   Eating Raindrops

You are the pitter-patter of raindrops atop the roof of my life.
When I am all a quitter-quatter, you set my worries at ease.
Out in the rain, I am dancing in circles.
I smile.
My mouth is opened.
What are you now?

I wrote that poem thingy today since it was raining pretty hard. Am I a poet? Hell no! You know what? I don’t even think that poem makes much sense ^^;; It’s amazing to see what results from sheer randomness.

Anyhow, I’m gonna see if there are more envelops to be stuffed today. Laters!

Question for Thought: How do YOU feel about poetry?

-With me, I don't really care much about it. Heck, most of the time I don't even get it ^^;; About the only type of poetry that I understand are limericks, and stuff the rhymes. Yep, I have a pretty simple mind, really. Nothing TOO deep ^^;;

   Evil doctors, a lite discourse

Today I watched some Anime episodes that I missed out last Saturday on Cartoon Network. The shows that I watched were Rave Master and Yuyu Hakusho. Coincidentally, both shows featured the present villain as an insane doctor. When I noticed that, I got kinda excited and laughed to myself. I turned to my sister and said, “You know what? I always love the crazy doctors!” My sister looked at me strangely and replied, “Yeah Ni, you do!”

I paused, and thought to myself – she’s right! Just look at those Anime like Yami no Matsuei with Dr. Muraki and Saiyuki with Dr. Ni [well, despite his strange personality I think I like him ‘cause I share my pet name with him – Ni ^^;;]. Oh, and there’s also Dr. Jakal from Get Backers.

So then, what is it about these looney doctors? For myself, I think that I’m drawn to these doctors because of their confidence and charisma. Uhm, of course such traits can also be attributed to their sheer lack of sanity. When I invision a doctor, I see intelligence, prestige, and a strong desire for experimentation. Perhaps there IS a thin between genius and madness AND THAT’s the reason as to why doctors get portrayed as being evil.

But then again, what is it that leads the doctor to become insane? Power – THAT’s what I think. Power, arrogance, and a massive case of God complex. They KNOW they are needed. They KNOW they kick ass – so why don’t they just take advantage of it, right? Mwahahahaha!

*ahem*

You know, sometime’s I think that life as an evil genius would be quite fun. Fun, indeed. Sadly, I’m not a doctor…of medicine, that is. But give me 4 more years and I’ll become a doctor of pharmacy. That’s right! It’ll be Dr. Monkey Orange. Mwhahahaha!!!

Yes. Evil doctors are cool ^_~

   Survival and Tennis?

As always, thank you guys for your support. *^_^*

I’ve survived college before, so I am quite confident that I will survive grad school! With my family-money problems AND my resolve for getting more loans, I’ll most likely be in debt of over $100,000 bucks when I’m finished ^^;; Ack! It’s a means to an ends! I WILL SURVIVE!!!

If life requires me to be frugal, then I will be! Of course, I’ll do it with style *^_^*

Things that Monkey Orange needs to survive:
-Food
-Shelter
-Family/Friends
-Bishies

If needs be, I’ll just eat less so I can get my daily nutrients in the form of bishies. Hmm…perhaps THAT will be my new diet plan! Hehe ^^;;

Only a few more days left before I move down to campus. I have orientation next week, AND classes the following week. I am SO excited! Only 4 more years!!!

Do you remember my job as an envelop stuffer? I’ve had that job for about a week now, and suddenly I’ve been sorta laid-off! Why? Too many damn people at the job, that’s why? The people there are running low of work to be done. Man, I was really looking forward to the money too! *sighs* Hopefully, I’ll be able to return to work tomorrow.

On a side note, I’ve recently become interested in playing tennis *^_^* Hmm…could this be a result from me watching Prince of Tennis? Maybe. But I blame it on my sister and cousin. Ever since I came back from playing with them at the courts a few weeks ago, I’ve pretty much become excited with playing more. Am I any good? HELL NO!!! I used to play tennis 10 years but now…I’m at beginners level ^^;; …and THAT means I have NO control over my ball. Ah well…all I need is practice right?

Oh and speaking of tennis…here are some pictures of the ever-so-yummy real life tennis bishies *^_^*

Can you guess who these guys are?

Delicious, aren't they? You think I can get them to help me out with some 1 on 1 tennis, eh?

*chuckles*

A fangirl can always dream...

   The woes of money problems!

This past week has been quite insane. As I mentioned before in the previous post, I am currently working! Me, job? It's true. So, what do I do?

The answer: I sign, stuff, seal, AND stamp envelops and letters ^^;;

Although this job can be quite boring at times [especially for me who works from 4pm to midnight], it's still better than laboring in the sun, over a hot grill, or even in a canery.

To tell you the truth, I don't like working much -- 'cause I'm just a natural bum. BUT, this time around I seriously need money. I gotta stop depending on my parents at my old age ^^;; My mum's company is closing down, I'm going off to school, and there are still three other children to care for.

I hate burdening my parents, but there really isn't much else I can do. I'm dirt poor! Well, I figured that I CAN help them out! I'll go up to the Financial people and see if I can get as much loans as I can. Once I've done that, hopefully, they won't have to help pay for my tuition and rent. *sighs* I truly dislike money troubles.

For that reason, I must persevere! I must go to school and do well! Once I've finally become a Pharmacist I will use the money I earn to help them out! Like I said, mum will be out of a job and I still have three siblings...two of which will be heading to college within the next 4 years!

I must, I must, I must hang in!

Money is very important to how one lives his or her life. Money governs how we live in the present and effects how we'll survive in the future. Because of that, we must all make wise decisions that will secure us a good lifestyle in the end.

Trust me. It sucks being poor. I've lived through it before when my parents first came to this country, AND I will NEVER live through it again.

Try not to take for granted the life that you are living. Be thankful for what you have *^_^*

   Vacation, finished!

Ah yes, I love vacations, yes I do!

My family and I went camping in southern Oregon and then drove up to Seattle, WA, then to Vancouver, B.C. Canada and lastly to Victoria, B.C. Canada.

I shall now do a recount of my trip:

Camping in Southern, OR:
Always fun and warm! I was lucky enough this time NOT to get bitten by any bugs ^^;;

While here, our family engaged in kayaking, peddlin-boating, and sandboarding [which is MUCH better than snowboarding!].

I also rekindled my love for fire-toasted marshmallows...mmm...

Onward to Seattle, WA:
This was actually a short trip. We left town pretty late, SO arrived in Seattle pretty late. By the time we reached the Fisherman's Warf the people were already packing up. Quite sad BUT I've already been to Seattle several times ^^;; I also spied a very nice and long poster of Legolas [Lord of the Rings]. I wanted to buy the poster but I refrained -- mum was still around >_<

Next to Vancouver, BC Canada:
Ooo...this was a fun trip! We got to wander around Chinatown and eat yummy Hong Kong style noodles and tasted several SouthEast Asian fruits. I also bought myself some Anime posters -- woo hoo!!

We then ventured through Stanley Park -- one of the World's largest urban parks [it sort of reminds me of Central Park in NYC -- BUT much nicer!!!]. While in the park, we visited many scenic view points and also the Vancouver Aquarium. I got to see numerous colorful fishies, a dolphin, and several belugas! Belugas are SO cute!!! *^^*

Lastly, the beautiful Victoria, BC Canada:
Okay. I loved Victoria -- gorgeous place, but the ferry tickets were so damn expensive, ick! *sighs*

In Victoria, I took my little 8-year old brother to the Victoria Bug Zoo -- which is pretty impressive! On the outside, the zoo looks very dinky and small, BUT the once you enter the small door it's absolutely worth the price of admission. I had seriously NEVER seen such LARGE and STRANGE bugs in my life! Yes, I've seen them on TV BUT this was different! Those SouthEast Asian bugs are so...amazingly large and stange. You MUST visit this place. ALSO, I was very impressed that the entire zoo was run by young women. Yep, they love their buggy critters!

The main reason for going to Victoria is to visit the Buchart Gardens -- you MUST also visit this place! The gardens are amazing and the fireworks show are the best! Actually, I'm mainly in in for the fireworks show -- choreographed with music!

End of the trip?
Yes. That's all! A simple, and fun trip [despite the compliants and nagging along the way ^^;;].

What's ahead for me? WORK! My mom actually had the nerve to force my brother and I to sign-up for work as 'envelop-stuffers' as we headed towards the freeway. I guess she just got fed up with our 'sloth-like' lifestyles ^^;; Hopefully, the timecards will still be there tonight. We signed up to work and don't show up until a week later! Hehe...talk about being late! It's also during the swing shift...ughh...

   Bon Voyage!!!

So I'm finally back home *^_^*

My family and I continued painting the house over the weekend and are still NOT finished =_= Mom fell off the ladder and sprained her ankle ^^;; The doctor said that she should be fine in a couple of weeks. Man, I wonder if we'll have to paint the house in another 5 years? *ponders* Hopefully, NOT!

Anywho, this week I'm gonna try to catch up on watching some Anime *^_^*
-My Kare Kano DVDs came in the mail few days ago, yay!
-I also need to catch up on the last 3 episodes of the dreaded 'kiddy'-fied Rave Master [though, the manga volume 10 was quite GOOD].
-Today I was also able to watch Full Metal ALchemist episodes 2-4. Good stuff.
-Overall, it's nice to be able to watch Anime WITHOUT having to worry about exams and quizzes *^_^*

Ooo...The Daily Show is on! [Ah yes! I now get to watch cable TV at home ^_^!!] I totally love this show. John Stewart is absolutely the best! Good show, show.

ALSO, I have decided that this will be my last post for the next...2 weeks, or so. I'm gonna bum around the remainder of this week and ALSO prepare for my vacation NEXT week. Ahh...vacation...*^_^*

So until then, take care y'all and be good!

P.S. My sister is trying out for Soccer tomorrow -- let's wish her the best of luck *^_^*

   Finished! A summer reflection *^_^*

Finished! I just came out of my VERY last exam for summer session *^_^* Did I do well? Bah, who knows! I'm just happy that it's done and over with.

A Reflection on the Summer:
All in all, although I spent most of my time in school this summer, I still enjoyed it very much *^_^*

By taking the summer session I was able to get back into the 'school-groove' of things which will undoubtly help prepare me for the intense curriculum coming this Fall.

I also enjoyed staying with my Aunt and the 'guru.' During my stay, I was able to study well [b/c of NO sibling noises ^^;;]. I was also given wonderful access to the Internet which allowed me to download various Anime in a short amount of time. And as always, I enjoyed soaking in the liberal and anti-Bush views provided by my Aunt and the 'guru'.

Lastly, I noticed that I did quite a lot of posting on MyO and on other sites this summer. With that, I enjoyed meeting and communicating with y'all. Many thanks to those who have continually visited my site evey now and then to offer comments & insights. I'd also like to thank some of my other online friends who I've develop a closer bond with this summer *^_^* And thanks to those who were gracious enough to send me gifts and to do me favors. Thank you all, thank you all!

This summer session has been a blast. I met new people, and new bishies! What more can a fangirl ask for, ne?

Next week I will be going on vacation, and then massively preparing for Fall term.

So until then, I will continue to enjoy myself [and bishies] as I've always done. *^_^* Y'all should do the same.

Live life!

...And with that said, have a great weekend *^_^*

AND, HAVE A HAPPY THURSDAY!!!

   It's a boy!

*yawns* I can't believe I'm actually on the computer this early in the morning ^^;; This is the last week of classes so my A&P professor pushed back the time of morning lecture from 8am to 9am. BUT, I still get up in the morning at the same time. It's just that I now get a free hour to bum around on the computer on campus.

Not that y'all care, but my weekend was pretty busy...but fun *^_^*
a) I went swimming for the first time this summer *^_^*
b) I went to my dad's company picnic. Sadly, we didn't win anything from the ticket drawing--not even leftover food! Sadness.
c) My aunt gave birth to a bouncing baby boy -- and we visited them! He's SO small!
d) I painted a house in the sun, and finally got to soak up the sunlight that I've been deprieved of this entire summer ^^;; Nice.
e) MyO got over 1000 hits ^_^ No big deal, really.

And that's it. One week left until summer session is over. Once it's done, I'll finally get to do some much needed vacationing. Yay!

FoxBox and Anime: ...
You know, I'm happy that more Anime is arriving in the US but...*sighs* I just can't help but whine a bit ^^;;

I love watching One Piece! But when I think about the 'kiddy'-fication that's coming this fall, I can't help but cringe =_=

FoxKids Promo. I watched the promo for both One Piece and Tokyo Mew Mew...I mean, Mew Mew Power and once again, I cringed =_= Will I watch them? Probably yes, at first. Curiosity. *sniffle* It's a good thing I still have my fansubs to cuddle with ^^;; Oh yeah...Ifyou watched the promo for One Piece, then I think Zoro just called Luffy...'Loofy' Wrong! That's just wrong! Luffy, NOT Loofy!

*sighs*

   Happy Thursday *^^*

The title says it all: Happy Thursday, everyone!

I took my last Math exam today. And do you know what I did afterwards? I took my textbook directly to the bookstore, and in return I got some cash *^_^* Of course, the amount I got back is no where near the amount I paid, but still...ANY money is better than no money.

Now that I think about it, I HATE buying textbooks!!! The cost of tuition and textbooks are what makes college so DAMN expensive! It's been a while since I was in school, so I've gotten used to not buying textbooks. BUT now, I'm gonna have to feel the pinch once again.

I remember one time I bought a Biochemisty book that was $125 bucks! And another time I had to buy an Organic Textbook set w/model for $180 bucks! *swoons* I can already imagine what my bills are gonna be like this Fall *cringes* I don't think Pharmacy textbooks will be priced any differently than other science textbooks, if not even pricier.

Damn. =_= ...such is the cost of higher education. *am suddenly reminded of the total cost of her school loans once she's totally done*

Okay. That's enough complaining from me *^_^*

This weekend I hope to do my usual Anime watching. I have 1 week left before I leave my Aunt's place [thus my access to downloading Anime]...such sadness. Life goes on.

Lastly, I like to pay some homage to my fangirl sister, Shinigami, who always pays me a visit and acknowlegdes my rants. *^_^* Hopefully her computer problems will be NO more!

Toodles.

   On towards the Fall & a Self-Psychoanalysis ^^;;

Well, I have only about 1 more week left of summer session, yay! Only 3 exams [and the usual daily lab quizzes] remaining before I am free of for the summer *^_^* Free for the summer? THAT...doesn't sound right. Eh.

*does a happy dance*

Once classes are done, I have ONE month left [before Fall school], in which I will OR need to:
-go camping.
-get recertified in CPR & get my First Aid card.
-get my teeth cleaned.
-get new eye contacts.
-get new cellphone.
-get moved into my studio.

*giggles* I wonder what the Fall will bring to me? Am I ready to return to the 'Full time' academic life? It WILL be interesting (^_~).

Of Anime & Bishies: Let the Psychoanalysis begin! [Optional Reading]
*sighs* Though I am still downloading, I am still going through my usual withdraws. =_=

When I reflect upon my fangirliness, I think to myself:
'Is this fascination with Anime and bishies, silly? Is it getting out of control because of my percieved deprivation? Am I...loser, because I am entertained by such things?'

And then I thought to myself:
'Okay, self. Let's think this through. What is the extent of this so called obession *cough, cough* 'hobby'?

Okay,
(a)I enjoy watching the shows
(b)I think certain animated male characters are attractive & drool-worthy, though they ARE animated!
(c)Most of the time I wish these animated male characters were real
(d) Sometimes when I'm bored or excited, I fantasize that these animated male characters ARE real!
(e)I've even contructed a website that is entirely dedicated to these animated male characters
(f)LOOK AT THE PICS/BANNER IN MY INTRO!

Which diagnosis should it be?
(a)Everybody needs a vice! Find your vice, and love it death. There is nothing wrong with it!
(b)It's not a vice. It's a hobby. You should tone it down a bit.
(c)This is just silly!
(d)You need to get 'out' more. Get a life, loser!
(e)You need a boyfriend.

*sighs*

I wonder, though. Just how long is this gonna last ^^;;

Eh. And in the end, after I went through ALL that analysis, I still can't diagnose myself! ^^;; Whatever. I'll just continue to wallow in my ways *^_^*
