   Fake OVA
So today I wasn't being much of a bum like yesterday. I did the dishes and folded the laundry--I felt quite accomplished ^^ So, I decided to reward myself before picking up the sibling from school: I decided to watch some anime, the Fake OVA.

Let me just say one thing--I love Fake!. In terms of the manga, I have the first 5 volumes--and in a few weeks I'll be getting the 6th one too! Dee and Ryo are the main characters, and they are wonderful.

Here's a very brief story:
Dee and Ryo are police partners who work for the NYPD--and they're excellent detectives who gets the job done. Aside from solving crime together, they are also attracted to eachother. Dee is pretty much the agresser in the relationship, while Ryo is still trying to figure out his own feelings. Pretty much the series revolves around those two guys working with eachother on cases and figuring out their personal relationship.

Of course, you also have a bunch of other wonderful characters who provide great comedic support, like Bikky [Ryo's 'foster' kid], JJ [Dee-obsessor], Berkeley [who is also interested in Ryo], and Diana [a kick-ass FBI agent].

Together, these characters and the stories make the series very satisfying. Yes, the story is Shounen-Ai but it's by not very graphic by means of Yaoi--there's some touchy-feely and kisses, but that's it.

Fake OVA:
It's only 1 hour long, so it's not like you can get to watch the entire story. The OVA centers around the first story in volume 2 of manga. Because of that, viewers miss out on some of the other characters I mentioned before, like Diana. Still, it's a good watch. I love the opening theme--very catchy [Everybody Shake it Buddy!]. Overall, I recommend this movie to all the Fake and Shounen-ai fans. And even if you haven't read Fake before, I still suggest that you try it out.

Okay. I gotts pick up the kids.
