   Anime Party! Otaku Unite!

OMFG, the Anime Party was a blast, man! 8D
I won two prizes in the anime trivia game and I
won the cosplay contest! Woot-woot~! XD

So, Sam spent the night Saturday so that we
could take her to the Anime Party. We had fun.
Stayed up 'til about 3 or 4 in the morning, lol.
Shanna had come over and stayed 'til about 8.
Her mom said she couldn't spend the night,
because she had to go to church.

We were suppose to leave at around 3 for the
party, but Shanna was delayed in getting out
of church (she had to come over to make sure
her lolita skirts were fixed right) and I needed
to wash my hair bad.

Yes, we went in cosplay. I was Rukia Kuchiki
from Bleach, of course, Shanna borrowed my
"Bou"-look-alike lolita dress and Ryuk plushie
and wore her Death Note necklace and went
as Misa Aname from Death Note.

Sam had no cosplay costume yet... She really
wanted to go as Kikyo from InuYasha (that is
what she is going as to MomoCon), but she
put on kitty ears and a boa and an InuYasha
shirt and went as a crackheaded otaku kitty. XD

We get there, all throughout the mall we got
stares, but Shanna and I are such dorks, all
we have ever wanted to do is walk around in
a mall in cosplay. XD We love the stares, lol.

We walk to Fye, some black guy working in a
cell phone booth beside the place stopped me
and asked, "Where's your sword, aren't you a
Soul Reaper?" it shocked me that he knew
what I was, because he so did not look like the
anime type, lol.

We walk in, the big black dude we always see
greeted us with a smile, "Hello, ladies! Looing
wonderful!" we smiled, thanked him, walked to
the back... I stopped and smiled. There was
another Bleach cosplayer. XD

He was an Ichigo, even had the sword (though
he looked more like Hanataro and we all picked
on him all night about that XD) and they made
me pose with him a lot, lol.

Especially a guy there who runs this Alabama
anime club. He wanted our pictures for the site.
He also told us he had connections to get free
anime stuff and worked with anime cons up in
Atlanta, including MomoCon! 8D

We had so much fun. We signed up for the
cosplay contest, then we all played the trivia
game. The first prizes they handed out were
Dragon Ball Z t-shirts and cards, so, I didn't
mind not winning those... Shanna and Sam
won them, though. XD

I did win two things! The first question they asked
that I got was "What is the name of the detective
on Lupin the 3rd?"

No one knew it and I LOOOVE Lupin! People
always pick on me for it and say the show is
boring, but ha! Got me free shit! XD I was like,
"Uh... I know it, I kn-- Zeni... Zeni... Zenigata!
Zenigata!" and he made me repeat it like 4 or
5 times, I yelled it the last time. XD

I got a Case Closed DVD for that. *dances* I
like Case Closed, lol.

Then, right after that, they asked, "What is
the name of Shuichi Shindou's band on
Gravitation?" I am a Gravitation ADDICT! XD

I jump up and down, "Bad Luck! Bad Luck!"
They were like, "Didn't you just win a prize?"
because they wanted us all to get something,
but I got my choice of prize, anyway, lol. It
was between another Case Closed DVD and
an Edward (FMA) action figure. I chose Ed. :3

We then all danced like dorks to the anime
music they were blasting. XD

Then, we got into all of us talking about Gundam
Wing. The guys were saying Wing Zero and
Heero Yuy were the best while Shanna, Sam
and myself were arguing that the Death Scythe
and Duo Maxwell were way cooler! XD

It was just so awesome to talk with otaku
and we all were on the same page!

Then, this song came on and from the first
chord it sounded familiar, so, I told them to
hush a second. Shanna listened and she too
recognized it... then we screamed. XD
They played Dir en grey's "Ain't Afraid to Die"!

Kaoru's guitar solo, my FAVORITE part, played
as we were at the counter and I melted literally
onto the floor. XD

When time came for the cosplay contest, we
went to the front of the store, mind you that
business is going on as usual, all the people
who work there were with us, but there were
still people shopping and so lost. XD

We stood in the front of the store, people not
in cosplay and working there were judges.

We walked down the aisle between two rows
of DVDs to the judges and introduced our
character names and what anime we were
from. I went 2nd, after Shanna. I spoke loud
and confident, but I went buy too fast for them
to take a picture at first. XD

When it came time to judge, they got in a
circle and decided. They announced me as
winner first. The black guy with a Sasuke
shirt and Itachi headband said my Kon was
awesome. They announced Ichigo as 2nd
place for his sword, but failure to have the
hair, lol. I was joking with him earlier that he
looked more like Hanataro. The judges were
joking with him about that, too, saying if he
came as that, his chances would have been
better. XD They told Shanna she came in 3rd
and would have done better if she had the
right Shinigami plushie, lol.

She had Ryuk. That's Raito's. Misa has Rem,
but they don't sell Rem plushies and I bought
Ryuk because I love Ryuk! XD

They told me I needed my sword. I told the
guy they didn't want to see me with a sword.
He joked, "You can slice me up anytime." XD

Then, another guy, a half-white/Chinese guy
(he looked Mexican, but earlier he was joking
that he was half-Chinese and therefore he
deserved a prize for his people helped make
anime XD) asked me to do the pose where
Kon is looking up Rukia's skirt.

I didn't know how he wanted me to pose, so,
I pretended to stomp on him instead, so, he
was still looking up my pant leg. XD

It was funny, because one girl, this sweet
girl named Grace we met, said, "She doesn't
want to stomp on him, he's cu--"
and then I jumped on him. XD

The group picture was so funny! It was hot and
we were sweaty and all scrunched together, we
had to take so many pics ...one guy announced
he'd just farted and we all cracked up, even the
guy taking pictures was laughing so hard it
messed up the shot. XD

Then, a random black guy pulled out his cell
phone to take a snap and Shanna saw he had
Miami Ink on it and yelled, "Miami Ink! I love
Miami Ink!" we all cracked up and Grace was
like, "Well... that was random." XD

After the party, we went to WaldenBooks. The
guy behind the counter saw Shanna wanted
to buy Princess Princess and said, "No." and
they both went back and forth about how no,
it's not yaoi, just boys in drag, what is yaoi, all
this stuff. It was funny.

Went to Hot Topic, I saw Andrew, and one of
the girls working there said we looked cute
and fit in well with the store, lol.

We went to the Food Court to get drinks. We
walked by a table with 3 black guys about our
age and one yelled, "WHAT THE FUCK!?" and
I almost died laughing! XD

Shanna ran to the bathroom and said some
chick ran in after her JUST to tell her that
she dressed cute, lol.

I saw Andrew and called him over and I
demanded a picture of him, lol. He saw
the pic and smiled, "Nice. Totally rock
star." XD He smelled like pure ciggs when
he walked away. oxO

Went around the mall a few more time and
then went home. All in all, it was a very
awesome night. :3

On Sunday, October 21st 2007, the Fye store here in
southeast Alabama held a small anime party. Here, we
answered trivia and if you got the question right, you won
a prize. This was too big for YouTube, that's why it's here.
By the way, I would like to explain one of my answers before
anyone cusses me out. It was a Lupin the 3rd question and I'm
a HUGE fan. No one else knew the answer. I KNOW his name
is ZeniGATA and that I was saying ZeniGAWA. I couldn't think
of his name and I'm horrible with names and some people DO call
him "gawa", so, I get it mixed up sometimes. I still was the only one
with a clue, so, I won fairly. Nyah. XD

On Sunday, October 21st 2007, the Fye store here
in southeast Alabama held a small anime party.

This was right after our cosplay contest (which I won 1st
place as Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach, yay!), we decided to
dance like dorks to anime music! The song playing is the
ending theme to Shin-chan, lol.

Oh, and I dropped my poor Edward (FMA) figure on the
ground for the 100th time, that's why I was spazzing. XD
