Faith was wasted away...
Hello again all. I have wonderful (maybe) news! I've finally returned to OB! ^_^ Version 7, which definitely kicks... yeah, seems to allowed me to log in and post. I'm so happy. And I get my ring this Friday! ^_^ And I'm going to the ring dance, provided I can find a way home afterwards. And I've been on a complete and utter art high. (translation: I can't seem to stop doodling then adding more and more to the doodles until they become sketches.) Unfortunately, that won't help my chances of getting into art at school. In the 'hallowed' halls of Prendergast, anime- and manga-styled art is frowned upon as being "cartoony" (as in American cartoony). BLASPHEMY!!!! Anyways, I'm uploading a few pieces (or maybe just one) I've recently finished now, then I'm off to DA. Hope you've enjoyed my pointless rantings.

Sing My Sorrows, Burn My Candles
That'd be the title of my newest piece of poetic...poetry... Anyways, it's inspired by AFI's Sing The Sorrow and the lyrics in it are from "The Great Disappointment". Enjoy.
----
Sing My Sorrows, Burn My Candles

When the beautiful stars fall from the dark night sky,
will you catch them for me?
Or left them slip through your fingers,
like the sands of the desert?

When the glowing ashes leap from the wide mouth of the volcano,
will you left them burn my flesh?
Or protect me and burn,
let the tears fall from my eyes?

"Never never wanted this/Always wanted to believe/Never never wanted this"

Be it the crying stars or the angry ashes,
will you be there for me?
Or so very far away,
let what may happen be?

My wounds will tell you my story.
My scars will sing their laments.
My eyes will play a moving picture.
My mouth will remain silent as always.

"Never never wanted this/From the start, I'd been decieved/Never never wanted this"

Let the wounds continue.
Let the scars chorus.
Let the eyes finish.
Let the mouth stay.

The tales never end.
The songs never cease.
The credits never roll.
The closing never opens.

O! Stars! Sing my sorrows!
O! Ashes! Burn my candles!
----
That'd be it. In other news, I got out of school early today. Yay! Unfortunately, the bus came so late it didn't really matter anyway. ~_~ I Knew I should have stayed at Penn Wood... And assessments start tomorrow. Here be da schedule an' what I's be doin' in each:
Wendesday: English (vocabulary) and Modern America (Spanish American War to the 1920's)
Thursday: Pre-Calc (conic sections, logs and exponents, sine/cosine/tangent/cosecant/secant/cotangent, and...something else...) and French (household chores and things used for them, physical attributes, and...some other stuff...)
Friday: Physics (Newton's three laws and related topics) and Theology (who cares? I don't pay attention anyway and I missed it because I got out "early".)
Well, that's my hell for the rest of the week. I handed in my Chorus assessment today. 'Change Les Miserables into a high school concert in sixty words or less and cast it using the current chorus but the the exact same people from the play' (it was the school show a year or so ago). o.O How do I do it again...? Well, I have to go study soon so I'll wrap this up ... done!

Hmm...
Two things have happened recently.
1. I've started a poem about the Three Wierd Sisters from Shakespeare's Macebeth, but I've reached a bit of writer's block. So far, it's about how they know the prophecies and how they feel about Macbeth's betrayal. The second might be what they do after the play, but I haven't finished the play yet either. Here it is anyway. The three dots are just marking where I'll add the rest.
Prophetic dreams plague our nights
Makes us hagard
Distorts our features
Over the millenia we have tried to use our gift for good
But the years have twisted us
Made our purposes darker
Made us forget our original goal
Now we watch tell truths to others
Our cryptic mannerisms puzzle and confuse them
Then we watch them struggle
Watch them turn on each other
Laugh as they listen rapt to the serpent
Snicker as they bite into the apple
Now the blood flows dark from their deeds
And they struggle with the consequences

"Fair is foul and foul is fair"

...

"Through the fog and filthy air"
2. I'm considering summer colleges and finally found one I might apply for. (Two actually). Anyways, the only problem is that it's in Stanford, California. And I don't know how much it is yet. The other is at Harvard (almost an entire country closer), but it's QUITE a lot of money. Somewhere in the range of my entire high school education... See my problems? I could use a hand here.
In other news, quarterly assessments are coming this week... I DON'T WANNA DO THEM!!!! But they will give me more time for art and writing, so I guess I'll be able to take them another year and a half...
Well, that's it for now. Do your usual, whatever it may be.

Evil Nuns and Embarssment Beyond Mortification
If anyone really cares, I wrote a poem about a week ago on my first impressions on Lady Macbeth. One of my friends told me that I should give it to our English teacher for her to read. I said fine, thinking I might get some extra credit before the assessment. Little did I know she'd read the poem for every single one of her junior classes. WHY?!?!?! Then, I find out she's trying to fail my friend who basically made herself sick because of a project for her class. I'll add more tomorrow in school if I get time.

I followed my own advice and changed this into an entry. I'm applying for the next three SATs and the ACTs. After I eat dinner, actually. And maybe a scholarship or two. And I can't post in anything on OB again... *grrrr* Just when I finish my signup for White Lasin and a new sketch! Life must be conspiring against me. But I'm making a movie poster for my English project on Frankenstein! YAY!!! Life ain't too bad sometimes. And we're filming one of those behind-the-scenes, make you go see the movie HBO-type specials! ^_^ And we get to pick stars for the roles in the movie. Here's who think:
Johnny Depp: Victor Frankenstein (He can pull off the deep, slightly demented character that drives himself further into madness thing. Just look at From Hell.)
Orlando Bloom: Henry Clerevel (He's almost exactly how I envisioned Henry! And I love him! ^_^)
Sean Connery: M Frankenstein (He's just perfect. That's it.)
Well, that's all I have and there's still one more lead or so to pick. (Elizabeth and Ernest... and William... and Justine...) Well, I gots work to do! That's all for now.

just shibbin'
Yup, I've finally come back. I was a bit preoccupied by the various games and CDs I've brought recently. KH and Tekken Tag, Kessen 2 (wartime strategy set in feudal China. I thought it was a fighting game but it sucked me in anyway.), Xenosaga Episode 1: Der Wille Zur Macht (and that bit of German means...?), The Legend of Dragoon (from PSone days but I like it so far. And it was only ten dollars), Devil May Cry (already died about five or so times. Yay! *sarcasm*), A.F.I.'s 'Sing the Sorrow' (mostly because of Ash. Thankies!), Pink's 'Try This', and Yellowcard's 'Ocean Avenue'. Hooray for the Christmas giftcards and money! Ciao, Shibbers!
PS: TWO MORE MOTHS UNTIL MY RING!!!! *dances around senselessly*

Kingdom Hearts
It's official. I'm clinically insane. While I'm sure most of you, especially Wondershot, will say you've known that for a good long while, let me explain. I just, as in three nights ago, got my PS2 with Kingdom Hearts and Tekken Tag. (shibby, shibby) Now, I'm stuck in a certain part of KH and am currently printing an 81-page full FAQ/Walkthrough I found. But I'll never say where...okay, it's Neoseeker. Anyways, I have that and three 20-or-less page FAQs/cheats. Think I'll lose now? Oh yeah, that'd be a definite. Anyways, I still have to finish reading Frankenstein for school and then there's FFX and FFX-2 which have been screaming my name. And I finally have the money AND the system. But not the time. Yup, I'm in my own little mini-Hell right now. The only reason I'm posting now is because I have the time. Okay, bye now.

You are...OtakuBoards.
You are...OtakuBoards!

You're a little of everything, and them some.
You're definitely a dynamic site--you've gone
through six version changes in less than
three years, and are eagerly awaiting version
7. You offer discussion on an
incredible range of topics and
interaction with some of the most
intelligent anime and gaming fans
around. You're a friendly site, full of
community spirit. Some may not agree
with your rules, but everyone appreciated the
atmosphere you provide.

Which theOtaku site are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
Also, I have a quiz of my own. Which Hogwarts Student Are You? (Present) I was going to make one for the Marauders' Era and ... before that, but changed my mind. I think it's done, if not, please leave me a comment here. Thanks much!
EDIT: Okay, don't take the quiz yet. It's not finished. It'll be done by tomorrow or Monday at the latest.
Anyways, I went shopping today. Went to a nice sized outlet center. Came out with two pairs of Vans, white/red and white/light baby blue. Oh yeah, I'm a great shopper. Also got a PS2 finally and was playing Kindom Hearts and Tekken Tag (came with system). Now I feel very deprived of my RPG... Sniff...
