Been a While
It's certainly been a while since I posted on here, I've been really busy with university the last couple of months and I just forgot about myOtaku blog.
A few things have changed on here from what I can see, you can have pictures in posts now :)
If anyone can tell me how to have a custom background on my post page please let me know :)
Anyway, university has been going well, I've made some friends :) and I am enjoying the student life.
I am feeling a bit swamped by all the assignments we've been given, I have 4 on the go and I have to give a formal presentation tomorrow, which I haven't even practised yet :S
My programming assignment has gone well (C programming) I have 95% of thw code working, commented and kind of debugged ;)
I just have to write the pseudocode for it now, which is basically an english version of the code.
The course is alot more difficult than i expected but there's nothing like a challenge, and it's very rewarding when you finally solve a problem :D
I finally got this new PC working that I was given, it took 2 months to solve the problem (stupid technical support), they sent out the head repair manager (mike) and he re-installed Windows XP Home which solved the network card problem and let my use the net :)
After a few hours on the net, the damn PC caught the MSblast worm, which (with the help of mike) I was able to get rid of, phew.
I also bought a Dreamcast off eBay, which was a nightmare. Took 3 weeks to get here, only after I had chased up the seller to the point that he was probably sick enough of me to just send it.
It came with no power or TV leads so I left a complaint on eBay :p
Luckily, during the time I was sick of waiting so I bought a fully boxed, great condition Dreamcast with 2 pads, 4 games and a memory card out the local paper for £25.
Quite a bargain since the one on eBay cost me £50 (£15 of which was P&P, RIP OFF!!!!)
I'm now keeping that one for spares incase anything goes wrong with the decent one.
It's a great little console, been playing Sonic Adventure on it for ages, I have got another 13 games for it, I'm sure I'll get round to playing them eventually :D
I am still watching loads of anime, when I find the time. I got distro access (donated $30) to a encoding group (Legacy-Anime on DC++) so I can get loads of anime (full metal panic, kenshin, hack sign, SDK).
Full Metal Panic and Kenshin are my favourite ones at the moment, I'm upto Kenshin 31 and FMP 12 and they keep getting better.
Hopefully I'll be able to upgrade my 'net connection to 600kbit next year, GoodBye hard drive space :D
Another thing I'll mention, I got on a clinical trial at a hospital 30 miles from here, it's to do with atopic eczema, which I have severely. They hope to be able to turn the eczema "OFF".
If you want to read more about it then here is the Link TextTrial Info
Back to the present, today I'm going to buy a shirt, tie and a pair of smart trousers for my FORMAL presentation tomorrow, I'm doing it on Dell Computers.
Might get my hair cut as well, my fringe (I think there called bangs in USA) is getting too long to stick up with gel.
I'll put a pic of myself on here when I can afford a decent digital camera (next student loan payment).
I think that's enough for now.
Bye.
