Yay!! Tennis!!
Tennis conditioning is really tough, but also a whole lot of fun because all the girls there motivate each other and are really friendly. It was pretty cold for the past couple of days and that was good because we didn't have to work out in the blistering heat we had. I'm getting better at my strokes. For some reason, I always get tense when I play and I think that throws me off a lot. (I need to relax. Maybe take yoga.) I gotta get rid of my baseball swing so that the tennis ball doesn't travel too far and high. The only good thing I've heard about me so far was that I have good angles. Meaning I can hit the ball far away from my opponent at an angle to were she can't get it. Go me. Anyway, my tan got darker on my legs and now I have a sock tan. My feet are so white especially for a Filippino/Spanish girl like me. At least conditioning gets me back into shape. My legs are so rock hard.

Damn Global Warming!!
The West Coast is really taking a beating from this heat wave. Saturday was the hottest day so far. (113 degrees!!) I wish I was in Germany right now besides here in California...I bet it's not hot over there. But I REALLY wished I was in San Diego for Comic-Con 2006.

While I'm on the topic of comics, on Sunday I went to Border's to buy my Ultimate X-Men comics and I spent 50$ on them. There are like over 70 issues out and I only have...(*counts Ulitimate X-Men comics*)...exactly 20 issues so far. Ha, only over 50 more to go!! With the weather being so hot over here, I actually filled the bath tub with cold water and read in there. I almost dropped my comic in the water!! (I would've been so pissed if I did!!)

Besides being a nerd in the dangerous heat, I survived my first week of tennis conditioning. Well, we condition in the morning when it's not so hot. (78 degrees at 9:00am!!) I learned all the strokes, but when I first hit a ball it kept going over the fence!! But today I did pretty good at hitting. (I noticed that I'm better at the back hand stroke than fore hand.) I still have a junior racket though and I need a new one. Normal rackets costs 80$ and up!! I just have to wait for my first paycheck.

Speaking of jobs, I start tomorrow morning so I have to skip tennis. It's actually only my orientation, but they still pay me during that time. I just hope I'm not in the heat for too long. (Geeks and nerds can't take the heat.) Six Flags Marine World is well known among high schoolers here that they can work you like dogs. It has received the name as "Slave World." But it pays so I can't complain.

Geez, this is a long blog...Well, that's all for this week. If I'm not back next week, then I probably died from a heat stroke or heat shock.

   Cosplayers working at Six Flags Marine World playing tennis telling jokes.
My female Squall/Leon costume is nearly finished. The Lion Heart necklace came in today and it's perfect. I imagined it a lot bigger though, but the size is satisfactory. *Wink Wink* *Nudge Nudge* All I need are some knee-high boots with belt buckles and the jacket. If I can't find any boots, I have back up shoes. (My Nike 20s.) I'm eBay-bidding on a jacket that looks similar to the KH version and hopefully no one will out bid me. Oh, yeah. I need leather gloves, too.

Remember I was talking about getting a job this summer?? No?? Well, I finally got an interview to Six Flags Marine World, but of course, I think Six Flags would hire anyone.

I'm joining my school's girls tennis team. Conditioning is Monday through Friday from 9am-10am. Man, I haven't exercised hard since I lost 15 pounds which was nearly 3 years ago...!! I am so going to be sore!!

What do you call cheese that isn't yours?? Nacho cheese!! I love you guys!!
