Watching Eureka 7 seems to make everything better... Despite the fact that I have no idea what's going on. I've only been watching since ep. 22 or so. I dunno, I just really like the show.

mah, anyway... point is, I'm in a better mood now. So... yeah. ja ne or something.

*sigh* I don't really feel like talking to anyone right now. The only thing I actually want to do at the moment is write this and listen to music. This isn't really a rant, but... well, I feel like I need to say what's been bugging me.

For starters, there's Baten Kaitos Origins. Yes, I know that you probably think I'm crazy for getting depressed over a videogame. I dont' care what you think, it's the way I am.

I was doing pretty well earlier today, and making a lot of progress on sidequests and such. A lot of it actually made me really happy.

But then... well, I made it to disk 2, and foolishly saved right beforehand (when it was too late to get out of where I was). Following a short cut scene is a ridiculously unfair boss battle. 1 big bird and 2 smaller ones. Kill the smaller guys, and the big guy just lays an egg that hatches a new one after about 30 seconds. You can destroy the egg before it hatches, but it's hard. And no matter how much you damage the egg, the little bird hatches with full health. Total crap.

So I can't kill the little guys faster than he can make them. I decided on the strategy of killing one bird, then focusing on the big guy, then killing the next little guy that hatches. So there's always one little bird and the big one. Sounds simple, right? Just a little healing here and there, and it should work fine. Should work fine. But nooo.... the little bird that I ignored started healing the big bird. I had no idea they could even do that. And there's no freaking way I can kill both little guys, then focus on the big guy... because by the time I've killed the two of them, he's layed an egg to replace the first.

If I hadn't saved beyond the point of no return, I wouldn't have this problem. I could have gone back and trained on some enemies and stuff first. But I can't now. It... really sucks.

Almost exactly the same thing happened to me in the first game, only... well, I won't bore you with the details of that one. (and it wasn't nearly as hard, just... annoying.)

Unfortunately, it seems that the only way to remedy this problem is to... start over. Yeah. I'm going to keep trying, but if I haven't beaten him by midnight... I'll go back to the beginning.

Anyway, so that's mainly why I've been sad today.

The other stuff... well I was just sad because none of my plans were working out... And we're not going to the cider mill this weekend. I was really looking forward to it... ugh.

well... I'm gonna go try this boss for a while now. g'night.

sigh... I feel a bit sad today. I'm not quite sure why... I guess it's because I was looking forward to having people over for the entire day yesterday, and it didn't happen. I can't have them over today, because I think there's movie night... And it looks like the cider mill thing isn't going to happen. We just haven't planned it very well, I guess.

I can't do anything next weekend, because I'll be at my dad's. And by the weekend after that, it'll probably be way too cold to do anything. Ugh.

well... I'm gonna go laze around and stuff. seeya.

edit: I've decided to call people today, to try and set stuff up for tomorrow. It might not work, but it's at least better than no plan at all. So I'm in a better mood now and stuff. Yeah.

Still slowly making my way through BKO...

I was going to have some friends over today, but it turned out that none of them could come. Oh well. I suppose I'll just have to have them over some other time.

I hope that we can at least make it to the cider mill this weekend... I really want to go with my friends. I don't think we can put it off any longer... I mean, it's the middle of October and it's already snowing. It's getting too cold too fast. Blarg. Stupid Michigan. *sigh*

anyway... I'm gonna go to bed now. baibai.

Oh man, Freezepop is such a good band. Thier music has a very calming effect on me. And stuff. So I'd recommend that anyone who reads this should check 'em out. They're synthpop, by the way. Which is probably why I like it, it sounds just like VGM.

I don't really have anything to say... again. Just felt like posting.

FUUUUUUCK

akadfjal;ieuackopnwedfouaec

I hate cloud passage! argh! It's by far the worst area in the game thus far!!

You start out chasing some kids near a river. They can't cross, so they use a machine go up into the clouds. But you can't use that part all the way, so you have to go back down, and come back up, etc. until you get to the end. All the while chasing these stupid ass kids.

At one point, you have to start using a mirror to disintegrate rainbows by shining light on them. Because for some reason rainbows are pretty much walls.

The place drags on fucking forever, with no save points at all. If you want to save, you have to go all the way back through the crapload of enemies, and back to the city. Then fight your way through them again, just to get back where you were.

You can probably imagine that it's pretty much a hellhole. But... I got so much stuff... a million level ups, new weapons, new... well, other stuff. And I just got another freaking game over. All gone now. I don't remember where to get most of that crap now. Hell, I left the gamecube on over night, just so I could go to bed without having to kill my progress. And it got killed anyway.

Whoever made this level needs to be fucking shot.

So uh, yeah. I eventually beat that other boss... barely. Now I'm on a completely different one, but I have a much better grasp of the game and stuff.

I actually really like the screwed up battle system now! It's kinda neat once you get used to it. And I no longer blame them for only letting you use 1 healing item per turn, since you get completely healed after every battle. If you could use more than 1, it would be pretty unfair, ne?

anyway... so that's good.

Oh yeah, homecoming was this past weekend. It was okay. I didn't have a lot of fun, but it was a nice diversion from normalcy I suppose. I just wish that they played something other than rap at the dance. Oh well.

So yeah. Not much going on. ja ne.

AHHHHHHH

I freaking hate Giacomo. So much.

Y'know, that asshole from Baten Kaitos. Yeah.

In the original, I could defeat him with 2 characters without much trouble.

In Origins, he's like 13, and he wipes the floor with 3 people. Wtf?

Maybe if I could use more than one healing item per turn. The battle system is screwed up. Use anything other than a weapon and your turn is over. Not that they actually take their turns right after you pick the cards, of course. No, they wait about 10 seconds, giving the enemy more than enough time to kill them, in effect discarding that entire attack that I had planned. Fuck.

Anyway. So yeah, this new battle thing is going to take some getting used to. It's okay otherwise, though. Meh.

(at least it heals you completely after every battle; otherwise it would be a steady stream of game overs)

I don't have anything else to talk about. so yeah, bye.
