Recently, I have developed a great interest in music. I have been practicing my guitar more often then usual. I have also found some new favorite bands such as The Used, My Chemical Romance, Arcade Fire, The Shins, Death Cab For Cutie, and Ok Go. I also went to The Used’s website and sent them a message. It was a joke message. I think I actually sent them 2. I forgot. But I’m sure I’m not going to get a response from The Used. I also went the My Chemical Romance’s website and sent them a message. Once again, it was a joke message. My friend from school made a point by saying that the messages that get sent to them probably go directly into the “Junk Mail” folder.

Did any of you hear that the government wants to start calling Christmas trees “Holiday Trees”? I’m like, “What other holiday would you have a Christmas tree?” It seems really stupid. My friend from school said that her mom told her about the tree thing and she said, “That’s stupid. That would be like calling the menorah “Holiday Candle Holder”” That would be funny.

I was talking to my friend on AIM; she said that I was as helpful as her cat. Then she told me that her cat got its head stuck in a plastic bag and that she laughed at her cat. Then I responded with, “Just you wait until you get your head stuck in a bag.” Then we started laughing and she said, “I can picture David* doing that. He’d call me and say, ‘Jeanine, I got my head stuck in a bag again.’” Then we started laughing again. I drew a picture of that. I might post it later.

My and my friend, Lindsey, went to go see The Chronicles of Narnia yesterday. It was pretty good. It followed the book almost exactly. I guess that’s because the book itself was pretty short. I didn’t like how there wasn’t any blood or anything, even during the war scenes. That made me mad.

My mom got really mad/upset with me the other day (Friday). We were at the mall and everything was ok at first. We went through Belk’s and she made me try on some jewelry. Then we went to the Food court and got some food (duh.) Then we started walking around because I needed to get a plain Whit, button down shirt for my violin concert ton Tuesday. So we were walking and suddenly she started talking to me. I don’t really remember what we talked about, but she started to get mad at me. I started to notice how made she was as we walked around the stores so I suggested that we just leave and I’d get my dad to take me out later to get a shirt. She said yes so then we left. In the car ride back, she was really pissed off at me. I have no idea why either. So she started telling me that I was rude and selfish. Then she said that if I don’t care what I get for Christmas, they’ll just give me the money and let me go buy “freaked out clothes” I started to get mad at her, but I just sat there. So when we got home she just pulled up to the drive way and told me to get out and go get my dad. So I did. I went in side and told my dad that she was outside and that she was mad at me and that she wanted to see him. He said ok and walked outside. I went up stairs to lie down on the sofa because I had been having a weird pain in my ribs all night. Both of my parents stayed outside in the car for about 15 minutes. Then my dad came back in and my mom drove off. He came up stairs and asked me what all had happened. I told him my side of the story and he told me some reasons why she was upset. I few minutes later my brother got a call on his cell phone, it was my mom. She asked him to come out to the car because she wanted him to come with her to look at the house decorations. She apparently enjoys doing that. He agreed and that left me and my dad alone for about 10-20 minutes. Me and my dad began to talk. By the end of the night, we were at the same place we started; My mom was still upset, she still doesn’t like my choice of clothing, and she still thinks I hate her. I was some-what annoyed by what all happened. No problems had even been resolved. But that tends to happen very often.
