Waah! Thank you very much for commenting on my gb n_n First off the bat, I really love your site *u* So pretty and happy! Aaaand you asked about any secrets I have about cging... well, I don't really think of them as secrets but I can definitely give you a few tips as to how I cg... each artists probably finds a slightly different way to colour pictures ^^ I hope you have photoshop though, cause that's the main program I use XD Umm, first I make the lineart in illustrator and all of the base colours/shading. You could probably do this in photoshop buuut, I don't know how to use the pen tool in photoshop *swtswt* The pen tool is what gives you those really smooth, straight lines n_n When I've done with all the base colours I copy each layer over to photoshop... my main emphasis is LAYERS and LOTS of them! (e.g. I use a separate layers for the base hair, shaded hair and the light highlights in the hair) It's really helpful... and name them so you don't get confused >: Once in photoshop I manly use the blur/smudge tool to make the shading smoother XD AND, lets not forget the BURN and DODGE tools!! They're wonderful :'D I hope that helped a little ^^; Probably the most important thing you can do is keep practicing and looking at other people's art to try and pic up more techniques n_n Good luck with everything and if you still have more questions just PM me...
