I dive into studying for my next final *^_^*

Monkey Orange and finals, so far:
I had my Pharmacy Practice exam this morning and it went pretty well. My friends and I conclude that our professors for that class enjoys freaking out their students, a lot.

Their like, 'oh well...you should this terms material in addition to last terms material. And don't forget about the topics mentioned on the discussion board as well as the IV admixture problems, and prescriptions drugs from both terms.' Geez...(>_<) Luckily, it was all bluff ^^;; Phew!

Monkey Orange still coughs!
Thank you very much for your wishes, yesterday *^_^* Sadly, my cough isn't really getting better. I may have to switch to a different kind of cough syrup later on.

It's a strange condition, really -- and kinda funny too ^^;; Yesterday, my pharmacy friends and I were practicing our counseling skills and trying to diagnose what I had. Apparently, I am a freak because my symptons did not match those that were mentioned in the book. In the end, they were like 'go see a doctor!' ^^;; And I probably will too, if this cough doesn't get better (>_<).

Monkey Orange stalks the library hallways?
It's totally insane in the library during finals week ^^;; The conditions in the library are SO much worse than that of a movie theatre on opening night for a blockbuster movie.

Meaning? Well...let's just say that all the tables and cubicles were packed. I spent like twenty minutes traveling up and down the levels just to get an open table -- and I was quite lucky to snag it just as some people were leaving ^^;; Geez...

***
Ah well...back to studying! Give me a few more days to finish my exams, guys. And afterwards, I shall visit y'all! Thanks SO much for stopping by *^_^*

*hugs*

   I hate studying on sunny day!

My siblings orchestral concert went pretty well on Friday. And yes...I am now back on campus to continue cramming for my finals...ugh.

I also bought myself some drugs for my cough and stuffy nose. I just starting taking them yesterday, and they're working...sort of ^^;; But seeing as how I am a pharmacy student...I'm kinda paranoid every time I take medicines ^^;; Geesh!

Hmm...what else? Not much, really. My bro took his SATs on Saturday...poor thing. Hopefully, he did okay ^^;; But since it IS the newer version...I dunno ^^;;

Ah well! Back to studying for Monkey Orange!

   Dextromethorphan! Gimme now! *coughs*

Yes, finals week is approaching and I'll have to go into super-hyper-studying mode, starting today *determined*

Here's my final exam schedule for next week
Monday: Pharmacy Practice II
Tueday: Foundations of Drug Action
Wednesday: Biochemistry II
Thurday: Pharmacy Law
Friday: Nada -- I'm going home! Spring Break!

And yes, I am VERY scared for each exam ^^;;

Monkey Orange News...sort of
-I should really be staying on campus this weekend to study, but my brother and sister are having a grand orchestrael performace this Friday evening. I am SO proud of my musician siblings *^_^* If only...if only I ALSO played the violin, then my siblings and I could form a quartet! Sadly...I am a loser, apparently...according to them ^^;;

-And speaking of siblings, my sister just started her JV Tennnis practice this week, and she totally loves it *^_^* As for my brother...OH MY GOSH! My brother got his driver's license! I am...officially freightened *_*

-I NEED...some dextromethorphan! And in English, dextromethorphan = cough suppressant *^_^* Yeah, Monkey Orange has been having a nasty dry cough for almost 2 weeks now. I shall pick up a bottle this Friday *^_^*

-Woo hoo! I've started a batch download of One Piece 111-120. I can't wait to get caught up on this series. Also, I finished watching Kyou Kara Maou! 31-34 and it was SO good, especially episode 31 *^_^* So good!

   A little change to this site!

I decided to give my site a mini-make over *^_^* No biggie. I just changed some colors, from blue/orange to purple/black. I also changed my avi from Luffy [One Piece] to an adorable chibi Atobe [Prince of Tennis]. I was ALSO going to change the midi, but sadly…it’s quite difficult to locate a Prince of Tennis midi. ^^;;

*****

And among other things, I almost gave myself heart attacks yesterday ^^;; First, I thought I DELETED my batch download of Kyou Kara Maou! -- which has been progressing for several days now. Then, my wireless card started freaking out at the café and resulted in my laptop continuously restarting itself ^^;; Luckily, I was able to fix both problems. Phew!

I also managed to finish downloading Prince of Tennis 143 and Tactics 20 -- naturally, I watched both of them *^_^* Tactics 21 just came out on fansub so I’m snagging that as well *^_^*

Okay. As for Adobe Photoshop…I did not purchase this software for my laptop. I simply transferred the program from my desktop and installed onto the laptop. So, where did I originally get Adobe Photoshop? Well…I don’t remember the exact details, but I do know that I didn’t buy it. I think I either gleeped it from Kazaa OR I got it from my uncle, who got it from his friend.

Okay, and for karmic purposes, please DON’T steal software ^^;;.

   ...and another day goes by!

Man, today was an awefully useless day ^^;;

I was supposed to have studied with my friend but...she never called. Instead, I sat in my room and watched Kyou Kara Maou! 27-28 and Tactics 12-19 for the next 3 hours!

Yep, I was very sloth-like today ^^;; Aweful!

Well, I have my Pharmacy Law class in 15 minutes so I won't be able to do any visits today. Tomorrow...I shall visit you guys tomorrow, k?

Geez...it's the week before finals -- and you'd think I'd get myself more prepared, eh? ^^;; Well...I blame it on the beautiful weather!

*whines* I SO don't wanna go to class (>_<)

   Monkey Orange is on a roll!

Hey there guys! Did you all have a great weekend? *^_^*

As you may have guessed, my weekend was wonderful *^_^*

Pills, Questions, and Videotape…?
My Patient Counseling videotaping session last Friday went pretty well. I was a bit nervous and unsure before my appointment. I was like, “Which medicine will I be counseling on?” and “I hope my patient won’t be giving me a hard time” and “I hope I’ll remember to ask the key questions.”

Well, overall my counseling session went rather well *^_^* My patient [a 4th year pharmacy student] told me that I didn’t appear nervous, and that I was very professional. Yay!

Monkey Orange’s Aunt got Married!
Yep. The wedding on Saturday was wonderful! I am SO happy for my aunt and her new husband. Out of all my aunts on both my mom and dad’s side of the family, I feel closest to this particular aunt.

And in all honesty, this aunt is more like a friend to me, than an aunt. She was the person who I came to for advice on college and many other things. She was the person who I came to during my times of stress and worry. I love my aunt! And for that reason, I was very happy and emotionally moved during this wedding. May they have ALL the happiness in the world! *^_^*

Anime & Manga related things
So yes, I was finally able to come home for the weekend for the first time in 2 weeks. My sister and I caught up on our fun bishie talk, as usual, and also watched some anime. Together we watched Tactics 1-11, Prince of Tennis 140-141, and One Piece 76-78. All of these shows were very good.

I felt that Tactics FINALLY got better after watching episode 7 because the atmosphere between Kantarou and Haruka became less tense and more comfy. But even though the anime is getting a bit better, I still prefer the adorable-ness and funniness of the manga, which isn’t as evident in the anime.

I also got to make some fun purchases over the weekend. I picked up Chrono Crusade DVD vol. 4, Prince of Tennis manga vol. 6, and Hot Gimmick manga vol. 8. Oh, AND I got a free Viz manga calendar from Suncoast -- not of the best quality, but the pictures are nice *^_^* And sadly, my Kyou Kara Maou! batch downloads are as slow as ever (>_<).

Oh, and while we are still under this post sub-topic, I’d also like to mention that I finally got Adobe Photoshop onto my laptop. *^_^* Which means…expect to see some screencaps of the shows that I watch. And seriously, images make sites more interesting, don’t ya think? *^_^*

Monkey Orange and a BioChem update
Got my BioChem Midterm II exam back today, and…I aced it! *^_^* I got an A! Yosh!
