   Dark Wings (next page)
I looked over at Alex in shock, and he was smiling differently at me now, more…darker, almost.
“Are you doing that?” I asked in awe. He nodded, and leaned over.
“Yes, Kimari, I am here to help you,” he whispered into my ear.
“Who’s Kimari?” I asked, frozen in place. He moved back and looked into my eyes.
“The bonds are still there, faint, but still there,” he said under his breath, almost too soft for me to hear. My eyes widened as I looked into his, the blue now mesmerizing.
“Come with me,” his voice was now seductive, but I didn’t listen, my eyes held captive by his. Now knowing why, I glared at him, which surprised him, and he looked away.
“What did you say?” the words were out of my mouth before I could stop them.
“We need to get to class,” he said, looking around the cafeteria. The bell had rung, and we were alone.
I looked over at the clock and cursed, “We’re late for class!”
“None of them wanted to get close enough to tell us that,” Alex said, still sitting.
I glared down at him, since I had gotten up to leave, “Because no one cares if I’m late.”
When he looked up, his eyes were less powerful than before, “Want to skip class with me?”
“No if you were the last person I could speak to,” I snapped, walking away. Since I was just missing Pre Calculus, I walked towards the student parking lot. Upon hearing Alex running after me, I spun around to confront him.
But there was no one there.
‘Crap, now I’m just scaring myself,’ I thought, angry at myself, but I could still fell the presents of something…or someone behind me.
As soon as I got to my car, he was waiting inside it.
“How the hell did you get into my car?” I snapped at him. It was locked before I got out here, and it was locked now.
“It’s a secret unless you drive me somewhere,” he said. I rolled my eyes and got in.
“So tell me, how did you get in here?”
“I turned into a shadow and came under the door,” he said, now smiling, “Oh; I always wanted to tell someone that.”
“Don’t [insert curse of your choosing] with me here,” I snapped, “How, really, did you get into my car?”
“I did exactly that. I was sent from the spirit realm to get you,” his smile widened. “They say that the bind is breaking, and quickly. They told me to bring you right away, but I want to let it break.”
“What?”
“I want to see what happens, and I am a friend. Those old guys are getting annoying, and way to over powerful. Only you can hold them down and not get a big head,” he looked me in the eye, and I understood everything, somehow.
“But, what does any of that have to do with me? What is ‘bound’?” I asked and he burst out in laughter.
“You are…well, not you…but your true self is bound. You are the strongest vampire in the council, or at least that the council knows, so they saw you as a threat. Or at least that’s what they say,” Alex leaned over towards me, and thinking quickly, I shoved him back into his seat. I could feel something breaking, snapping almost, inside of me.
‘The binds,’ I thought. Turning on the car, I rolled out of the parking lot. I tried to focus everything on driving.
“So, where are you taking me?”
“I thought you could come up with something,” I said, still looking forward. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him nod.
“How about to your house?”
“How did you know that I lived alone?” I asked.
“They told me,” I nodded as he talked, “They can see everything, except what goes on in your house somehow.”
“And what do you think about that?”

just more on Dark Wings (which isn't a fanfiction, if any of you haven't noticed that yet...)
