   Baby x Goodies x 'Not the end!'

Hi guys! Well, for those of you who live in the US, I hoped that your Thanksgiving day was good *^_^*

My Thanksgiving day was okay. I didn't get to eat as much turkey as I anticipated AND my dad forgot to take home the leftovers (>_<). Ah well! There is always next year ^^;;

I and got ANOTHER cousin!
It's true. My uncle's chick just gave birth to bouncing baby boy a few days ago. His name is TJ *^_^*

TJ is my newest boy cousin. I've had a total of THREE baby boy cousins arrive with the past TWO months ^^;;

My new cousins are: Darren, Aaron, and TJ. AND they are CUTE!

Hitting the sales!:
My brother camped out at Best Buy since 10pm on Thursday. My sister and I arrived to meet him this morning at 5am. Because he was among the first 15 in line, he was able to get every single 'limited' sale item ticket *^_^*

We ended up charging over $2500.00 to my mums plastic card ^^;; OF COURSE we'll be filing for rebates to GET BACK $1000.00.

The price total may seem a bit scarey, BUT they were all VERY good deals.

$200 for desktop w/ monitor [very good specs]
$500 for HP Notebook
$150 for Kodak digital camera
$250 for Canon digital camcorder
$100 for ATI Radeon 5600 Videocard
$30 for 512MB Thumbdrive [we got two]
$30 for 160GB Harddrive.

We also got 2 MP3 players, DVD-Rs, memory card, and other accessories.

Good stuff *^_^*

Ock!
Gosh darnit! I still have a BUTTLOAD of schoolwork to do (>_<) Kill me!

*sighs* I still gotta go get fitted for a dress for my aunt's wedding. THEN, I will do my work ^^;;

Toodles!

   Addiction x Die paper, die! x Wedding???

Greetings *^_^*

Addiction! Eyeballs glued to the computer screen, part I:
I spent several hours yesterday evening working on my horrid paper (>_<). And you know what? I ended up writing off topic. Ack! By time I realized this, several hours had already passed.

I was NOT happy ^^;; I immediately ceased my work, and started to watch some Hunter x Hunter to blow off steam.

Unfortunately, I got stuck watching a VERY good arc in HxH, such that my eyeballs remained glue to my computer screen until 1am [Oh, about 11 episodes later!].

Yep. No further progress was made on that horrid paper ^^;;

Death to the paper! Eyeballs glued to the computer screen, part II:
Let's just say I could NOT get myself up this morning ^^;; Instead, I ditched my 8am class to continue working on my paper. And you know what? I'm ALMOST done *^_^*. Only 2 more pages to finish, and one complete revision. Yes! Death to the paper, woo hoo!

Weddings:
Do you guys remember the wedding that I participated in that past October? Well, as it so happens, the mother of the Best Man that I walked down the aile with wants to set me up with her son for marriage ^^;; Hahahaha! Thanks, but no thanks! Marriage is NOT currently on my list of things to do *^_^*

And speaking of marriage, I'm going to be fitted for a dress tomorrow for my aunt's wedding in March. Also, I just found out that my OTHER aunt will be getting married, too.

Geez! If it's not more babies, then it's more weddings ^^;;

Both are fun, of course!

I gotta wrap up a few more projects on this computer, so might not be able to visit you guys. Well...we'll see *^_^*

   Job x Extreme Shopping x Term Paper

Hi guys!

Did you have a good weekend?

Dr. Monkey Orange gets a job?:
Yes *^_^*

Today, I have officially accepted a job offer as a Pharmacy Intern at Walgreens [a retail/pharmacy chain drug store], for this summer.

Woo hoo! I am SO happy. Happy and...relieved. I will be making $16.00 per hour *^_^* -- which my mum says is just 'okay.' BUT, this is ME you are talking about! I have NEVER had a real job in my life so $16 bucks compared to zero or minimum wage is pretty damn good *^_^*

Ooo...I like money *^_^* Well, this job is mainly for the experience, but hey I'll take the money too. Mwhahahaha!

*satisfactory sigh*

Dr. Monkey Orange goes extreme Christmas shopping!
It's true. The after Thanksgiving Day sale is the biggest shopping day in the US. Why? It's because of the great sales and bargains, that's why!

Shirts, shoes, washing machines, movies, games, lawn equipment, candies, cars, animals, anything!

Unlike last year, I actually have a list of 'toys' I'd like for myself. Therefore I shall engage in extreme shopping this holiday break! Mwahahahaha!

I will most likely be camping with my brother outside of Best Buy this Thursday night. I want my goodies!!!

Although I havn't checked out their advertisment yet, I know that I'll be keeping my eyes for:

-MP3 playes [myself and sister]
-a couple of 1G thumbdrives
-nice laptop
-CDRWs, DVD-R
-Digital Camera
-Digital Video Camera

Yes. My electronic 'toy' list seems pretty simple. BUT my bro will be getting more 'geekier' stuff like videocards, videogames, and other products that are referred to via some strange computer lingo that I am unfamiliar with ^^;;

Whatever. I have NO doubts that Firday will be a LONG day! ^^;; I will be pooped!

Dr. Monkey Orange can no longer escape that which is known as the...term paper:
I will seriously continue working on this dreaded and boring paper after I'm done checking your sites.

Seriously. ^^;;

*morphs into her inner Volkan*

Live long and prosper.

   Procrastination x Birthday x Retrospective

Gosh darnnit!

I slept SO well last night, and had such a yummy breakfast that now...I don't wanna do my homework (>_<)

Last weekend I left my binder of Hunter x Hunter episodes at home so I wasn't able to watch any this past week at school. Now that I'm home...I'm getting a strong urge to do nothing except plopping myself infront of my brother's computer and watch. ^^;;

Evil procrastination!

Well...I don't think that it will be THAT bad if I just watch for awhile right?

Afterall, I still have Saturday...and Sunday [sort of, not really]. AND, it's not like it's due on Monday. In fact, that 10-page boring paper isn't even due until AFTER Thanksgiving break! I just...was trying to get it done early, that's all.

*ahem* Do you guys see what I'm doing? I'm trying to justify my own laziness -- not only through the content of this post BUT also through my entire online presence right now ^^;;

Evil procrastination!

No worries. This is Dr. Monkey Orange -- AND she will eventually get her act together. *^_^*

To the birthday boy & a trip down memory lane:
On another note, please stop by Shin's place and wish him a very happy birthday. The guy just turned the big...19 yo! Man, and what was I like at 19? It was so...long ago (>_<)!

Ah yes, at 19 I was entering my second year of college in New York. Fun times!

I had just moved into a new dorm, and was rooming with my best friend -- a TV obsessed chick from California. ^^;;

My dorm floor was occupied by some very strange people -- with good hearts, though.

School wise, it was tough. I took Organic Chemistry -- very difficult BUT fun...in a masochistic way ^^;;

Hmm...I also got to go to Washington DC for Thanksgiving break [my aunt worked there at the time] and then NYC for Spring break. And lastly, when sophomore year ended, I had 4 wisdom-teeth removed. Three days later, I flew out to Philadelphia for a reseach fellowship...with 4 empty holes my gums. Ack!

At 19...good times *^_^*

~~~
Okay, okay. I'll get off this darn computer, get my dose of Hunter x Hunter, and try to continue my paper.
*whines*
I don't wanna! ^^;;
   Yay, pirates!
After I read Panda’s post about pirates the other day, I developed a craving for One Piece So, seeing as how I had some free time on Wednesday, I decided to watch some of my One Piece fansub backlog – specifically, I watched the One Piece: Movie 1. All in all, it was pretty good. I missed Sanji though ‘cause he wasn’t a part of the crew yet. *sighs*
~~~
A little digression before I resume my 1P train of thought:
No. I’m NOT being a bummy student today ^^;; I already took my exam yesterday [which I got a C on – but heck, I’m damn proud of my average grade!]. I also wrapped up a couple of project assignments. THEREFORE, my indulgence in 1P on Wednesday IS deserving of what I’ve been through these past several days. End.
~~~
As always, visuals are fun to look at! The following are some screen caps I took from the movie. If you like them, go ahead and take them. I am not bitchy about my pics *^_^*
The crew minus Sanji. Where are you, my dear chef???
Zoro and Luffy are stuffing their faces with Oden [I think] after having been deprived of food for a LONG time.
Zoro’s satisfied look when he saw the El Drago freaking out because his ass was gonna be kicked by Luffy.
El Drago’s minions freaking out after they witnessed him being flung into the sea by Luffy’s gomu gomu no bazooka attack.
Seriously. How can I NOT love Luffy! Yes, he’s not the brightest person but he’s SO adorable!
Oh my gosh, Panda! Why did you NOT tell me that you were an extra in this movie? Lucky!
I was gonna try and make some screen caps of the fight but hey, I don’t have THAT much free time ^^;; Oh yeah, and as always I totally LOVE the backgound music for this series – which is something you do NOT hear from the FOXBOX ‘Kiddy-fied’ version. *cringes*
Anyways, have a great weekend, guys!
Over the weekend I shall:
-Wrap up my 10 page, boring paper.
-Watch some MORE anime *^_^*
-Have some fun at my brother’s 9th birthday party.
   Canned bread???
A quickie!
Depending how my day goes today, I may able to come and visit your guys' sites. If not..., then my apologies ^^;;
Over the weekend I made a startling discovery at my local grocery store -- the existence of canned bread!
It's true. Bread-in-a-can. Open both sides of the can, and push the bread out from one side, and eat.
I swear, it was the strangest thing. My mind is still baffled.
And there you have it!
   ...and procrastination has struck me again!
Hi guys! *waves*
Well, it doesn't look like I'm gonna get much work done today so I might as well goof off for a while ^^;;
Ack! Darn contacts are dry again (>_<)!
Anywho, life in pharmacy school is looking a bit better, I think. Don't I always say that?...and then I end up freaking out again?
It's good to NOT be alone
Well...I'm happy to say that depsite my loneliness here, I've actually made 2 good friends -- one probably has the hots for me, and the other shares the same feelings of frustration with me. *^_^* I'm just happy to know that I'm not COMPLETELY alone here.
I also found a roomate for next year, thank you lord! I despise the complex I'm currently at because it's like staying in a jail cell -- complete and total isolation.
*^_^* ...I'm just feeling overall good today.
So...moving on.
Weekend trip to the movies
I watched The Incredibles over the weekend. Great suff!!! Very actiony, indeed. Don't ask me which character I liked the most because then I'll say, 'all of them.' Although...Fro-Zone was pretty cool. Ahh...I love witty banter *^_^* Yes, I encourage you all to go watch that movie.
BUT, what the heck is up with all the other Pixar wannabes? Seriously, I dislike copycats (>_>)
Another movie that caught my eye was Star Wars: Episode 3, Revenge of the Sith. Why? The preview -- it was cool! This third installment definitely looks much darker and much more interesting than the horrid SW: Episode Two. Come on, this is when we'll get to see Darth Vadar for the first time! AND, he even has the same voice! *exited*
Okay. Enough geekiness ^^;; I shall quickly visit your guys' sites; go home and take out my contacts; do some school work; and perhaps watch some Anime [if I have the time, that is].
Question for thought:
Let's say you were able to switch bodies with ANY anime character for ONE day. For that ONE day, you can do ANYTHING you want. Who would you switch with, why, and what would you be doing?
For me:
I would switch with Fuma Monou from X. Why? Why not! He's evil and posseses some wicked kick-ass powers. As Fuma, I'd gallavant around some major city and cause some destruction. Hmm...I'd probably flash myself in the mirror as well ^^;;
But then again...I also wanted to be Sanzo from Saiyuki. As Sanzo, I'd probably go do something that is VERY out of his nature just to witness the various reactions from others. Hehe...yep, as Sanzo I'd grab Gojyo and give him a big yummy kiss *^_^* I'd also give Goku a hug and tell him how cute he is...and then I'd also give Hakkai a big hug and tell him how much I love him *^_^*
I'd also want to be Hitomi from Escaflowne so that I can get a ride with Van and his beautiful wings.
And then there's also Kagome from Inuyasha so that I can play with his ears!
But that's just me *^_^* And, you?
   Yo!
Whoa! It feels like it’s been ages since I last came here ^^;; Seriously guys, pharmacy school is very time consuming.
Dr. Monkey Orange’s typical day in pharmacy school
-Drag self out of bed and shower.
-Make coffee and something to eat. Set items on table.
-Grab backpack, put on shoes, and grab coffee & food.
-Speed walk to class. Stay in class for the next several hours.
-Eat lunch after all classes are finished.
-Go to library and study until evening.
-Go home eat dinner.
-Get with friend and study more until the late night.
-Go home and sleep.
Multiply this regimen by 4 or 5, and that’s my week. (>_<) However, I tend to bum off a little more on Thursday because my brain is usually low on fuel ^^;; Hence, this update.
Dr. Monkey Orange’s Halloween night…Mwuahahaha!
I told my siblings that I retired from ‘Trick-or-Treating,’ but it was a lie. Yes, I a 24 –year-old woman, disguised myself as a child and swindled people of their yummy candy. I don’t deny it! I am a student who is poor…and has a really bad sweet tooth. My Halloween night concluded with a 5-minute adventure through a ‘haunted’ house. The theme of the house was that of an insane asylum. So yeah, I was chased around by crazy people who wanted to ‘get’ me. Good thrills, indeed.
Dr. Monkey Orange’s take on Elections
Sucks. The ‘Bush’ Man needed to be trimmed. Alas, it didn’t happen (>_<) Eh. I did my job. The state that I voted in went to Kerry. Well, I shall now cheer to Hillary for Elections 2008!
Dr. Monkey Orange’s brain fart
Today, I shall take it easy. I’ll spend a few hours on some school stuff, and then get ready to go home for a 3-day weekend [no class on Friday, yes!]. At home, I gotta complete my 10-page paper, do some chapter readings, studying for a calculation quiz, go visit my baby cousin [crap, I forgot his name!], and take the siblings to watch The Incredibles. Should be nice.
Ock, I feel SO fricken lazy now!
*throws leftover Halloween candy at the passers by*
   Beware of chocolate sprinkles
Phew!
Finally, I get some free time to visit this place. Every day has been like, 'rush, rush, rush! Do this and do that!'
Midterm, done!
Well, my midterms are finally over with. Overall, I did 'average' work, which is pretty much equivalent to a 'C.' I guess that I can look on the bright side and say that, 'Hey, at least it's NOT a D.' But still, I'm a bit dissappointed since I DID invest a good chunk of time in studying. Oh well. Try harder next time, I guess ^^;;
A cool school Library
Heh! I'm actually sitting inside a very nice study room at my school library. The rooms are usually small, cramped, and have NO windows. Today, I got lucky and was able to reserve a very nice room on the 6th floor -- spacious and WITH a big window *^_^*
In addition, I also checked out a laptop from the front desk! I did NOT know that students can do that! Checking out laptops w/ wireless Internet. Sweet! I'm typing on the laptop right now, too! *^_^*
Pretty good day, so far.
Don't read about contipation while eating lunch
Yep. That's what I DID a few days ago. I was in a hurry to review a chapter before class -- so I decided to read it during my lunch break. Constipation ^^;; And yes, I felt a bit...weird during that entire time.
So, during my Pharmacy Practice lab, I got to inspect various constipation remedies. Interesting. I noticed a particular bottle of 'seeds' that resembled very much like chocolate sprinkles.
*raises a brow*
Interesting. So this guy comes up next to me, and was like 'Whoa, chocolate sprinkles! I don't think that I could ever tell them apart if they were on a donut.' I laughed and shook my head. Duh!
Please. Don't get any bad ideas in your head. ^^;; I just thought that was a funny experience.
What does it all mean in the end?
Last week has been very enlightening, and this week too! I can strongly say that I am fully adjusted to life here at my school. It's gonna be tough, but I gotta keep focused and NOT feel bad. Just keep looking a head, and doing my best with no regrets. *^_^* I can do it too!
And now, I shall go off and visit you guys. I hope that you all have been doing well.
Toodles.
   ...almost there
Okay. I'm sure y'all are probably sick of hearing me talk about school, but...TOUGH! You're gonna hear it again *^_^*
I was FINALLY able to drop my horrid Biochemistry class. Yay! I hated that class SO much. I was always tempted to go up to the professor and slap him around, 'Teach, dammit!' *sigh of relief* Although I'll be free of Biochem this quarter, I must still take the remaining two sessions. It's okay, really.
Interviews went well. Of course, the success of an interview also depends on the attitude of your interviewer. If your interviewer is cool and excited, then the chances of you doing well is high. For me, most of my interviews went rather well. As for the others...I could less because the interviewers were either lazy bums or jack-asses. Eh. I wish good fortune onto myself for the summer ^^;;
At home, I'm studying like hell. Even though I no longer have to worry about my Biochem midterm on Monday, I STILL have Pharmacy Practice midterm. To be honest, I'm not really scared of it -- I just need time to myself to absorb the information.
I like being at home, I do. BUT it can sometimes get pretty noisy because of my siblings. AND when THAT happens...I try very hard to contain my rage. ^^;; It's hard, it is.
Anywho, I bought some manga too! Saiyuki 5 -- oh my gosh! Sanzo looks HOT on the cover *drool* I also bought Chrono Crusade 2 -- great story! Why is it that the manga is ALWAYS better than the Anime? It's true!
Lastly, I watched the Read or Die OVA on Cartoon Network. And I liked it! Who knew that an organization of librarians had that MUCH influence over the well being of the world. Hehe. Highly recommended.
Well, gotta get back to studying. Once Monday is over with, I will definitely feel more free *^_^*
