   Is It Love? Chapter 12
Hey everyone...sorry for taking to long to update this chapter.
Here is Chapter 12 as promise. I hope you enjoy it and please forgive me if I confuse you. I really try my best not to. Well Hope you like it. ( *_* )

This is a reminder for does that forgot. Haru guy will be refer as Hatsuharu...and Haru girl as Haru

Is It Love?
Chapter 12


Kyo, Yuki, Hatsuharu, J, and Mystery where by the lake in the Sohma’s land area. “Mystery, why did you brought us here?” Yuki asked.

“I brought you guys here because I’m going to tell you a story of when I was little,” Mystery said looking at the lake. Everyone stayed quiet for a moment.

“I was walking near the lake, not knowing where I was. My parents had told me not to come near the woods because you never knew what would happen. My mother said that if something happen to me, no one would hear me scream for help” Haru said with a small smile and stayed quiet. Everyone had listen carefully, even Kyo who was annoyed to come near a lake.

“I was walking back to the main house. I had finished feeding my friends.” Mystery said, everyone looked confuse. Why had Haru started then pause and Mystery had began her part of the story? It was as if they were waiting to get to the part were they both knew what was going to happen. “I decided to take the long way. I was in no mood to listen to my mother.” Everything stayed quiet and everyone knew Haru would speak next.

“My mother was not lying that time…” Haru paused “…I started to walk around the lake and noticed someone following me. I turned around to see who was, it and found it was him. I wasn’t allowed to get near him, or guys, not even from the Sohma family.” She stop, everyone turn to her and saw she had her eyes close.

“I had been near the lake when I notice one of the Sohma girls was about to fall to the lake.” Mystery said, taking their attention from Haru. “I called him, and he turned around. He did not really appreciate that I had distracted him. The girl took the opportunity to run. He started to follow her but she came to my side.”

‘Was Haru the girl?’ Kyo, Yuki, and Hatsuharu asked themselves. Their question, soon was answered as Haru spoke once again.

“I got behind her, and he stop dead in his tracks when he saw it was Mystery” Haru paused once again. They thought Mystery was going to talk but she stayed quiet. “He slapped Mystery across the face and Mystery got mad.”

“I said, ‘no one touches me, and if I don’t let my mother hit me, I will not allow anyone to hit me.’” Mystery stopped and looked up at the sky. Yuki and Kyo noticed Mystery’s eyes had change color. “He laughed and tried to slap me once again, but I was fast and snapped my fingers. My friends came, and he ran out of the woods. That’s when I put my friends in danger, after that day town people came to hunt them.”

“I would always see Mystery mother punishing her, I asked my parents why, but they never answered” Haru said once Mystery stop talking. Mystery started to stand up and J understood what was about to happen. He stood and grabbed Mystery by her wrist.

“If you started to say something, you need to finish it,” J whisper. Mystery looked at him, and nodded. She sat back down, and looked at the lake. J followed not long after.

“Well after a week, my mother wouldn’t let me out of my room. The only one that came in my room was him, and he always tried to hit me. I never let him, never show fear to him.” Mystery said looking at everyone for the first time. Yuki, Hatsuharu, and Kyo tried to figure out what emotion was going through her at that moment, but they found none.

“One day I decided to help her, but that day our mothers died in an unexplainable car accident,” Haru said.

“I didn’t show any tears in her funeral, and I never cried for her. Everyone would stare at Haru and me as outsiders. After the funeral, Sensei Kazuma took us both in. No one understood why, but he helped us get rid of our anger and revenge thoughts” Mystery said.

“After a month of training with him, father took me in, and Shigure took Mystery. Mystery was kind of happy because, she was able to get near the lake and visit her friends every day. He found out that I was friends with Mystery, he did not like the idea and said to father to get me out of his house. Father went to the only person he thought at that moment, Shigure” Haru said.

“We started to go to school together, and we got a surprise when we found out Sensei Kazuma was going to teach us again. Well, we are going to stop there. Now let us see if you can figure out my riddle, I was shy, we became friends. They all respected me, but never knew why,” Mystery said.

“I know that one,” J said.

“I know, but the riddle was not for you is for the three Sohma’s here” Mystery said. They stood up and all went back to Shigure’s house.

“Haru, Chris called and said, he was finishing his organization and soon would be here.” Shigure said when they all entered.

“Thanks” Haru said. Mystery did not say a word instead. She went to the kitchen and started to make dinner. After what seemed like hours Mystery was done and served everyone food. She let everyone choose their sits this time, and was surprise to see everyone sitting in the places she would had assigned. She did not show it, but Haru was sure she was surprise.

“Eat” Mystery said. Everyone started to eat and no one said a word. Shigure would look at everyone but said nothing. J grabbed Mystery’s hand and looked at her. “We will have to talk later,” she said. Everyone looked up from what he or she was eating.

“Talk about what?” Haru asked.

“The light Hatsuharu saw last night, I know you saw it too, but you were not awake when you saw it.” Mystery said. Everyone looked at her, and J hugged her and she let it be.

Haru looked at her and asked. “So, something did happen last night?”

“No not really,” Mystery said. She finished eating and washed her dishes. Everyone finished not long after and Mystery made them wash his or her dishes for the first time. “Hurry up” Mystery said after a while. She had sat with J at the sofa and waited for everyone else.

---At the Sohma State ---

He was standing outside Kisa’s room when Hatori called for him. “I need to check you.”

“Why, you already check me,” he said.

“Ren asked me to check you twice a day now,” Hatori said. He had no choice but to nodded and let Hatori check him once again. He had to leave the girl for the moment, but when the right time came, he would do what he had planned to do to her tonight.

---At Shigure’s House ---

Everyone sat around Mystery except Haru and Hatsuharu. They were each standing in front of Mystery. “Last night you saw a light tell me where? Answer me with the truth” Mystery said to Hatsuharu.

“It was near the lake,” Hatsuharu said.

“Where did you saw the light last night?” She asked Haru calm.

“It was near the lake,” Haru said. Mystery nodded and hit both of them on the head. “Why did you do that for?”

“Tell me the truth, if you don’t say the truth, I can’t do anything.” Mystery said. Hastusharu’s eyes widen.

‘Did they really lie?’ Kyo and Yuki asked themselves.

“Mystery calm down,” J said.

“You want me to calm down when this two idiots lie to me,” Mystery said. J nodded, and Mystery had no choice but to calm herself down. “Now tell me where did you saw the light last nigh?”

“In the direction your friends live” Hatsuharu said. Mystery’s eyes widen.

“Mystery, are you okay?” Haru asked.

“Tell me where did, you saw the light?” Mystery asked.

“In the same direction” Haru said.

“Father, call them now” Mystery said. Shigure nodded and went out side.

“Mystery, how did you know that I lie?” Hatsuharu asked.

“Please, don’t ask her that, she never answers questions like others do. She answers them with riddles when she doesn’t want to say what really happens.” J said. Hatsuharu nodded in understanding. J looked at Mystery and noticed her eyes were changing. “Mystery?” J questioned this cause Haru too look at Mystery.

“Time has come” Mystery said.

Haru went to her side and said, “If you don’t calm down everyone will find out our secret.” Mystery closed her eyes and opened them again.

“What are we doing here, you should be sleep now. What are you waiting for go to sleep” Mystery said. Yuki, Kyo, and Hatsuharu stood and went to their rooms.

“Night Mystery” J said. Mystery looked at him and smiled. He smiled and went to his room.

At that moment, Shigure entered and said, “They are outside, now I’ll go to sleep.” Mystery nodded and Shigure went to his room. Mystery went outside followed close by Haru.

Once outside she said, “Are guys okay?” The dogs barked at her. “Good, you can go now. Oh, and don’t forget to check over her,” Mystery said. They barked once again and left. “Lets rest Haru” Haru looked at her and soon both went to their rooms.

--- In Kyo and Yuki’s room ---

Kyo was turning around in his bed. He could not sleep and defiantly he notice Yuki could not sleep either. “How do you think she found out that Hatsuharu and Haru lied to her?” Kyo finally asked Yuki.

“I don’t know, but um…did you understood her riddle?” Yuki said.

“The one she made at the lake?”

“Yeah” Yuki said.

“Well she said, ‘I was shy, we became friends. They all respected me, but never knew why.’” Kyo said.

“Wow, you said it exactly like her” Yuki said and at that moment their door opened.

“Go to sleep you have school tomorrow,” Mystery said. Yuki and Kyo got under their covers and when they hear the door close, they went to sleep not wanting to deal with a mad Mystery.

--- Next Day ---

Mystery awoke everyone as usual. “If you don’t wake up right now, their will be no breakfast” Mystery call from downstairs. Mystery heard a knock on the door, and opened. “Hey Tohru,” Mystery said as she opened the front door.

“Hey Mystery I came to see if everyone ready” Tohru said.

“Well your boyfriend is going to take a while to wake up” Mystery said.

“Why is that Mystery?” Tohru asked.

“The rat is not a morning animal” Mystery said and went back to the kitchen leaving a surprise Tohru. “I will not repeat my self, if you don’t get down here in the next ten seconds you will go to school with out breakfast!” Mystery called once again.

“We are coming” Haru said from upstairs.

“Nine…eight…seven…” Mystery started to count. “Six…five…four…” right at that moment everyone ran downstairs tripping over each other. Mystery started to laugh and received a glare from everyone on the floor. “Time to eat breakfast” she said with a smile.

“Mystery” Haru said standing up and about to punch Mystery who dodged.

“When will you learn that you can’t get me when I have my back on you,” Mystery said dodging another punch.

“Maybe never,” Haru said. Mystery just kept dodging her punch while the others watch.

“What’s going on?” J asked getting out of his room.

“Haru tried to punch Mystery when she had her back on us,” Yuki said moving Tohru out of the way.

“Wow, she never learns” J said. He put himself between Mystery and Haru who ended up punching him on accident. J fell to his knees and Haru noticed Mystery’s eyes changed.

“Haru, what have I tell you about hitting my boyfriend?” Mystery asked in a dangerous tone. Haru backed away knowing trouble was coming.

J grabbed Mystery’s hand and in a sweet tone he said, “Let her be. I’m hungry, would you please give me something to eat.”

“Okay, come I made your favorite” Mystery said. J smiled and followed Mystery closed by leaving Yuki, Hatsuharu, Haru, Tohru, and Kyo surprised. “What are you waiting for? School is going to start in half an hour. Hurry and eat breakfast,” Mystery said from inside the kitchen. She gave J his food and sat by him.

“Thanks” J said. Mystery only nodded and served the others. They sat quietly when the phone rang and Mystery answered.

“Hello?”

“I’m on my way. I’ll be there in two days.”

“Okay.” Mystery said and hanged up. She went back to the kitchen and sat once again by J. Everyone except J stare at her waiting to tell them who had call. When she noticed she said, “What?”

“Who called?” Haru asked.

“Why would you like to know?” Mystery answered with another question.

“Just answered me, J, tell her to answered me” Haru said when Mystery stood up and served more juice to him.

“I don’t control her,” J said.

“Well it seemed you did in the living room,” Haru said.

“That was different,” J said. Haru glared at him and Mystery hit her on the back of the head.

“What did you do that for?” Haru asked.

“Don’t glare at my boyfriend and eat before I give that food to my friends” Mystery said. Haru glared at her and she simply smiled.

“You wouldn’t dare,” Haru said.

“Don’t try me,” Mystery said. Haru put her spoon down and drank some juice.

“I’ll be back,” Haru, said standing up. Mystery grabbed her plate and whistle. Her dog friends came and she gave Haru’s food to them. Everyone saw and eat their breakfast fast. When Haru came back, she noticed her food was gone. “Where is my food?” She asked.

“Look outside,” Mystery said. Haru looked outside and saw how the five dogs divided her food. She turned to Mystery and was about to slap her when Hatsuharu stop her.

“We are leaving,” he said. “Thanks for the food Mystery.”

“Sure,” Mystery said. Hatsuharu smiled at her and soon after Yuki, Kyo, and Hatsuharu left with Tohru by their side.

“Do you know if Haru’s boyfriend is coming?” Tohru asked.

“I think he is, but I don’t know when, by the way who of the town people know her by her name?” Yuki said.

“Matchi is the only one,” Tohru said.

“I think, I know the answered to the riddle,” Yuki said out of nowhere.

“What riddle?” Tohru asked. Kyo, Yuki, and Hatsuharu only stare at her. “Maybe, I can help you solve it.”

“You can’t,” Hatsuharu said covering Kyo’s mouth. “She said it was a riddle for us only.”

“Oh,” Tohru said and kept walking. When they arrived at school, the gates where still closed.

“I seriously don’t know why she sends us really early to school,” Kyo said.

“That’s how she has been her entire life,” Tohru said. Not long after the same black car from the previous day arrived. It just stayed there motionless until the gate open and students started too arrived. The back door open and out came J.

“I seriously wonder why he doesn’t walk with us,” Kyo said.

“If he walked with you guys…” someone said from behind which made Tohru and the three Sohma’s jump.

“Saki, please don’t do that” Tohru said.

“Sorry, any ways if J walked with you guys then Mystery would be bored and have nothing to do. She has always liked to drop off her boyfriend even when they had different schools. She was the one that took him and not the other way around. It was interesting,” Saki explained.

“That is funny if you think about it,” Kyo said and started to laugh.

“That’s why I asked her out,” J said from behind.

“What do you mean?” Kyo asked.

“She always protects her friends no matter what,” J said and walked to the building soon followed by Saki and Arisa who had stayed quiet.

--- In the car---

“He really respects you,” Haru said.

“I know and it bothers me sometimes,” Mystery said.

“Why should it bother you?” Haru asked.

“Good question,” Mystery said and drove away once she saw J entered the building.

They stayed quiet when Haru said, “Isn’t this our territory?” Mystery stopped the car and got off.

“Hello girls, who gave you my territory?” the group of girls looked at Mystery but said nothing.

“It‘s not your territory anymore,” a girl from behind said.

“Hello Motoku, tell me, who gave you my territory?” Mystery said.

“Your leader,” Motoku said.

“I never had a leader,” Mystery said still calm which surprised Motoku.

“Yes you did, it was that dude from the Sohma’s” Motoku said.

“He gave you what belong to her?” Haru asked to a surprised Motoku. Motoku nodded.

“Tell me into how many territories did he divided?” Mystery asked. Motoku raised four fingers. “Where are the other leaders?”

“One besides me is behind you,” Motoku said pointing to a girl with a red and black jacket who stepped out of the circle.

“Who are you, and why do you claim our territories to be yours?” The girl asked.

“I gain respect and the territories I fought for with the leaders before you and me.” Mystery said.

“You haven’t said your name,” the girl said.

“She will not say it, why don’t you tell her your name first and see if she will tell you hers” Haru said.

“Her name is Mio,” Mystery said out of nowhere.

“W-who…how…” Mio was out of words.

“Don’t ask” Haru said.

“Tell me, you never met her so, how do you know her name?” Motoku asked.

“She has been here for the past 15 minutes and her followers said it several times,” Mystery said.

“Never out loud,” Mio said.

“How about if I fight all of the leaders and see what happens,” Mystery said.

“You wouldn’t bit up us four,” Motoku said.

“After school here,” Mystery said.

“You still go to school I see,” Mio said.

“No, is just that I want my boyfriend to be here, just incase I need to explain my self” Mystery said.

“Okay, after school, come Mio we should warn the other leaders and tell them.” Motoku said and Mio nodded and all girls left.

“Motoku, who was that girl,” Mio asked once they were far from Mystery and Haru.

“I call her riddle girl,” Motoku said. Mio looked at her questioningly. “Her name has never been known. There are four people that know her name out of the Sohma’s.”

“Who are those people?”

“Tohru Honda, Arisa Uotani, Saki Hanajima, and Matchi Manabe” Motoku said. “They are loyal to her, and have never say her name.” after that they stayed quiet for the rest of the way.

--- Mean while at Shigure’s ---

Shigure was watching TV when he heard a car arrived. He waited for Mystery to enter but she never did. He stood up and went outside and said, “Are you two okay?”

“Yes father,” Mystery said. They all walk inside and Mystery started to clean the kitchen and she ended up cleaning the whole house and repair walls that had wholes on them. When she finished she took a showered and got ready for the fight she would be having in a couple of hours.

--- At School ---

J was listening to the teacher carefully when he felt someone watching him. He looked around and noticed it was one of the Sohma‘s. He turned back to listen to the teacher and decided to ignore him until after school. The class ended and they started their next class. “Okay, now open your books to page 252 and start reading the summary of the novel we will start tomorrow,” Sensei Kazuma said. J opened his literature book and started to read, not long after he finished and started to make a note for Mystery.
