Mini
Okay. So I finally finished watching and reading the purchases in the post below. They were all very nice ^^
Anime:
Pretear
Overall, I enjoyed watching this series--it was fun. The last volume was full of action and emotion. *tears* I like Himeno because she's such a strong character. She's not overtly strong so that it's unsual, but has does have a lot of determination in her--never giving up and never totally freaking out on a situation. I'm glad things turned out the way that they did. And I forgive Sasame *^^*
.::Cartoon Network::.
Yay! Gundam SEED comes this Saturday @ 1030pm. I gotta set up my VCR [although I HAVE already seen episodes 1- 10]. Hopefully, the dubb won't be too horrid.
Manga:
DNAngel
I am SOO glad that I made the decision to buy this series [as opposed to the anime series]. So far, so good. I haven't been confused like I thought I would be. And the artwork is very nice. Mmm...Dark is yummy! So if A is beginning to have feelings for D, then would D be like by both A and C. What about B? What happened to the square? Oh man, I am soo looking foward to meeting Krad [the total opposit of Dark in everyway]. But Krad won't show up until like the 3rd or 4th volume *sad*
Angel Sanctuary
Can I just say that I am loving this series so far? ^^ It's true! It's definitely a different story as compared to what I've been reading so far. I can already sense that it won't be happy or fluffly--instead, it's gonna be dark and a bit twisted BUT still good epic adventure. You know, it kinda reminds of those ancient Greek Tragedies...If you don't know what I mean then you should read it--I don't want to give too much away. IT'S GOOD. Yes. I've seen the OVAs too. The OVAs, however, were not enough to quench my thirst--THAT is way I decided to pick up the manga series. I am soo excited--I can't wait for the next volume. And yes, the artwork here is beautiful! It's done by the same mangaka who did Boys Next Door--a good, sad, and twisted story about love...*tears*
.::Upcoming May purchases::.
Yep. This May will be tasty. I plan to purchase the following manga:
Fake 7 [end *tears*]
Demon Diary 7 [end *tears*]
Hana Kimi 2
Angel Sanctuary 2
Prince of Tennis 1 [perhaps ^^]
GOOD TIMES

My April Stuff
Wow! What a beautiful spring day! I really wish that this weather will stick all they up till summer ^^
Anywho's, I don't feel like discussing much today so I'll keep it short with some news.
I finally got some stuff that have been on delay.
My April goodies include the following:
Pretear dvd volume 4 [end]
Angel Sanctuary manga volume 1
DNAngel manga volume 1
Yea, I know I said that I wouldn't be getting DNAngel but I caved, okay ^^; So now that I've got the manga, I won't be getting the anime series at all! Besides, like I said before, I heard that the manga story is much better than the anime--mainly because the anime is full of many fillers that end up leaving the story tasteless and blah.
Anime Art versus Manga Art:
You know, I'm usually not that picky when it comes to the artwork of anime/manga versions of the same series. Yes, I'm a simpleton--or so I thought ^^;
Every mangaka has a unique drawing style that distinguishes him/herself from others [they should, or they'd be outta business, right?]. Well, what happens to their style when their manga becomes anime? I, myself, am not entirely sure either. Does the managaka do the anime drawing too? Or do they have others do it?
For me, I like the uniqueness of manga art. So unless the anime art is noticably different than the anime--I tend to not have a problem.
However, I laltey discovered such pickiness with myself. In terms of anime art versus manga art, I find that I dislike the anime art for Yami no Matsuei and Graviation.
For YnM, I just plainly do NOT like how the characters are drawn--wih very few exceptions. The manga art is soo much more beautiful and unique *^^* In the anime, Tsuzuki's hair is a bit long. But that's not the main problem with him. I don't like how his face is extended--long. It looks strange and diminishes his adorability so is soo evident in the manag [I luv Tsuzuki *^^*]. The other art problem I have with the anime is how Dr.Muraki is drawn as well--he looks a bit too old. Why oh why, did they have to put bags under his eyes?!? I don't get it. Muraki, in he manga, is damn sexy ^^ But again, those looks are diminished in the anime. How disappointing.
As for Gravitation...I don't want to be mean, but the art looks a bit genearl. I haven't read the manga yet, but I've seen enough to notice the difference between the art styles. I guess my main problem with how the characters are depicted in the anime is with Shuichi. I like how Shuichi looks in the manga better!!! In the manga, he looks more attractive than outright kiddy-cutie in the anime. But, that's my opinions. I also like how Yuki looks in the manga too. Ahh, well...
Umm...didn't I say I was gonna keep it short this time? ^^;

Ducks!
Ducks! Nah. This entry has nothing to do with ducks. I just called it that because I didn't know what to enter in the 'subject' line.
Let's see:
Anime:
I have decided that I WILL purchase Gravitation this June. Because I love this series soo much, I will make my posessions LEGAL. I also want to see the extras and am curious about the dubbed voices--eventhough, I dislike dubs. This will be my first time wacthing anything done by the RightStuff Entertainment.
I have also added another must get series for this year. I have no clue when the anime comes [the manga is coming out this May] but I know for sure that it IS licensed by ADV. I have decided that I want Chrono Crusade. It's an action/adventure series about these gun-toting nuns that goes around hunting demons. BUT, I mainly want this series because it features two of my most favorite seiyuu: Inuoe Kazuhiko [Eiri, fr. Graviation] and Sho Hayami [Muraki, fr. Yami no Matsuie] *drools* playing as some very nice looking bishies *^^* . BUT, before then, I will try my best to download a couple of fansubs as samples. ^^
I'm not sure if it will happen, but if Full Metal Alchemist ever gets licensed and is released this year--then I'm getting that too. Um, that's it for anime.
Purchase:
Nothing. I'm gonna check my stores again this Friday for Pretear and Angel Sanctuary.

It's April: Part Anime
Today's post is a bit long so I had to cut it in 2 parts. The first part is talking about Manga [see previous post below], and the latter part is about Anime.
Anime:
Okay. I'm a bit drained from writing that manga post below, so this section will be kep to a minimum.
Fushigi Yugi It's done. It's over. And I looved it! I am a girl, so yes, I like romance and I like drama. Like most girls, I occasionally whine and giggle, and experience "blonde" moments. I guess THAT was my defense of the herione, Miaka. I can't say that I eat as much as she does--thank God!--but I honeslty don't think that she's a bad person as a lot of people make her out to be. Come on! She's 16 years old. As a teenage girl, she's allowed to make mistakes, be afraid, and to NOT be the most intelligent person. Heck, she's even allowed to be annoying--as most teenagers are at their age. It can't be helped. And no, you can't help who you fall in love with either. You can't just all of a sudden switch sides [my response to Tamahome vs Hotohori].
As for Yui, yes, she was a bitch. But come on, again, you're a teenager--still innocent to the harsh realities of life. Try to see things from Yui's perspective. Give a little bit more thought into why she's soo BITTER. The poor girl just had the worst case of luck! In addition, she's also psychologically traumatized--which made it so easy for her to be manipulated by Nakago. In the end, I'm glad she did what she did ^^
As for the rest of the story...I really did enjoy most of it. Of course I can't say I enjoyed that sad parts, but it's all a part of the story. Not all stories are perfect and work out in the end, it's just life. If everything worked out in the end, then I'd be questioning it. *tears*
YES. I proudly admit that I loved watching Fushigi Yugi!!! *^^* So there!
Witch Hunter Robin Well, it's over too! All in all, it was okay. Definitely something different. It was a bit slow at first, picked up in the middle, then got a bit slow again. Most of the mysteries were solved... but not all. In the end, viewers were left with a feeling like "Is that really the end?" I'm still curious though. What ever happened to Amon and Robin? Will we ever know? Teehee. ^^ I wonder if the Sci Fi is really going to make this series live action? If they do, then I'd definitely be infront of the TV watching ^^.
Saiyuki Got the 9th volume for my sister. The description sounds interesting. Looks like we''l get to take an even deeper peel into Sanzo's past--and for the others too! ^^
Pretear Ack! This ruined my day. The last volume was NOT in! *upset* I was looking forward to it too! *sighs* I guess I'll just have to wait until next week. *shakes her fist at Best Buy* Darn you!
Mirage of Blaze HEHE!!! A 3-part OVA will be released a bit later this year in Japan. And eventually...it will come to the US...mwahahahaha! I'm quite happy!
-------
Okay. That's it for my anime & manga rant for today.
Here's what I plan to re-watch hopefully starting next week:
Pretear
Mirage of Blaze
Gravitation
X
Fruits Basket
Hehe...That should keep me busy until the summer.
But wait...NOO!!!
Cartoon Network will be showing the following series that I GOTTA watch!
Gundam SEED
Inuyasha
Wolf's Rain
Rave Master
Ock! Well...at least I know that I'll get to watch my Pretear!

It's April: Part Manga
Manga:
Manga-wise, there are some developments. Since my last post, I've started reading two new series: Under the Glass Moon and Gohou Drug.
Under the Glass Moon This is a 3 volume manwha [Koren manga] about two brothers: Luka and Luel. Luka is the older brother. He is also more fashionable and a bit anti-social than his younger brother, Luel. Luka's profession is being one of the most powerful dark wizards of his time. Luel, on the other hand, is almost radically different than Luka. Luel is a genius scientist. He's also quite genki ^^ I like Luel. I gotta say that I like Luel a tid bit more than his brother. *sighs* I love the cuties!
Pretty much this story is about the brothers, their neighbors [who are witches], and some other people. I hate summarizing, so if you feel a bit turned off by what I've said, then please go out and search yourself for a better description. I've read the first volume so far and I really enjoyed it. Story wise, it's gothic/mystery/action. Artistically, it's also a bit different as compared to what I usually read--it's a bit darker. I definitely plan to finish reading this series. Will I buy it? Probably not. I like the story, but I'm afraid that I don't love.
Gohou Drug With the exception of X 1999, I'd have to say that I've never been interested any other CLAMP stories until now. I recently discovered this series. I became a bit excited when I read about the reviews and descriptions, and also when I saw the pictures too ^^! So, playing on my excitement, I decided to do some more research. I found out that this series is one of CLAMP's newest, and is still coming out in Japan. There have been 3 volumes so far, and it apparently takes them forever to come out with a new one [not good].
So what's the story about? Okay here goes my summarizing again: Two guys tossed together by an incident on one Christmas night, now find themselves working together at a pharmacy called the Green Drug. Most of the time, the guys carry out their usual pharm tech duties like filling out prescriptions and stocking the medicine. However, to provide our "poor" guys with some exra cash, the head pharmacist sends them out to accomplish some pretty random and strange tasks like finding a book, catching fireflies, and watching a movie. BUT, like i said before, these tasks are not normal. Luckily our guys are equipped wih some extra powers that are very helpful.
So, who are these guys? Well, there's Riku, the tall, dark, handsome, and brooding type. And then there's the shorter, brown top, a bit more talkative, and sometimes oblivious Kazahaya. The head pharmacist is Kakei--[I really have problems saying his name. Do I stress the first part, or the latter? *confused*]. And lastly, there's Sagai, who I am quite sure is probably Kakei's lover ^^.
I was lucky enough to be able to sample a translated version of the first volume ^^ Yay! HOWEVER, so far the story is alright. It didn't blow me away, but it's still pretty good. I heard that it'll be coming to the US via Tokyopop this October. Who knows, maybe I'll add it to my collection. Teehee.
Angel Sanctuary BAH! It's still not in yet! *tears* I will stop by Waldens Bookstore tomorrow to see if it's finally there. And if not, then I'll just check back next week, and the next.
DNAngel Yes, it's out. Nope. I'm gonna pass on this series. I know, I know. I heard it's a good series. BUT, my money says 'no' and seriously, I don't think that my mind can handle all that transforming, stealing, lubby-dubby, confessional type of story. It's like:
Person A likes B. But if A sees B, A will turn into C. But C likes D. So when C see B, C turns back into A. But C also likes D. However, D likes A. But eventually A turns out liking D. So now, if A wants to stop tranforming into C, then A must confess his new love for D. Oh, did I also mention that B is in love with C who is in love with D who is in love with A? It's a confusing "love circle."

Got my Hana-Kimi!
It's true!
Manga:
I finally got Hana-Kimi 1 today from Waldens Books *^^* I finished reading it and it's wonderful. I enjoyed it very much and can't wait until the next volume. So far my favorite characters [guys] are Nakatsu and Umeda--err...I think those are their names. I also like the main character too. Bah...I read it only once through, so I haven't memorized their name yet ^^; *feels bad* I shall read it again tonight!
Sadly, I found out that Angel Sanctuary 1 will NOT be out until April. But then again, April is around the corner, right? YAY!!!
Hana Kimi and Angel Sanctuary will be my long term purchases--because they themselves are long stories. It's okay, really ^^ The story IS what makes it worth the read AND the purchase itself.
Attention to all: I LOVE ALL MY MANGA! *^^*
Now, I have a dillema that I'm facing. Yes, I plan to add Yami no Matsuei to my library, but I am debating whether or not to add DNAngel as well. *sighs* WHAT TO DO???
On another note, this May...will be the end for Fake and Demon Diary--sadness... *tear*
Anime:
I've finished watching Fushigi Yugi up through episode 19. AND, I now declare that Hotohori is officially my favorite bishie in this series. I like the other guys too [Chichiri, Tasuki, Tomahome & Co.], but Hotohori just stands out more *^^* Gorgeous man, yes he is!!! But you know what's strange? I find myself kinda drawn to Nakago as well ^^; Shh...don't tell my sister!
As for Witch Hunter Robin [episode 17, I think]...finally, an Amon siting! But...I really hope that he's not brain-washed or anything. THAT, would be bad.

It's Official!
Well it's true and now official!
Manga: Yami no Matsuei [Descendants of Darkness] has been licensed by Viz for manga release. The same goes for Here is Greenwood--about time!
All I can say is YAY!!! *^^*
On another note, I am still eagerly waiting for my phone call from Walden Books. Man, I want my Hana Kimi and Angel Sanctuary...and I want them NOW!!! *cries like a baby*
...*ahem*...
Anime: Okay. So far I've watched episodes 1 thru 7 of my recently acquired Fushigi Yugi series. Aside from Miaka's gluttonous ways, I am enjoying the story very much. I am also enjoying Hotohori--Konan's Emperor. Yes, he's narcissitic but I still love him ^^
Hehe...you know what's even funnier? I think my mom is enjoying this show too! It's a bit odd because she usually doesn't even bother watching. But this time she actually sat down and watched with my sister and I. And at the end of every episode, my mom is like "What? Is that all?" Yep. I think she likes it ^^ These types of romantic/historic/action shows are very much like the Hong Kong Kung Fu movies we watched a while back ago.
Witch Hunter Robin. Where the heck is Amon?

It's Here!
Yay!
In addition to being a beautiful day, I also recieved my goodies in the mail!!
Anime:: The complete season 1 & season 2 of Fushigi Yugi *^^* Yes, yes...I'm happy! Both of them are complete with box, and for $40 bucks! What a great deal, really! ^^
Manga: On another note, it seems that I'm not the only one who thinks that the Yami no Matsuei manga has been licensed. I also learned that there's a good possibility that the Here is Greenwood manga has also been licensed ^^
Yep. Good day, overall. I shall begin my watching today *^^*

Pretty Day!
Wow! Can I just say that today is just beautiful! I'm looking out my window and I see sun and beautiful blue skies ^^ Now, if only it was 10 degrees warmer--it would be perfect!
I normally don't post this often during the week, but I just can't help myself. I feel like ranting.
Today, so far...
Anime: I watched Witch Hunter Robin episode 15 from yesterday. And my reaction afterwards was *gasp!* Man, what's going to happen next! Poor Amon. I truly hope that that wasn't the end for him. *tear* I really like Amon. I hope that he'll be okay. *shakes her fists at the Hunters* Darn you all! *sighs* Now, I gotta see what will happen on tomorrow's episode. Ack, I'm in such suspense!
Manga: Nope, my 2 books are not in yet! I spoke with the Waldens Book lady and she told me that they'll be getting a massive shipment in on Friday--tommorrow. Therefore, I shall be expecting some notification in a few days--hopefully.
I forgot to mention before, that I started reading a series called Girl Got Game--the original Japanese title is Power!!. I think the original title sounds much much better. Anyhow, I've currently read up to volume 2--as of today. And I must add too, that I am enjoying this series very much. However, I don't plan on purchasing it soon because of it's similarity to Hana Kimi--a series that I've decided to purchase already.
Pretty much GGG is about a girl who disguises herself as a guy in order to be on the boy's basketball team. It's not her fault! It was her dad's idea to have her live out his dream. Anyway, as it turns out, she's really good at b-ball. But, masquerading as a guy is NOT easy--especially when her roommate is a guy too! She is forced to endure many obstacles like her hiding her period, and hiding her boobs. *sighs* She's truly a brave soul. So yeah, she's rooming with her team mate--who she is starting to develop feelings for ^^
Overall, GGG is a cute and funny read. I definitely reccommend it!
What else? Ah yes, I also read Kare Kano 8 today. Can I just say that Hideaki is soo funny? Here was something he said in the book, "What? How can you say that you like only cute girls? Man, ALL girls are beautiful!" *sighs* He reminds me a lot about Don Juan DeMarco--the self proclaimed, "worlds greatest lover." Also in that volume, I really think that Arima needs to pull himself together. His dark side is getting kinda scary. I feel sorry for Tonami who totally freaks out when Miyazawa comes near him. Oh well, we'll see what happens in the next volume.
You know, I really want my Angel Sanctuary to come in. I need to read something more...dark. Let's see, I've got my action and drama, cute/sweet romance...YES...I need my "darker" reads! Angel Sanctuary will fulfill my needs, I think. The story in that manga combines several touchy themes like religion, incest, and homosexuality. So yes, it will be a dark story told through beautiful artwork and bishies ^^
That's all.

Will I get goodies this week?
*yawns*
I'm about to fall alseep here. But before I go to bed, I shall type up a few words.
Let's see. What's up so far? Hmm...
Anime: I finished watching Vision of Escaflowne volumes 3 and 4. Well actually, I finished watching the 4th volume today. You know what? I forgot to watch the cast interview in volume 3, last week. Dang! I watched part one of the interviews in volume 2 about a month ago, and it was quite entertaining.
I admit, the first time I watched the interviews, I was a bit disturbed. But then again, that show was made in the late 90s so it's okay. After re-watching part one again, I was able to appreciate it more than I did before--hell, I just think that the interviews are darn hilarious & entertaining.
The main interviewer, or the host, was Seki Tomakazu--the guy that voices Van Fanel. When I first saw him, he had on this strange Western outfit, a fake thick black mustache, and fake nasty teeth. I was instantly disturbed. But I decided to hold it out ^^; Luckily, the interview got a bit less disturbing when Seki-san conversed with the guy that voiced Folken, and the ladies that voiced Hitomi and Merle [i forget their names ^^;].
Here's an interesting fact I learned about Seki-san: His first kiss was with a guy in the third grade. ^^; Like I said, the interviews were quite entertaining, to say the least.
But yes, I wanted to watch part two of the interview on volume 3 because Seki-san would be interviewing Miki Shinichiro--the guy who voiced Allen Schezar, and also the ladies who voiced Dilandau [yes, it's a lady] and Milerna. But I totally forgot, ack! Now I must dig it out of the closet and watch it in secrecy or else I'll totally be made fun of for watching strange things!
As for volume 4...I was just sad to see Van hurt after he merged with the Escaflowne. As for Allen...*gasp* Love child? You player! *huggles next to Allen* I still love your hair *^^* Pantene Pro V, ne?
Manga: *sigh*s nuttin yet. Angel Sanctuary 1 is supposed to be out, but I haven't recieved my call yet. As for Hana Kimi 1...wishful thinking.
Other: Guess what? I was lucky enough to buy the complete Fushigi Yugi TV series for $40 bucks! It's used, of course. But still ^^ I'm happy. This will be my first time watching the show in it's entirty. Yes, yes. I've heard complaints about it's over meldramatice, sappy, whiny, blah blah blah. But it's okay. I like fantasy. I like love. And I love BISHIES!!! *drool*
My purchase includes the complete 1st season on VHS; the complete 2nd season on DVD.
I should be getting this package in the mail by the end of this week.
And should my seller be reading this post: thank you so much! ^^ I will treasure my purchase forver *^^*
Okay. Bed time. ZZzzzz...
