   Second post...
Hey everyone.... Good news and bad news. The good news is that i'm going to try to be on more. The bad news is that i'm swamped at school, so i might only be on once a week. Pre-cal, english 11, and American Studies take a toll on you. Also, if you've never heard of Gaia online, (which as anime fans i'm sure you have) it's a great place. Well recently i was hacked, and now i'm out on a crusade to bring said person to justice. 'Pulls out sword and hold it in the air' Or i would be if i wasn't totally poor now. Anyway, i'm working hard to get my stuff back, so if you guys are on and can help i would apreciate it. If your not, well join and we'll be friends there too. Also, if you haven't noticed, i am long overdue for one of my rants, so here you are.

Ok. As we know, the elections are coming up, and they are way more important than bald celebritys and dead playboy cover girls. No one would care if the media cover what we needed to know. But before we look at what's coming, lets look at our current presedent. I like how whenever someone says that they hate him, they give the general answer. Something about war and oil. When you ask them if they voted against them in the last election however, they give you some bull shit responce like, "I was so discusted that i didn't vote." No, you are an idiot that likes to run your mouth and wants everyone else to solve your problems. If you notice, those who don't vote, complain the loudest. There are exception, but it's true for the most part. Also, our reason for going to war was supposedly to "liberate the people". Now i have tons of respect for those people in the armed forces, but we need leaders who don't serve personal interests. Do you think that we would be in iraq if they weren't one of the worlds leading oil producers and were almost defenceless in a full scale war? No. That's why we haven't invaded everyone else yet. By now your saying, "Well no one likes bush, as he has only 20% approval rating." Ok. that is a stitistic by the media. Put it this way. Less than half of our country votes. Not including those who are uneligible. Out of all the adults who can vote, less than half do. So take that poll, and cut it in half for the people who didn't vote. He now has about 50% aproval rating. Then take out those who didn't vote in that poll. The reason that they showed it the way that they did, was because there is a good chance that it was dominated by bush supporters. That would make his approval around 80%. But that doesn't make a good story now does it? They have to increase the people so he looks worse. I'm no supporter of him, but do you see how the media distorts our view? If you are not willing to participate in our government, radicals like saddam could be running our government one day. Scary huh?

Ok. Here's the other rant. Wal-mart. Sure it sounds like a great place where you can get good products at cheap prices. But have you ever actually looked at what you get? First off, Wal-mart started as a good company. In name of capitalism, it could operate freely. But now it has gotten out of control. Where ever a wal-mart moves in, every other buiseness dies out. Happens all the time. A wal-mart appears at the edge of a town, and by the end of a year, it's all that remains. If it hasn't happened in your town, it will happen soon. This is very dangerous for us. After they wipe everyone else out, they can charge whatever they want, for any quality that they want. Now, I can't stop you from shopping there, and i wish people wouldn't because of their buisness practices. First off, if you work, a union is your best friend. Sure they charge dues, but they give insurance and good benifits. Wal-mart does not allow them in there stores. Only one wal-mart has ever unionized, and the next day, they fired everyone and moved the wal-mart. It's no wonder why. They give almost no benifits and they hire people that don't have much say, like old people and teenagers. I know this to be true because i have friends who have worked at the wal-mart in my town. Wal-mart also has achieved horisontal intergration. If you don't know what that means, it's when a company controls one step of production almost exculsivly. Wal-mart has actually forced companies to move china because it is cheaper for wal-mart. We currently have a billion dollar trade deficit with china. If they wanted, they could shut down our entire country. Don't believe me? Last week, the buisness exchange in shanghai dropped rapidly. After that, the entire planets economy dropped. That's how powerful they are. But enough on china, back to wal-mart. They now are opening super wal-marts which include grociery stores. Notice a pattern here? Also, wal-mart has been trying to add banks and insurance to there list of servaces. Before long, wal-mart will control most of what we own. And your thinking, "So? Who cares as long as I get my cheap stuff?" Well let me tell you, our government isn't run by us. Democrat or republican, they are both controled by big buisness. don't believe me? When clinton was president, we signed an agreement that limited the amount of emissions we are allowed to emit as a country. We repelled that law. The air we breathe now is worse than ever. The government passed a bill that raised the amount of arsinic that is allowed in our water. Land that was given to protecting wildlife was sold to big buisness to make more room for factories. I'm no democrat by far, as they never get anything done, besides raise taxes. But i believe it is time for a new party to run. I'm an independant, so i vote for them. Now you probablly think i'm some crzy radical, but if you don't believe what i say is true, go online and look for yourself. Don't read the news paper or watch the news, because all of those 900 something channels that you are watching, all that radio that you listen too, and all of your newspapers are owned by about four different media tycoons. And if your paper isn't, i can almost guarentee that they own the publishers. I don't care if you don't believe me. I don't care if you think i'm full of it. But in twenty years, when we have this issues, and everyone wonders why our government is corrupt and our people are poor and dying of sickness, then you can say, oh, he told he all those years ago, and i didn't listen. I'm tired right now. I'll continue this later. And i don't hate you if you don't agree with me. This is just my point of view supported by facts. Nothing more.
