Friday, at last!
Yay! *bouces up and down*
It's Friday *^_^*
Although I have my dreadful Patient Counseling Videotaping session today, I'm feeling pretty happy. Why? Because...I get to go home! *^_^*
I haven't been in home in 2 weeks! I miss talking and watching Anime with my sister, PLUS the WEDDING is on Saturday! *^_^* I'm SO excited!
ALSO, I think I've figured how to make screenshots from my laptop. I almost went insane for longest time because I couldn't figure out how to work it. Before then, I was able to capture images from my desktop, not my laptop from both Windows Media Player & DivX. Sadly, I can only do screenshots from WMA on my laptop and not from DivX. >_> Hmm...there are still a few tests I need to run to make this works the way I want it to ^^;;
Ah yes. I am now totally caught up on Tactics. I haven't watched all the episodes, but I managed to download ALL the new ones -- all 19 of them *^_^*
I have also decided to move onto downloading my next show, which is *drum roll*...Kyou Kara Maou. *^_^* I haven't seen this show since episode 19, and have missed it dearly! UNFORTUNATELY in order to get 'caught-up' I am required to download a batch of the 1st 26 episodes (>_<)
Man, I ONLY need 7 out of those 26! *sighs* Since I have no Internet at my complex, the only way I get my shows is via mooching from the school. Therefore, I have no choice but to continually come and hang out at the library. Well...at least it forces me study while I wait, right ^^;;
But...but...it's like 4GB. It'll take forever ^^;; Ah, well! What can I say? I am...an ADDICT!
Okies. That's it for Monkey Orange today *^_^* Have a wonderful weekend, y'all -- I know that I will *^_^* |

Ugh...writing...
Unfortunately I was only able to visits half of y’all yesterday ^^;; I shall try to visit the other half today when I am free *^_^*
So, you know how I said I was gonna start and finish my essay-thingy, yesterday? Well, it didn’t happen. I was 1/4th of the way done when I realized that I didn’t know enough about my subject to continue on.
Monkey Orange decides on what to write!
I was initially writing about the ethics of embryonic stem cell research until I realized that there is only 1 strong ethical issue – and that particular issue concerns whether or not the use of embryos can be classified as the destruction of life. This topic is quite interesting to discuss, but I decided that I wanted something easier and simpler. PLUS, mind you, I have to get this thingy done as soon as possible. Therefore the less convoluted the issue, the less time it’ll take me to write and discuss. So, in the end of things, I have chosen to write about the safety and legality of online pharmacies *^_^* WHICH is pretty interesting in it’s own right!
[Begin of Pharmacist Student rant]
Please be safe when purchasing from online pharmacies. Before you make your purchases, verify the legitimacy of that website! The best price does not ensure the best safety. Oh, and if you have any questions or concerns regarding pharmacy stuff, please feel free to contact me *^_^*
[/End of Pharmacist Student rant].

Tactics by Kazuko Higashiyama and Sakura Kinoshita:
The Manga and Anime series.
Please click above for series information.
I truly adore this series so far – even though I have only read the 1st manga volume ^^;; I am still anxiously awaiting ADV Manga to release the 2nd volume, which is taking a freaking long time (>_<)-- since October!.
Compared to the anime, the storyline, characters, and artwork from the manga is SO much better! The only reason as to why I am watching the anime is simply because I am in total manga version withdraw.
The art in anime isn’t as nice. Kantarou from the manga is supposed to look younger than he does in the anime. As for the story and character personalities…well…I don’t really approve of it. For one thing, the anime storyline is diverging from the manga – which is very bad, period. Secondly, they made Haruka’s personality so…cold, distant, and a bit bland. And lastly, which is the main difference that kills me, is that the humor is…gone. Where the heck is my comic relief? Compared to the manga, the anime is so…dark and cold. Not fun.
But PLEASE do NOT dismiss this series as horrible because it isn’t! It’s a good series that I enjoy reading, with good artwork and fun characters. I highly recommend that you READ the manga, and bypass the anime…for now.
My opinion regarding the anime is based solely from watching 5 episodes. I shall continue watching the rest of the anime series to alleviate my withdraw from the manga series. I have about 14 episodes of Tactics on my laptop left to watch. Therefore, I shall continue to analyze the anime for good qualities [hopefully] and will post them for you guys read.

Yep, yep. I love my laptop, AND mooching off of the school’s Internet *^_^* Okies. Back to work! |

Alive, and moving foward!
Yay, my second BioChem midterm is now over with! *^_^* But you know what? Why is it always the case that the concepts that I study the most for, is never on the test? ^^;; Sadly, the professor HAD to ask us about the more 'fuzzier' concepts. *sighs*
On the brighter side of things, I got my Drug Action exam II back today, and I found out that I did pretty well *^_^* Yay!
As for non-school related happy matters:
-I'm pretty much caught up on my Prince of Tennis fansubs -- with the exception of a few messed up files that I've given up on downloading.
-I also managed to download a butt-load of Prince of Tennis music *^_^* I absolutely LOVE these character songs!
-And seeing as how I am caught up with Prince of Tennis, I shall move foward to catch up on Kyou Kara Maou!, Tactics, and my beloved One Piece...and maybe Naruto. *^_^* SO MANY anime, yet SO little time!
-WEDDING!!! My aunt is getting married this Friday, and I shall participate as the bridesmaid! ^^;; I am SO excited! You see, I NEVER envisioned my aunt as the 'marrying' type simply because she is SO independent and career-centered. Therefore, this particular wedding should be interesting and fun *^_^*
AND not so happy matters:
-My Image Hosting account has somehow died. NOTE: The lack the pictures on this site. Pretty dull, I know ^^;; I shall try to remedy that problem...sometime. AND, I want to give this site a new makeover. Spring is here, and changes need to be made! *^_^*
-Although I am here and posting on MyO, I still do not have much free time. Today, I gotta write up an ethics paper, and THEN prepare for a Patient Counseling Videotaping session this Friday. Yikes! I HATE being videotaped ^^;;
And I think that's about it for now *^_^* As always, thank you very much for dropping by! I shall now be off to visit y'all before I start up my horrid essay-thingy! *hugs* |

One Year Anniversary, already???
Monkey Orange’s 1 year anniversary at MyO *^_^*
It’s true! I’d like to start off by saying that it has definitely been a pleasure meeting those of you who I’ve considered are my MyO buddies. I’d also like to extend my thanks and appreciation to anyone who has ever stopped by my site and read my posts, commented, signed my guestbook, or even just to browse around. *hugs*
I’ve enjoyed reading your comments on my site AND reading YOUR posts on your own site. I’ve learned a great many things about each of you, and let me just say that you all are SUCH good people with unique qualities and personalities. *^_^* I’ve met wonderful artists, writers, actors, musicians, designers, athletes, and the list keeps on growing! Geesh, I feel a bit dull here as just a pharmacy student ^^;;
Monkey Orange’s 1st first at MyO ^^;;
Here it is, and of course it’s about bishies! *^_^*

Title: Number 1
Whoa, this is my first post.
So what's up with my Otaku life today? Let's see...Today I continued my re-watching of Vision of Escaflowne.
As one of my favorite shows, I decided to re-watch it again. I love the characters, the story, and mostly the music. You go Yoko Kanno!
I watched episodes 1-4 about two weeks ago. Today I finished 5-8. It was my reward for being a hard worker, honest ^^;
Allen is still my favorite bishie from the series. But as I continued to re-watch it, I discovered that I'm developing a deeper appreciation for Van too! He's such a good guy! He experiences a lot of personal growth by the end of the show.
Okay. That's enough for now.
Honestly, I can go on and on and on...if I wanted to ^~
And there it was! My first post ^^;; It’s a bit dull, I know. Yep, not very different from my posts now, probably ^^;;
Monkey Orange and Spring Term
I was finally able to register for Spring Term yesterday. I had initially planned to register at midnight, but the system was tweeky SO I didn’t get to register until 8:30am the following. My friend and I were able to register for Tennis I [yay!], but sadly, we were forced to take different lab sections. *sighs* Eh. I just CAN’T wait until this bloody term is over with – so draining. Go Spring term!
Monkey Orange’s little sister, Orange Lilly
I’d like to congratulate my younger sister on making it onto the JV Tennis team at her school *^_^* Since I won’t be able to come home this weekend, I’d also like to wish her luck on her Mock Trial competition this Saturday. Man, my sister is amazing…and so involved. Me, on the other hand, was quite the lazy bum when I was in high school ^^;;
Monkey Orange tries reading Yaoi?
Yeah, I gave into temptation and tried it out ^^;; Yes, I am a prevent and I won’t deny it. I gave into impulse and bought the first volume of a particular yaoi series. And uh…*blush*…it was interesting. Although the bishies were nice to look at, of course, I don’t think that I will continue purchasing the rest of the volumes mainly because the story it totally lacking. What? Am I really reading the lines? Yes, I am ^^;; In addition to the…uh…certain images, I’m also looking for a good story too. Sadly, the series that I really want to read hasn’t been translated to English yet ^^;; Okay, I shall stop this topic now ^^;;
Monkey Orange Apologizes ^^;;
I am very sorry that I have not been about to visit your sites, especially for those who have commented my posts and signed my guestbook. Life is a bit insane right now ^^;; I still have a monstrous exam and a horrid calculations quiz THIS coming Monday so I’ll still be a bit aloof. BUT, I will try my best to get around to visiting and commenting AFTER this coming dreadful Monday. *^_^*
As always, thanks for the well wishes! *hugs all* |

Sometimes I just feel like the Living Dead
Hi guys! *waves*
My apologies for not posting sooner ^^;; Sadly, things are gonna get a bit crazier this week and on! I can totally sit here and type out all the things I've got to do but...THAT would be boring, right? So, I won't *^_^*
Here's an update on Monkey Orange's life since last Tuesday:
Alzhiemer's Care Center
My visitation last Wednesday went very well. The people who worked there were nice and were able to answer all my questions. Actually, I have another visition this Wednesday *^_^*
The Remainder of Last Week
Not too exciting because I spent most of it studying for my Drug Action exam. Blah!
Ooo...the Weekend!
Fun, and not as productive as usual. My sister and I went to Best Buy and bought several DVDs. We purchased the complete Blue Seed series, Here is Greenwood OVA, and of course Saiyuki RELOAD. Good stuff *^_^*
And on the following day, our family went to visit my aunt and her fiance in another city. We pretty much spent the ENTIRE day and night there.
All in all, it was fun. And now...I gotta study some more. ^^;;
As always, I shall try my best to make it to your guys' sites. BUT, don't be surprised if ya don't see me. ^^;; Sorries, but I just really gotta digest this sticky, chewy, school stuff.
*hugs*

Wednesday or Tuesday, or even...Monday?
So I woke up this morning [Tuesday] and started freaking out because I thought that it was actually Wednesday -- luckily it wasn't ^^;;
So I go to my morning class where my friend tells me that I have been studying the wrong material -- and I started freaking out. I took out my study sheets and showed him that he was wrong. Phew.
So THEN, another friend tells me that there is an exam THIS Monday. *_* What? Already? But...but...weren't we just done with exams? Sadly, my next episode of 'freaking out' was definitely justified. ^^;; It is true. NOT only that, I also have ANOTHER Biochem test next, next Monday. AND then...finals!
Darnit to heck! Why won't these exams just leave me be! And HERE I thought that I'd actually get SOME time to relax, bum around, and catch up on other school work. Wrong!
Okay. No more whining *^_^* I know what I must do, and dammit, I WILL do it! *sniffle*
For Wednesday:
I will be visiting an Alzheimer’s Care Facility in my home town. The purpose of this visitation is to fulfill a requirement for a pharmacy class.
This site…wasn’t my first choice ^^;; I only chose it because I do not have a car on campus, so it’ll be easier if I visited a place near home. Ah well, I hope that it’ll be interesting.
I KNOW it’ll be depressing. I just hope that the rumors won’t be true: that I’ll get spat on or attacked by old people with no memories. *sighs* I shouldn’t have said that ^^;; It was quite insensitive – my apologies ^^;;
And lastly, thank you very much for the comments *^_^* Despite finding out that I have more exams, I am still happy about my midterm scores -- I just gotta keep them up. As for Valentines Day, it was pretty much spent on studying. And for the Internet mooching, it goes...kinda slowly at time. But...at least it's something. *^_^*

And life goes on...again!
Midterms week are over with, and I did excellent on all my exams *^_^* Yay!
My weekend was pretty good, too. Since I missed out on Chinese New Years LAST Wednesday, I was wonderfully greeted with leftovers and Red Envelopes when I visited home.
Red Envolopes, or Li Xi, or Lucky Money, can be described as well...red envelopes filled with money. These envelopes are traditionally given on Chinese New Years from elders to those who are younger -- something nice to start off the New Years! *^_^* Yep, yep...I can never complain about being a few bucks richer, you know ^^;;
As yes, and today is Valentines Day. I do NOT have my very own beau therefore this day means very little to me. I mean...wasn't Valentines Day created ONLY for commercial purposes? Well, that's what I heard ^^;;
ALSO, I have developed a method that will BOTH help me to study IN the library AND will provide a reward at the SAME time. *^_^*
Here it is: I have decided to bring my laptop to the library! While IN the library I shall LET my laptop MOOCH off the school's FAST Internet [to download some...stuff], while I study and wait. THEREFORE, if I WANT my goods THEN I have NO choice but to remain in the library and study!
Mwuahahahaha! I think it will work! *ahem* |

Almost done...
I’ve had midterms for almost two weeks now -- which was why I haven’t been around to visit you guys at all– sorries ^^;;. Although the studying was intense, the exams weren’t all THAT bad. I found out that I did VERY well on my biochemistry exam [it’s ironic since I always complain about how horrid it is!]. As for the other exams…I dunno yet. I still have 1 more exam on Thursday and THEN I’ll be completely finished for the next 2-3 weeks ^^;; Yes…I’ll finally be able to breathe…for awhile.
Hmm, so what’s been going on?
Well, I’ve made some manga purchases over the weekend *^_^* Sadly, the volumes have been piling up in a corner because of my lack of free time, but…I did read 1 volume on Sunday AND another today *^_^* Yep! Breaks ARE good!
Legal Drug 2
This is a manga series done by CLAMP, and I absolutely LOVE it! It’s about these two guys who work for a ‘unique’ pharmacist at a pharmacy called the Green Drug Pharmacy. These guys are assigned to complete various odd-jobs for the pharmacist while carrying out their duties as pharmacy techs/clerks. Yes, yes. I AM a pharmacy geek. Aside from taking place in a pharmacy, this series also has some pretty nice bishies AND a story that’s shrouded in mystery. Whenever I read this series, it makes me wanna enter into the Independent Pharmacy business and to open up my very own pharmacy also called the Green Drug Pharmacy. Of course, I also gotta top it off by hiring 2 ‘hot’ guys to be my techs/clerks.
Angel Sanctuary 6
This series keeps getting better and better. It really is a shame that the OVA only told the story up to volume…2, or is 3? Eh. *^_^*
The contents of Monkey Orange’s Manga-to-Read pile:
Descendants of Darkness 3
Prince of Tennis 5
DNAngel 6
Gravitation 10
I love my manga. *^_^*
Monkey Orange is NOT an artist!:
If…if only I can draw. I’ve noticed that a TON of you out there are such talented artists! Honestly, if I were to reveal my drawing to ANY person, then they would most likely go blind ^^;; I am so envious. >_<
Monkey Orange an Anime:
I haven’t been able to watch much. HOWEVER, I was able to catch Full Metal Alchemist on Cartoon Network this past Saturday *^_^* I was nice to my alchemy boys again, but…but…Roy’s dubbed voice is absolutely horrible! >_< It does NOT suit him at all! Ed’s voice could be better, and I’ve accepted that. But I just cringe when I hear Roy’s voice ^^;;
I was also able to watch some Gundam SEED. I do not usually watch the mecha genre, but this series is pretty good. Fraga [or Flaga] is my favorite character. This man provides pretty good comic relief. I’m happy to see that he has upgraded from a regular pilot to a Gundam pilot *hugs Fraga* I wonder if Cartoon Network will eventually obtain the rights to Gundam SEED Destiny-- I’d loved to watch that too!
Okay. On a more disappointing note concerning Cartoon Network…I am a bit upset that they are showing reruns on Yu Yu Hakusho. I was totally looking forward to watching Yusuke kick Sensui’s ass! >_< *sighs*
As for Inuyasha…I think that I’ve given up on watching it ^^;; I’m just too behind to continue PLUS it doesn’t help me much since the new episodes are shown during the weekdays. I have NO cable, so I only get to watch over the weekends. Bummer, indeed. I miss it!
Lately I’ve been trying to re-watch the second season Fushigi Yugi. THIS show is THE epitome of Shoujo genre *^_^* I love it! I haven’t been able to watch much of it because of studying and such. But it’s SO good…and *sniffle*…dramatic. The last episode I watched left me crying before I went to bed. I want to continue watching it…but my characters are feeling a bit depressed right now. BUT the ending is SO good. Therefore, I must stick with it until the end!
And today, I was able to watch some Prince of Tennis. I’m always feeling a bit happier after watching my tennis bishies, of course. And sadly, with NO cable Internet of my own, I am SO far behind in the series ^^;; I also need to catch up on the One Piece fansubs, as well as starting on the Naruto fansubs! *starts daydreaming about her summer job as a Pharmacy Intern making big bucks* Ahem!
As for anime purchases, I plan to buy Chrono Crusade 4 this coming March. I am reading both the manga and watching the anime at the same time – which can get a bit confusing, but I still enjoy it! I also read from my Newtype magazine that the entire Blue Seed series will be released [in bricks] in the next few weeks. This is anime is not new, but judging from the several episodes I watched a few years ago, I’m considering purchasing the series. Twenty-six episodes for $60 bucks – not bad.
And in the end…:
Yeah…this is a longer post than usual. I just had a lot of stuff I wanted to express. And if you’ve manage to make it this far…then…*hugs* In terms of post-length, I don’t think that I am anywhere near Shin’s length. Speaking of which…I haven’t visited that guy in such a long time. In fact, I haven’t visited ANYONE in such a long time. ^^;; I feel SO bad. Okay…I just have 1 more exam to go! So, until then…I’m gonna have to disappear again.
I probably won’t be here to post for February 9th [studying for Thurday’s exam] – so then, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEARS!!! I am sad to say goodbye to the Year of Monkey, but I guess that the Year of the Rooster will be just a good.

I don't wanna!
Needless to say, this past week has been totally insane!
The water hearter on my complex level, died -- therefore I was forced to go without shower for 1 day, and to take night showers on the 3rd floor for 2 days. Anywho, my manager FINALLY replaced the dead heater with a NEW one...yay!
As for the usual school stuff... Midterms! I've finished 2 of them, and have 2 more next week. So exhuasting! My BioChem exam went better than I expected, but my Drug Action exam went worse than I expected ^^;;
*sighs*
I'll be going home this weekend *^_^* [Though, I probably shouldn't!]. I will be attending a Vietnamese New Year's celebration in Portland *^_^* Afterwards, my siblings will be participating in an All-City Orchestral event *^_^* AND in between THAT, I gotta study for another midterm on Monday...and then on Thursday.
...I think that next week will be MORE insane...but hey, at least I HAVE hot water!
Thanks for reading! *^_^*

I'd rather be staring at bishies than biochem!
The title says it all. ^^;;
Still studying, still surviving -- I think.
Midterms are approaching quick...and I'm hungry.
I'll try NOT to overdo it today.
