   Monkey Orange returns from Spring Break Trip #1
Llamas, enchiladas, and guns!
Yep, Monkey Orange just returned from the first of her Spring Break trips *^_^* My numerous family members and I ventured to Northeastern Washington to visit my new uncle’s side of the family.

Do you all remember the wedding I mentioned about less than two weeks ago? Well, this trip was sort of a continuation of the wedding. Meaning? We pretty much went over to his side of the family for another wedding reception that was hosted for his relatives who couldn’t make it down to Oregon.

All in all, it was a pretty fun trip. Although the drive was quite long, just being around his uber-friendly family members made it worthwhile. *^_^*

So then, why Llamas, enchiladas, and guns?
Simple. My new uncle is the first white guy to marry into our family of Asians *^_^* Not only is he a white guy, but he also grew up as a farm boy, which means that he pretty much came from a family of rednecks and hicks ^^;; LOL! It’s all fun, though. He himself is NOT a redneck, in fact he is quite the opposite ^^;; He is very much a farmboy-turned-cityboy-and-computer-geek *^_^*

Despite this, his family remains very redneck – which is NOT meant as an insult! His family [especially his parents and brother] are such VERY nice and generous people. Good people *^_^* and the sweetest rednecks around *^_^*

Again, why Llamas, enchiladas, and guns?
During our stay in their tiny town, his dad nicely contacted a friend and set our entire family up to stay in a beautiful lakehouse up in the mountains. Afterwards we visited his parents home, and got to play around with their numerous Llamas, and an emu! At the reception, we ate a LOT of yummy Mexican food – which we continued eating for the next several days because there was SO much leftover ^^;;

And on our final day, his family took us out to shot guns! Yep, real live ammunition. I got to shoot, and witness, three different types of guns: an AK-74 [relative of the Ak-47], some really scary rifle-like black gun, and a pretty cool looking pistol. Yep, that’s right, don’t mess with Monkey Orange ^^;;

And in the end...
Overall it was a pretty fun trip!

I can’t wait to see what the rest of my Spring Breaks brings me next *^_^*

*sniffs the air*

I smell food, gotta go!

I shall try to come and visit you all today, depending on how quickly I can help unload the car from the trip.

Oh by the way, our new family car is absolutely wonderful. 2005 Honda CRV, color is Silver Moss, and name is Pete. Pete was great during our trip *^_^*
