My April Stuff
Wow! What a beautiful spring day! I really wish that this weather will stick all they up till summer ^^
Anywho's, I don't feel like discussing much today so I'll keep it short with some news.
I finally got some stuff that have been on delay.
My April goodies include the following:
Pretear dvd volume 4 [end]
Angel Sanctuary manga volume 1
DNAngel manga volume 1
Yea, I know I said that I wouldn't be getting DNAngel but I caved, okay ^^; So now that I've got the manga, I won't be getting the anime series at all! Besides, like I said before, I heard that the manga story is much better than the anime--mainly because the anime is full of many fillers that end up leaving the story tasteless and blah.
Anime Art versus Manga Art:
You know, I'm usually not that picky when it comes to the artwork of anime/manga versions of the same series. Yes, I'm a simpleton--or so I thought ^^;
Every mangaka has a unique drawing style that distinguishes him/herself from others [they should, or they'd be outta business, right?]. Well, what happens to their style when their manga becomes anime? I, myself, am not entirely sure either. Does the managaka do the anime drawing too? Or do they have others do it?
For me, I like the uniqueness of manga art. So unless the anime art is noticably different than the anime--I tend to not have a problem.
However, I laltey discovered such pickiness with myself. In terms of anime art versus manga art, I find that I dislike the anime art for Yami no Matsuei and Graviation.
For YnM, I just plainly do NOT like how the characters are drawn--wih very few exceptions. The manga art is soo much more beautiful and unique *^^* In the anime, Tsuzuki's hair is a bit long. But that's not the main problem with him. I don't like how his face is extended--long. It looks strange and diminishes his adorability so is soo evident in the manag [I luv Tsuzuki *^^*]. The other art problem I have with the anime is how Dr.Muraki is drawn as well--he looks a bit too old. Why oh why, did they have to put bags under his eyes?!? I don't get it. Muraki, in he manga, is damn sexy ^^ But again, those looks are diminished in the anime. How disappointing.
As for Gravitation...I don't want to be mean, but the art looks a bit genearl. I haven't read the manga yet, but I've seen enough to notice the difference between the art styles. I guess my main problem with how the characters are depicted in the anime is with Shuichi. I like how Shuichi looks in the manga better!!! In the manga, he looks more attractive than outright kiddy-cutie in the anime. But, that's my opinions. I also like how Yuki looks in the manga too. Ahh, well...
Umm...didn't I say I was gonna keep it short this time? ^^;
