::POST-CHRISTMAS REFLECTIONS::
Very busy, but definitely enjoyable. Santa didn't get me many cool things since I had already bought them earlier during the year [Recalls: digital camera, new mp3 player, Phoenix Wright for Nintendo DS ^^;;]. Thus, no complaints.
::WORK::
Excellent. I got some extra money in exchange for being uber busy before and after Christmas $_$ Going to work also spared me from insane Christmas and post-Christmas shopping. Again, no complaints *^_^*
::MANGA::
Lately I've been tiring of reading typical 'shoujo' storylines. Unless there's something 'unique' about the series, then I feel as though they are all the same...which is annoying(>_<). This same view also applies 'shounen'. Yes, I'm becoming more pickier about such materials *^_^*.
I have decided to PEND and DROP a few series from my collection ^^;; Dazzle, Platinum Garden, Tail of the Moon, Anne Freaks and The Wallflower.
::ANIME::
I love One Piece *^_^* I finished watching the Davvy Back arc and now diving into the Water 7 arc, excellent! I did a bit of research and discovered some rather interesting information about Luffy's background -- mainly about his father [Monkey D. Dragon] and grandfather [Monkey D. Garp]. LOL!!! I wonder of the D's will have a bit family reunion sometime in the serie's lifespan. *^_^* I'd love to see that! Luffy, Ace, daddy, and grandpops. Hahaha!!!
::ENTERTAINMENT::
I finished watching a wonderful J-Dorama called Nodame Cantabile. I truly absolutely enjoyed this 11-episode series. Highly reccommended. I shall also been downloading the anime version later this month *^_^*
::ALL-in-ALL::
My holidays turned out nicely. I was able to vegetate, earn some extra money, avoided the majority of the Christmas shopping, hung out with my family, and indulged in yummy holiday delights...Mmm... *^_^* Thank you to those of you who stopped by with your kind holiday greetings *hugs* I hope that you all had a wonderful holidays as well, and a fantastic New Years to come! Happy 2007 *^_^*

::TURKEY DINNER::
Yum, yum. I'm not sure how it happened, but somehow our family has three frozen turkeys at home. Mum wanted to get rid of them so she told me to make a turkey dinner -- and I did *^_^*
I seasoned the turkey and oven-roasted with a delicious orange glace. Surprisingly it turned out very nice and yummy. We also had the typical side dishes: mashed potatoes, stuffing, salad, and pumpkin pie *^_^*
::WORK::
Yosh! The pharmacy manager guy called me with news of additional working hours starting next week. Yippee!!! I'm exciting to finally start earning some moolah again, but I'm not confident with how I'll perform using the new computer system ^^;; Scaryyy.
::LEGEND OF ZELDA - TWILIGHT PRINCESS::
My brother and I did NOT manage to locate the Nintendo Wii. My brother officially called it quits. He eventually gave into his impulse and bought the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for Nintendo GameCube. True, he'll be missing out on the unique interaction with the new controller system, but as the true Zelda-buff that he is, it's the story that matters *^_^*
::WINDY, WINDY::
There was a nasty wind storm in my town yesterday. Lots of debris are lying about. A few black-outs in several parts of the city. Luckily, our part was not affected by the black-out.
::ENTERTAINMENT::
Woo hoo! Nutcracker Ballet this Saturday. Exceeeeeellent.
::ALL-in-ALL::
One week of winter break, gone. Three more weeks to go. But, who's counting" ^^;;

Monday - December 11, 2006
So, how was everyone's weekend?
::CHRISTMAS BREAK SHOPPING BEGINS::
My sister and I helped mum do some Christmas shopping at the mall ^^;; And you all know just how much I love Christmas shopping -- not! The mission wasn't entirely successful but I was just happy we finished for the day *^_^*
::O GAME CONSOLE, WHERE ART THOU?::
And quite sadly, I've yet to track down the Nintendo Wii ^^;; I would really like to purchase one for my brothers this holiday. But...the search is not successful and time is running out.
I have decided to return my unopened cute, pink Nintendo DS Lite. I don't need it ^^;; I only purchased it impulsively so that I can play my Phoenix Wright DS game. I figured that I can always bribe my lil brother to use his DS Lite whenever I want to play it *^_^*
*shakes her head disapprovingly* I SO do not need to take up gaming. Such hobby is very expensive to keep with. Phoenix Wright is my one and only exception. This game is purely for my own entertainmet ^^;;
::FOOD - SIBLINGS UNITED::
Well, it's not really a fight against food ^^;; It's more of a fight against possible "fat gain" during this holiday break. Both myself and brother [the one who returned from the University] have pledged to fight against the fat.
I prefer not to re-gain the fat that I've lost since school started. Whereas my brother wants to lose the fat that he has gained since he started his first school term at the University.
It will be difficult. No gym access + lousy, wet, cold weather + mum's great cooking + easy access to holiday delights = BAD (*_*)
::ANIME::
I watched Bleach 106 and got very excited by the opening sequence. The song was the same, but the image sequence was different. I was like, "That's right! There are only about 3 or 4 more episodes left in this filler arc and then the storyline will get back on track with the manga. Exxxxxxxxcellent." Lovely. I can't wait!
::OTHER ENTERTAINMENT::
I haven't been to the movies since this past summer. I plan on taking the siblings to watch Eragon this Friday. Will anybody else be watching it too? I haven't read the book, but I've heard many good things about the story from my friends.
::ALL-in-ALL::
My working schedule is pathetic >_< It really seems as though I need to put in much more effort in order to get more working hours. *sighs*
Anywho, this week should be a nice week. I plan to do some solo Christmas shopping, continue my hunt for the Wii, develop an anti fat-gain strategy with my brother, and contact a few friends ^^;;
And of course, I plan to visit your sites as well *^_^* Again, have a happy Monday and a wonderful week!
*hugs*

::PROCESSING ERROR
Yes, I guess that MyO just didn't like my Avatar post below ^^;;. I actually posted it yesterday, but there were some complications. And when I reposted again, there were still complications. It wasn't until I added this extra post that it stopped being wacked up.
Whatever.
Yes, Finals Week has been draining. I have one more exam today and then I'll be free. But man, I had NO idea that studying for this exam would be such a pain in the butt ^^;; Sucks.

::AVATAR - THE LAST AIRBENDER::
You should never judge a book by its cover. Well, in the case of Avatar: The Last Airbender you should never judge a series by its country of origin.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a domestic creation produced right here in the United States and animated in South Korea. Nickelodeon is it's mum *^_^*
Many anime fans quickly dismiss the new anime-style series that are currently being produced and released in the US. The arguement is that the US is simply trying to copy Japan in order to suck in viewer ratings.
While the above is most likely true, it doesn't mean that which ever of "those" US series are all terrible.
When Avatar first debuted on Nickelodeon I had the exact same mentality. I was like "And here's another attempt by the US to copy Japan. It's gotta be lame since it's also showing on Nikelodeon." I refused to watch Avatar, period.
But as time progressed, I started hearing impressive reviews about this show. Adventuresome story line. Creative writing. And even character development. Is it true? Is this show not just an empty wannabe?
I finally gave into my siblings constant persuasion and watched it. And...it was actually pretty good. I stand defeated. I confess that I was impressed by Avatar and have now offically become an Avater fan. *^_^*
I highly recommend everyone to try out this show. It is nothing complex but it is definitely more than meets the eye.
CLICK above for more information.
Ahh yes, aren't these Avatar banners pretty? I was quite excited when I found them *^_^*
Toodles.
EDIT: Actually this is a repost from yesterday since my 'comment' thingy was wacko. FINALS WEEK = Me, spaced out ^^;;

::FINALS WEEK::
Japanese:
Written final done yesterday. Not too bad *grins*
Pharmacokinetics:
This coming Thursday. I started reviewing half of the material yesterday. I will finish the other half today and start going over the old quizzes and exams.
NOTE to self: Practice greater self-restraint when bringing the laptop along to study ^^;;
::THE Wii HUNT::
My brother and I decided to go forth with the Wii. Both brothers want it badly, and my curiosity is making me even more excited ^^;; Sadly, the Wii is no where to be found.
The stores I've visited did not have any in stock. Once my bro comes home from the University, he said he's gonna keep calling all the stores until he locates his prey. Sounds good to me *^_^*
BTW, I heard from a "little bird" that the Wii is kicking butt in terms of sales compared to the PS3. *grins* Nintendo forever, baby!
::ANIME::
I managed to burn a bunch of episodes onto discs this past weekend, so my hard drive has more room. I got rid of a few series that I no longer wish to follow because of lack of interest ^^;;

::QUICKIES::
My fall term is quickly coming to an end – which means that I’ll have final exams and such. It’s actually not that bad, so I can’t really complain. Here is my ‘ending’ schedule:
Friday [tomorrow]: Japanese Oral Exam
Saturday Afternoon: Piano Recital
Monday Morning: Japanese Written Final
Thursday Afternoon: Pharmacokinetics Final
I finished Tennis class a long time ago. And my final for Ballroom dance was Wednesday [yesterday]. Luckily I am not working this weekend so I can start studying for Japanese. I also need to study more for my Pharmacokinetics final exam. I did pretty terrible on the second PK midterm so I must make it up in the final round ^^;;
::HOLIDAY ENTERTAINMENT::
And tomorrow will be December. Christmas isn’t that far away. I’ve started downloading some nice holiday music *^_^* I can’t wait to listen to them: The Nutcracker, Peter & the Wolf, and general Christmas Mix.
Speaking of the The Nutcracker I just bought my family tickets to the ballet this December 16th. I’ve seen the ballet years ago and really enjoyed it. The performance and music was excellent. I want to share the same experience with my family *^_^* It shall be my gift to them!
::ANIME::
I watched Asatte no Houkou episodes 3-6. What is this series about? Click here. The description may not sound exciting but it’s actually pretty good. If character development is something you seek in a series, then I recommend this show. Also, on the main character is a pharmacist – that’s right *^_^* But seriously, whenever I look at him I just want to give him a haircut.
Patient counseling: Actually, you should first state the name of the medication and then explain their use.
Patient Counseling: And then explain how/when to take the medication. Good job.
That’s right! White Coats rule!!!

::ANNOYANCE::
I was in the middle of typing up a nice update for you guys until my laptop wigged out on me and rebooted itself. It's not the laptop's fault. It's actually my wireless card that is schizo (>_<). Whatever. I'll keep it brief.
::LOVELY SNOW::
It was snowing early this morning *^_^* Yippee! The sight of illuminate snowflakes falling from the sky and then feeling them on your face is one of my most favorite experiences. I couldn't help but grin as I jogged from the parking lot to the gym this morning. I wonder, though, if it'll keep snowing today or just melt away. Still, snow is pretty *^_^*
::POST THANKSGIVING DAY BREAK::
Nothing too exciting. I had Thursday and Friday free from school. I worked both Saturday and Sunday.
Thanksgiving Day was spent with my huge families. And of course there was a lot of eating ^^;; My brother brought back a friend with him from the University, so we had a guest staying at our home. Nice kid.
Black Friday was busy. Luckily, it was more relaxing this year than previous years. My brother and his minion didn't camp at Best Buy instead they opted for Circuit City. My sister and I met up with them early that morning to help acquire the goods while fending off ravenous consumers. Initially we were successul, but late found out that one item was wrongly purchased and others did not have rebate forms. Sadness.
::ALL-in-ALL::
That's it for this update. The post would've been more interesting if my wireless card didn't wig out earlier. Eh. Today looks to be a good day for a Monday *^_^* I hope that you all have a good day too, and thank you for stopping by *^_^* |

::Weekend Fun::
My family and I got to go watch my brother's orchestra concert at his University this past Friday. He had recently bought a new viola and played it for that event. It sounds very nice -- a rich and dark tone. Coolness. His girlie was also there that night, and they ended posing for pictures afterwards. Heh, it was cute *^_^*
Saturday was my other brother's birthday. My morning started out by going to some computer training for work. After I came home, I had to shuttle my little bro and his friends to the arcade and back home again. Later in the evening, we had lots of family come over for the birthday celebration. It was quite fun *^_^* I love seeing all my relatives.
And on Sunday, I attended another birthday party for my cousins. I ended up leaving early because I had to drive back to the University campus to attend an evening symphony event that turned out be lovely *^_^* Yep, yep. Thus was my weekend.
::Nintendo Wii::
I'm trying to convince my brother to purchase the Nintendo Wii. It may sound silly, but the new controller system is enough to peak my interest ^^;;
That aside, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess looks very good. I've been peaking at the online trailers and like...wow. This game will be bigger, much darker and more detailed. The new controller system will also make this a very interesting play.
The new Super Smash Brothers looks hilarious! I SO want to play as Snake from Metal Gear Solid. I LOOOVE Snake *^_^* You guys should go to IGN.com and check out the trailers for both games.
I admit to being an advocate of Nintendo. I have always been faithful to them [except when I had a fling with the Sega Genesis a while back]. I think that the so-so aspect to Nintendo is the availability of certain selected titles. Despite this, I can always rely on Nintendo for the better $$$ deal and most importantly for a fun & unique experiece. *grins* True strength lies in continual innovation -- unlike some other companies I know of.
::ALL-in-ALL::
I only have a few days of school this week before I go on Thanksgiving Break. It should be nice *^_^* Have a good week, everyone! And thank you for stopping by.
